The February issue of the Headliner had just come out, and its release left Koko awake even earlier than usual, sorting through papers in the office before lugging a stack of newspapers to the Great Hall. If there was any way to boost readership, she reckoned, force had to be one of the better options.

As such, her heels clicked against the wooden floor in a manner that might perhaps be menacing to some of the younger students. She had rolled up the sleeves of her royal blue sweater in preparation for her self-assigned task. Light brown eyes glanced sidelong and downwards through mascara-ed lashes and under gold-shadowed lids as she began to pass out the papers.

Some of them she was kinder with. A few students were lucky enough to have a copy of the Headliner none-too-rudely shoved into their expectant hands. Some others had ink-scented paper shoved towards them until it made contact with their less-expectant faces. And still others now had papers and words mixed up in their eggs and toast. One paper had been tossed towards someone’s drink, which unceremoniously had spilled onto their trousers, not that Koko had particularly cared. Any publicity was good publicity.

As she walked down each row of tables, dropping papers at as many students as possible, she did her best to advertise the newspaper. 'Extra, extra,' she said blandly, 'Read all about it.'

To the occasional, perhaps rather unlucky, student, Koko would lean closer to them and suggest an article of interest, or comment on a photo. 'I’d read about confessions if I were you,' or 'Have you seen the rumour mill article yet? Might be interesting,' or, even, without even an ounce of shame, 'I heard there’s an article about amortentia in there, if you’re curious, which you absolutely SHOULD be.'
