Letters of a Troublemaker Solo Closed

Dearest Mathilda,

Hi mom. I’m sending an owl again. Two days into school, and I’ve been having an interesting time already. How is the Ministry? Any further news on the Potter trial? I wish I could be there to eavesdrop like I did last time, that was so much fun! Sorry about that again, don’t feel the need to send a Howler, I really don’t think I merit one now that’s Ive told you almost months after the obstruction. It would be a waste of paper at this point!

Well, Dubuque is currently flying for someone else, so I’ve had to send along a different favorite of mine. Her name is Zelda. I don’t think she’s named after the Legend of Zelda games made by Muggle Nintendo, but I think she’s awesome, what with the way I named myself after another popular man in green! Maybe I should find an unnamed male owl here and name him Link! Awww... that would be so cute!

Anyways, attached you should find the toilet seat in question. Interesting story of how I got my hands on it actually. I was in the abandoned toilets and I heard someone in there just as I found it. She was another girl, and she was upset about how she had accidentally dyed and cut her hair in a way she didn’t like. I tried to help of course, and guess what! Duna showed up too! I don’t know why she came along as well. I have a sneaking suspicion it was because she wanted to keep an eye on me and make sure I didn’t do anything too silly. Oh! The name of the Hufflepuff girl was Stella Rose! Honestly, I don’t know how she could hate her appearance, she’s like a dream that came true! I mean, I don’t know if I like her at all, but if I was her guy, I’m pretty sure I would get bullied way more than I do now because she’s so pretty. Anyways, I think blue is her natural hair color, and she was really concerned that it wasn’t going to come back, but I told her that if blue was her natural color, it would grow back in a few months and then she’d have really cool brown tips. In the meantime, I showed her how to mess up her hair in just the right way to look playful but not too dirty, and she looks AWESOME.

Oh! I also turned in my first school assessment. I’m waiting for it to get graded. I felt like I didn’t need your help much, and I didn’t even have to use Romeo much either! It was for Charms class! Mr. Vernatis is so awesome! He’s such a dad, even though he tries really hard not to act like one. We learned the Reparo charm and the Tarantellegra spell, and he had us cast it on skeleton keychains. I made mine into a ballet dancer and then cast the dancing charm on myself! I did a tango in front of the class, it was amazing! Everyone was laughing and enjoying themselves; I think I even managed to make Mr. Vernatis laugh! I’m really looking forward to other classes, the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher looks a little scary, but I’m sure I’ll find a way to make her laugh too!

Anyways, way past dorm checks, I’ll be in BIG trouble if I get found this late. I better wrap up and send Zelda off. I’ll try to owl next week too; and remember- you don’t need to send a Howler over an incident that’s said and done! It’s just a waste of paper after all!

Dear Mathilda,

It’s Piérre again, one week later and still kicking, as promised! No doubt you’ve seen my grade in Transfiguration so far. I got an E! Better than the T I bet you were expecting me to get! Of course, Romeo got an O, but that’s neither here nor there. I was only one point off from getting an O, and I found the secret extra credit, so you can’t say that I didn’t try! I know you really want me to work on more of my homework, but there’s just so much going on right now I don’t know how anyone can be expected to pay attention to their homework for more than a few minutes at a time. Like, for example, the school’s having a problem getting me into their system. I know I tend to make up tall tales about my history, and maybe I should come clean, but this is so much fun in the meantime! On second thought, maybe I should just tell the truth. After all, Quiddich applications close in a few days, and I really want to play Seeker. I just hope things get resolved in time.

Anyways, there was a movie night a few days ago, and it was held by one of the Gryffindor prefects! Don’t tell Romeo, he doesn’t know, and what he doesn’t know doesn’t hurt him, right? Anyways, you could say that I brought the party. My Piérre Marchonné specialty, as you know. It was awesome. I know that we didn’t watch wizard movies all that often, but it was cool to see wizard actors on screen instead of normal Muggles. It reminded me of the movie nights that Romeo and I used to watch with our first adoptive Muggle parents. I met a few new people that I’ll write to you about in a few days, but for right now, it is morning and I’m missing breakfast in the Great Hall.

I’ll try to write back soon, and I send Zelda with my love (but without pranks or toilet seat sadly). More homework and grades on the way, I’m sure. I want to be an awesome wizard like you after all, and I want to make my Muggle parents and my real parents, whomever they may be, proud.

Dear Mathilda and my dearest Romeo,

Hi again, it’s me. I’m sorry for not writing immediately after Romeo transferred, but I was rather distressed for the longest time after his departure. I was stressed to the point that I was not feeling myself. Missing classes, while I did do such things in a Muggle school, is not becoming now in Hogwarts, and I understand that you and my family would be disappointed in me had I never said anything. I just don’t understand why you didn’t just contact the Headmaster, or at least tell me of your plans ahead of time. Had you told me, I would have volunteered to join Romeo and taken up schooling in Durmstrang!

Here I go, spurting off nonsensical nonsense like usual. I am only flustered. My dorm seems so much quieter without you, Romeo, and you know how I don’t make friends well or easily. You were always the one pushing me to do awesome things, and my Quill Pal hasn’t responded. It’s fine, though. I don’t really want to apply for another one.

