Date : February 5th, 2025 Color code : Written|Thought|Said Sere entered the Duelling Club while massaging the back of her neck. She didn't know when and how she fell asleep last night, but this morning she woke up leaning against the headboard, looking down with an open astronomy textbook on her lap. Of course, a neck pain now attacked her with fairly severe scale of pain. She even gritted her teeth several times when she accidentally turned her head in sudden motion. "Why this problem has to come today? Bad timing!" Sere was still complaining to herself. The timing was indeed so bad because today she had an appointment to moderate another unofficial duel.
Everyone was preparing themselves for the Winter Games. So was a girl named Silva Melinora, a new duelling roster from Ravenclaw. Sere accidentally heard Silva muttering about 'duel practice' and 'needing a moderator' in Great Hall few days ago. So with her instincts, Sere approached the girl and offered herself as a moderator. Today, Silva would practice with another new Ravenclaw roster, Yougle Crenshaw.
Sere's steps headed towards one of the empty piste on the right side of the entrance, waiting patiently for both of the duellists while massaging her neck. After a while, everyone was on the piste and looked ready for a duel. "Hi! I'm Sere Nade, second-year of Gryffindor." Sere looked at Yougle, "Nice to meet you, Yougle." Then turned to the other girl, "And, hi again Silva!"
"Let's proceed to the duel. I hope you know the rules!" Sere crossed her arms, "Get your head in the game, I'm sure there are important things you can get from this practice." The Gryffindor girl herself also had to get her head in the supervision, literally, not to make any sudden turning movements. "In your places, and start!"ReducioOOC Note: Permission to godmod Silva was granted by the writer. Since you said that Silva is super shy, I twisted it little bit into Sere offering herself to be the moderator. Let me know if anything needs to be changed!

𖣔 Silva had tears in her eyes. Yougles spell, while badly done, still hurt quite a bit. Once it stopped hurting so much she looked at her opponent and couldn't help but feel offended. She knew it was a duel but that didn't mean Yougle had to do such a painful spell right from the beginning. She pushed that feeling away. She was going to have to learn how to deal with pain if she was going to be a duellist and now was as good a time as any to start.
Her thoughts went from pain to excitement as her spell succeeded. Yougle was surrounded by bright green light. She grinned at the brightness of the spell. It might not do that much but it would make it that much easier for her to dodge any spells next round.
She turned to Sere again for just a second as their moderator called out for the round to begin. She wracked her brains for an idea of what to do. That first round gave her a disadvantage in stamina but an advantage for this second round. She needed to use that advantage to the best of her ability and prevent her disadvantage from being capitalized on. Otherwise she was in trouble. 𖡟

Date : February 5th, 2025 Color code : Written|Thought|Said The first round went by so.. brightly, literally bright. Sere had to squint to see what was happening between the two duellists. Yougle casted The Fire-Making Spell, although the fire spell looked weak but it was still casted successfully. Only by a small margin the Incendio managed to hit its target. Silva was burn in the magical fire only for a moment, but it wasn't set aflame. The Incendio effect wore off immediately after. "That was a pretty good start." If only her neck wasn't in pain, Sere would have nodded in satisfaction.
On the other hand, Silva's method was not directly offensive, she chose Verdimillious to weaken the accuracy of her practice opponent and she succeeded very well. The green light would cover Yougle's vision in the next round. Who knows what Yougle would do to overcome it. Sere was interested to see what happened next.
Both of them showed quite good performances at the beginning of the match, but Sere didn't want to jump into conclusions too quickly. The second and third rounds usually showed their ability to maintain their performances, so Sere reminded, "This is great now. Keep your focus." The British-Korean girl massaged her neck as she said, "Alright, round two, start!"

Date : February 5th, 2025 Color code : Written|Thought|Said Sere could see some expressions and movements from both duellists that showed the combination of confusion and awe when each other's spells were right on target in the first round. Yougle with her eyes blinking rapidly and Silva with tears appearing due to the fire spell. Sere didn't really remember how was she handle it at the start, on her first duel and when she was hit by a spell for the first time, all she could remember was that she only lasted for 4 rounds before she passed out and ended up in the Hospital Wings. That was quite painful, maybe very painful at that time.
Back to the duel. In this second round, Yougle moved here and there, actively dodging, despite the effects of the Green Sparks Charm that seemed to still be there. Such a wise move, there was no point in releasing a completely inaccurate spell. If someone choose it, that kind of action could be done, of course, but those who did it must have been either too brave or too desperate.
Yougle locked her position in this round when the spell that Silva cast, The Dancing-Feet Spell, was successfully dodged. Whether Yougle knew it or not, her wisdom proved to be fruitful. "Yougle managed to evade Silva's Tarantallegra." Sere informed, just in case the blinded girl didn't know what was happening.
The third round was about to begin. Such a long way to go, Silva still has plenty of chances to turn the table. Sere cleared her throat, "Next round, start!"
ReducioNote:
1. The late posts of both duellists were informed ahead and allowed by the moderators for this round.
2. I make edits for Yougle's total STA in two previous moderation posts. I wrote it 700/700 when it should be 600/600. It's fixed now.

𖣔 Silva was irritated. Yougle had taken the smart approach after her sparks charm and chosen to just dodge. That was bad for Silva though because Yougle easily managed to avoid her next spell. At least it gave them a respite in the action.
She didn't dare close her eyes but she relaxed slightly and thought for a moment about what she should do next. She only had a moment though because Yougle would be able to see again soon. She quickly decided and got ready to start again.
She was beginning to find that, despite everything she'd thought she'd do, she was really not very competitive. She wanted to win, sure, but she would also be alright if Yougle won. It didn't matter as much to her as making a new friend would. Therefore, she cared more about not offending her opponent then winning against them.
Man, that was a terrible way to think in a duel. Maybe duelling wasn't really for her...
She shook off those thoughts as well as her ones about winning and got ready to give the rest of this duel her all. Whether she won or not, she wanted to be sure she'd done the best she could have. 𖡟

Date : February 5th, 2025 Color code : Written|Thought|Said The duellists who were still in their first year certainly had limited options in terms of spell choices. Sere felt how much knowledge gap there was when becoming a younger duellist that competing against the seniors. They obviously had more spell references. She was confused and wanted to immediately move up to the next year, to learn more new spells she could use in duel. Maybe that was also what the two duellists on the piste experienced right now. Their limited references made the same spell casted several times, in this case by Silva. Instead of boring, the Gryffindor honestly really appreciated the performance of the spell: it's getting better. Sere could see the Dancing-Feet Spell appearing from the tip of her wand perfectly and heading smoothly towards Yougle. "That was a really great one. Practice makes perfect." Sere muttered in acknowledgement.
Yougle, this girl once again used a dodging strategy: either still observing the situation or also feeling confused about what steps to make with such limited spell options. In any case, Silva's spell was successfully dodged. "Also a really good choice of action. That spell would feel hurt if you didn't dodge. Anyway, I think the effect of the Verdimillious was already gone a little moment earlier."
Sere folded her arms. Both duellists were in good condition now. She wondered what steps they would take next.
