At the same time, the two burning snakes cast the same spell on themselves. Well sadly, the results were not the same. When the light that came from the tip of Landon's wand flew to where he was burned and stopped the fire, Nico's wand just lighted up a bit and the light disappeared immediately.

Maybe the red hair girl was too surprised, or the fire affected her and distracted her from casting it nicely. Based on the fact that the fire on Nico was not that small, Luna wasn't surprised about the small mistake that girl made.

Storm luckily just got hit by Incendio, which was not as scary as Incendio Duo. Not to mention, with his skill, it didn't take too long to the fire to stop.

Palmer was polite, but that did not mean he would go easy on Storm. The guy did not hesitate to cast the ticklish spell on Storm. Maybe Storm was too focusing on stopping the fire or because Palmer aimed too perfectly, the spell hit. Within a second, the guy started laughing. However, she doubted that it didn't hurt anything when he had to keep laughing like this. Maybe his throat will hurt...

Back to the girls, things were scarier than she thought. The fact that Nico was unable to put out the fire was actually not as small as she thought. And even before she could notice what happened, she saw Nico laying down on a place which was not close at all to where the red hair was standing a few seconds ago. It had to be the knockback jinx but... seriously, that was pretty powerful.

Dan smirked. That would keep Landon busy for a while. Long enough to help Nico.

He looked at the two girls, and once again felt a pang of guilt at the idea of attacking Elena. One does not easily attack someone who saved them from a god-knows-how-long fall of doom. But, eventually, his desire to win won out.

Dan winced. "Sorry Elena."
He flourished his wand and pointed at her. "Flipendo!"

Elena raised an eyebrow, "I'm making Jake from Endless Summer proud, and that's all that matters here on this day. Don't make me invoke his power by singing Wonderwall. I can and I will, I'll even start the nicknames."

"Don't worry about it Dan! Always willing to take a hit for a friend." Elena winked and whooped before trying a damn fine dodge.

Nico rest her hand on her head as she got up from being flinged backwards. She was starting to not look so good. But she wouldn't step down. Not yet.

She took a deep breath and aimed her wand at herself once more. This wouldn't be that easy. Hopefully the hit to the back of her head wouldn't influence her aiming as much. Lightly shaking her head she focused, softly speaking:

'Extinguo'.

The duel was intensifying and Landon wasn’t sure what the outcome would be. Spells were successful and others failed left and right. Even worse - he felt himself beginning to tire but he wasn’t going to give up just yet.

Pointing his wand to Nico again - he waved it in front of him and with resounding confidence, or as much as he could muster, he shouted “Rictusempra!”

The three wand's tips all lighted up at once. None of them missed, neither did Nico. Finally, the flame which was hurting her disappeared within a second. That being said, the girl wasn't being hurt anymore. Good for her, she guessed.

Maybe because Storm was being affected by the curse, Nico easily dodged his spell after the fire disappear. This curse was sure scary... She couldn't understand why it was taught so early, who knew what the crazy pupils could do with it...

In the meantime, because instead of casting the blue-haired girl chose to dodge, there was no doubt she could dodge the spell easily. It seemed like the duel was getting more dangerous over time...

"Aw come on!! Now I feel worse!"
Dan stamped his foot slightly in a pouty way. He didn't WANT to fight with Elena. But it was looking like he had to. If he could only hit her once, it would be over with. Maybe. Possibly. He didn't really know. That just sounded cool and dramatic in his head, and so he went with it.

He flourished his wand and aimed at Elena again.
"Flipendo!"

Elena needed to dodge again, so she dodged like it was going out of fashion. She quantum leapt out of the way, there was an almost earthshattering move of ‘no don’t hit me’.

“No don’t feel bad! It’s just a duel, we can hang out in the hospital ward and eat chocolate after!” Elena said cheerfully, as she once again dodged away from the fight.

Happy that she managed to take out the flames, Nico looked down at the damage. Some more rips had appeared in her clothing. Still... repairable. But then almost anything could be repaired in this school. Nico smiled softly and sighed relieved.

But enough dillydallying. She was getting tired. But it wasn't over yet. Nico lifted her hand gracefully, which held onto her wand. Aiming at Elena, she softly spoke: 'Flipendo.'

Landon was getting frustrated and it was clear by the way he whipped his wand back in front of him after yet another failed attempt. This was not going as planned ... despite barely having a plan. He looked at each of them and then cursed under his breath before realizing that both of their opponents were trying to tag team Elena. He pointed his wand to Nico and shouted “Flipendo!”