There was a Gryffindor verses Ravenclaw dodgeball game a few days ago, which I attended, but was unable to play in. You would have been proud of me for simply attending, I would think. There were no memorable conversations right off hand, but I do remember petting a cat, Schrödinger by name, who was quite sweet once I fed him. You would have liked him too, Romeo!

Anyways, I managed to get on Quiddich, and they’re currently preparing the teams. Five Seekers tried out, so I hope I’ll at least get second string. Getting placed on waitlist would be a little upsetting. I’m okay, though. Even if I do end up on waitlist, I may be able to get some schoolwork done. Maybe.

So, don’t want to sound too long winded. I’ll wrap up. It been a pretty uneventful week without you, Romeo, and I hope that I can see you over Christmas Break!

Dear Mathilda and my dearest Romeo,

Another week, another letter from yours truly. As you can hopefully see form my report card, I’m getting pretty consistent grades. An E is pretty good for me, but I’ll see what I can do to attempt an O. Defense Against the Dark Arts is harder than it first appears, hence my P. Hey, at least it’s not a T or a D. I’m pretty good in most of my classes (watch the most), and I can’t wait to learn more charms. I need some practical knowledge in my life.

There’s a lot of clubs here, and the one I want to join most is the Dueling Club. I’ve heard a lot of cool things about it. Evidently, you can get some pretty awesome rewards as well as experience if you win. You know how competitive I am! The people who run it say that the classroom is still getting revamped, so we have to wait a while, but that’s okay. The longer the wait, the better it’ll be, I’m sure! When it’s open, you can bet I’ll be the best dueler you’ve ever seen! You better watch your back, Romeo, I’m challenging you when I get home! (You’re probably gonna beat me, but that’s okay, at least we both learn!)

Quiddich team got released a few days back, only a day after I sent my previous owl. Bad news is that I’m not on either participating string, I’m on reserve. Second in the waitlist. My only hope now I guess is that if someone decides to drop or if they get to injured to play. Of course, I don’t wish any I’ll on a person, but is it bad that I kind of do? Just so that I can play in honor of the Gryffindors? I mean, I don’t know why I wasn’t really a good choice. Yes, I’m a first year and not as advanced as some other students, but I’m fast, hard to hit, and have a great eye for the Snitch... Oh well, next year right?

Oh! By the way, we’re also having a Masquerade this Halloween! I don’t know if it would be possible, but you can ask Romeo for help as well, he knows more about history than I do, if you could try and find a traditional Italian masque? Maybe you could even make one magically or duplicate one or something... It’s muggle-made, but you know that everything Muggles make almost always have a wizard equivalent, so it shouldn’t hurt to try, right? Try and find a jester one, preferably silver or gold, maybe scarlet if I feel like wearing my house colors... I already have some suits in mind, so you don’t have to worry about finding those for me.

I can’t wait to owl you all again. Romeo, please do owl more often, twice a day, please! Tell me more about the Liberalis house. Have you made friends yet? Are Durmstrang’s studies like ours? Are the teachers really as scary as the stories say about them?

Dear Mathilda and my dearest Romeo,

It is I, Piérre Marchonné!

Oh, what a story this week I’ve to tell you!

We’ll start small.  The first Quiddich games have begun!  Ravenclaw vs Gryffindor and Hufflepuff vs Slytherin!  The games are still in progress, so I dunno how long it’s gonna take for them to finish!  Hopefully before the winter set in, right?  Haha!

Second thing, I got my second lesson for DADA graded.  It’s an E!  Thanks so much, Romeo!  I knew you wouldn’t let me down!  Love you lots, bro!  Keep up your studies in Durmstrang as well, I don’t want to be dragging you down with me, you know!

Third thing, there was a Hufflepuff party on Sunday, and I went!  Hufflepuffs exclusively!  I wore a really nice gold and black tux I found, Italian heritage, duh, and I masqueraded for a long time and nobody noticed.  Okay, so maybe it was more like three minutes, but still!  Eventually the Hufflepuff head has to convince me to leave, and he was so nice....  Well, and you know how it’s respectful to listen to adults and all that nonsense.  Didn’t really have much choice, you know.

Third of all!  No, wait, fourth...  The ILVERMORNY STUDENTS ARE HERE!!!  I SAW THEM WITH MY OWN TWO EYES!  I’m so excited!  I can’t wait to meet them!  I hope they’re awesome and nice to get along with.  Maybe I can dance with a few at the masquerade coming up!  I’m so excited!

Fifth, I met Peeves for the first time.  Whew, an experience to be sure!  He’s a tough nut and a little mean too, isn’t he?  No matter, I’ll get through him eventually!  We’ll be he best partners in crime that anyone’s ever faced!  Haha!  Watch out Hogwarts, here comes Marchonné and Peeves!

Sixth (a lot of stuff, I know), a writing contest got released!  I love stories!  I’m gonna submit one I told you about Romeo!  You know, the one with dystopian earth and like, huge countries who are xenophobic of one another?  Yeah, that’s the one!  I hope that I do well!  It’s hard to keep things like this bundled up inside without shouting for joy at any given moment!

