Haley traveled the path to Greenhouse One and admired the day. Though somewhat chilly, the sun shone brightly in the cloudless blue sky, providing warmth as it hit her face. As she entered the greenhouse, the sun filtered inside through the glass ceiling. She unraveled the striped red and gold scarf from around her neck as the humidity inside made the air feel warmer. She made her way across the room through the rows of wooden tables to where Avery had settled. Prior to taking Herbology, she had never considered the fact that plants were alive. While some could survive in harsh, even hazardous conditions, others required meticulous care to grow and thrive.

Haley expected that class would be a different experience today. She normally kept to herself unless required to partner with another student. She took thorough notes, but occasionally doodled or daydreamed during less interactive parts of a lecture. Today she would be sitting with Avery and her friend, maybe even making friends herself? She smiled as she approached Avery and sat beside her. "It's always so humid in here, but it's nice isn't it? Or is that weird? It makes my hair frizz but I dunno, it feels nice with how cold it is outside, at least." She set her bag down on the wooden bench and pulled off her gloves. She shoved them and her scarf inside her bag and pulled out her notebook and quill before pulling her bright orange hair back into a low ponytail.

Avery smiled when she saw that Haley had arrived. This was going to be a fun day. As Haley settled in and set her stuff down. Avery became more excited for the lesson. She couldn't wait to see what would be in store for the lesson today! Herbology lesson always excited Avery, though. Regardless of what it was about. "It is always really humid in here, but it is also a nice break from the freezing cold of outside too." Avery smiled again in agreement. She loved that the Greenhouse was always warm when it was freezing outside. It helped take the chill out of her body that she got whenever she walked to get here. Avery finally pulled out her notes. She wanted to take careful notes since they helped her always finish the assignments quicker. That's probably why Avery loved doing lessons so much. SHe was eager to learn more magic and achieve her goals in life. And getting good grades was just the start to her adventure of a lifetime. Avery glanced around the room. It looked as if all the students had arrived. Soon it would be time to start the lesson of the day and Avery couldn't wait to find out what it would be.