I do hope that Durmstrang will have an event like Ilvermorny...  I really want you to meet some of my friends, Romeo.  I’m sure they would love you if you just talked to them instead of getting buried in your books.

Well, no rest for the wicked...  I hope to talk to you all soon with a lot of other cool news!  It’s past dorm hours, though, so I better sprint to my dorm, jump in the bunk and turn out the light.  Take care of Zelda for me!

Dear Mathilda and my dearest Romeo,

Another week, another letter. Unfortunately, things have been somewhat slow recently. I haven’t had much to comment upon for these past days. I guess last week was the exciting week, and it’ll take a bit for the excitement and events to unfold.

The Illvermorny students really seem to want to keep to themselves, because I hadn’t see any yet other than when they first came. Maybe I should make a point of seeking them out. I haven’t met anyone from the americas other than Duna, and it might be interesting to see how their culture compares to our own, right?

Hm... and I’ve been thinking about the Quiddich teams. I’m still on reserve, but I’ve been bumped up to first in the waitlist for seeker instead of second, so that’s good, right? But what about the people who are really far down in the waitlist, or people who don’t want to play seriously? I want to do something for them, and I have an idea, I’ve made a poster and everything, I just don’t think it looks really good. I think I might need help making it look nice and have it get noticed. I should talk to Maggie or someone artistic... I’ve heard that Duna’s really artistic, so maybe I can ask her?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I’m in another club now too! The CAT, creative artist tribe. I’m going to be playing my mandolin and singing and stuff. I really hope to improve my art as well, but it’s good to branch out further than just mischief.

Dear Mathilda and my dearest Romeo,

Hello! So much homework this last week! I think I turned in at least five assignment in three days, and guess what! I got an O in Transfiguration! It’s so exciting! I love that class, it’s one of my favorites, and Miss Cypresse is so awesome! I think I do better in that class than in Charms! Is that normal? I don’t know.

Anyways, only a few more weeks until the Masquerade! Thanks for sending along the masque, it’s super awesome! I’ll make sure to color it to match my outfit when the time comes!

I made more progress on my novel, and now I’m more than halfway done with time he errands leading up to actually writing! Maybe I should start writing it out for November. Hey Romeo, would you be able to proofread it for me? It’ll be a long parchment, but I’m sure that Dubuque will be able to carry it when he’s free.

Again, this owl is different. Zelda had to make a long trip. This one is Winnipeg. He’s a bit of a screecher, so I’m sure you were woken up by him to let him in and get my letter.

Imma finish up the rest of the Quiddich posters. Hopefully I’ll be able to post them within the next two days? Grr... I’m going to have to focus, even though I did nearly burn down my dorm room a few nights ago with the Incendio charm that I just learned in Herbology... Yeah, that was a fun night, you may lay to it.

Anyways, better refocus on class and keep doing my work. I hope that I get an awesome Transfiguration grade again! Then I’ll really be on track to become an Auror! Wish me luck!

Dear Mathilda and my dearest Romeo,

Hello! How’s Durmstrang, Romeo? You’ve been kind of quiet lately, even for your own typical nature. I hope they aren’t working you to the bone with any military practices, I need you alive in order to have you cover up for my misdeeds. Mwa-ha-ha...

But really, what’s been bugging you? I really like hearing from you, especially when I’m doing my homework. Gryffindor is currently tied for first place in the cup because of a Ravenclaw who just got an O in a class. Not to fear, however, because Piérre is turning in some homework! My story is almost done as well. I just need to finish up secondary characters and I’m ready to rumble!

Maddie? Could I borrow some money to buy a suit from Madam Malcom’s for the Masquerade? I just need to find something red and something green, and probably blue as well... I’ll choose later, but I just need a few Galleons, three at the most... Don’t feel stressed at all, though, I can make my own clothes if worst comes to worst!

Once again, past curfew, I better make sure I don’t get another detention. My first one with Koko was pretty fun, but I don’t want to get caught by a teacher this time. Owl you in a week!

Dear Mathilda and my dearest Romeo,

Hello! Tonight is the Masquerade! I’m so excited! I didn’t find a date, and I’ll be going alone, but I’m sure that I’ll be just fine. I’ve heard stories that some of the students are exactly excited to have another ball, because the first one in the spring last year ended poorly, but rumors will be rumors, right? Surely this one will be a little different... Thank you so much for the masque, it’s beautiful! I’m just about to go downstairs to change, so I guess I’ll go as either Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. Its so exciting, I can’t wait to meet everyone!

Quidditch finished a few days ago. Ravenclaw won.... grrr.... only barely, though. We’ll get them next time! We also stole the house cup from them for the month! Even with the Quidditch win, they couldn’t overtake us! I was one of the top three Griffs to help contribute! I’ll keep doing that, just so that we keep getting an awesome win streak and so that I can improve my grades.

I shouldn’t rant for too long, I wanna get to the party early so that I can scope out the best way to cause a little trouble. Not too much trouble, of course, but you know me!
