So Dan Palmer....
When Pam had signed up for the letter delivery thing for another shot of the potion, she hadn't expected to be assigned to some random student she had never even spoken to in her life. Although, she wasn't really sure what she had expected. And to add topping to the not-so-delicious cake, the person had turned out to be a seventh year. Just my luck. It couldn't have been someone from a lower form, no. It just had to be the highest one. She scoffed, fully judging whoever it was that had assigned her the job. They're setting me up. I might as well give up.
Now you would wonder, It's just a random seventh year, Pam. Why are you freaking out? Well, to put the record straight, this specific seventh year was the Captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team. So he was the kind of role model for Pam who was still training to not pretty much embarrass herself on the Quidditch pitch. Also, she couldn't remember the last time Slytherin had lost a match.
Had she mentioned that the guy was a seeker?
Yep. Talk about terrible luck. She would never be able to get out of trouble. The guy had eyes of a hawk. She groaned, stomping her way over to the Quidditch Training Pitch where she found him helping out some others.
Don't get too hopeful. Don't get too hopeful. She chanted in her head as she made a beeline for the male's bag, slipping the letter out of her pocket in the process.
Oh, she was down for a dance.

Dan was having a grand time on the pitch. Like always, really. He was using his profound knowledge of Quidditch to coach the team in new techniques, some of which he had come up with himself. Nothing like new plays to add to the book, but more techniques to modify and improve the ones that already existed.
He himself was trying to find a new way to chase after the snitch. But, he wasn't coming up with much. It seemed that no matter what angle he went about it, there really was only one way to chase and then catch the golden snitch.
This annoyed him, as he was wanting to innovate. He wanted to invent new ways to do everything, new methods for every position. And, frustratingly, the one he was drawing a blank on was HIS position.
As he turned to Percival to have him try a new Bludger Bonking technique, he caught sight of a girl moving across the bottom of the field. And, as had been happening often lately, his head jerked, and he eyed her from the side. Just like a Peregrine Falcon would... Surely his animagus had nothing to do with it. Probably.
He decided that practice was more important than some random Hufflepuff girl walking on the ground, but that he would keep an eye on her, regardless.

Speech -- Thoughts
Pam found herself scanning through all the bags kept on the ground, wrinkling up her nose at the sight of some of the bags which seemed to have been practically discarded, lying on the ground in various kinds of messes. Some people have no respect for stationary.
Her eyes scanned over the bags, thanking heavens for the fact that most of the bags had nametags attached to them. Best hope Dan's also has a name attached to him. She had spotted the guy up in the air a while ago, flying around on his broom. She vaguely wondered how much practice he had needed to be as good at Quidditch as he was. I wonder if I'll ever be that good.
She figured that it was a good thing that the seventh year was flying at that moment, because, even if she did get caught, it would take him a while to get off his broom and catch her. Assuming he doesn't decide to fly said broom into me.
Her eyes finally fell on a pair of shoes next to a bag arranged meticulously on the ground. Pam eyed the shoes, Did someone lose them? Even as she thought it, she knew that was not the case, for the shoes were kept well, seemingly have been opened. She scanned the people on the pitch rather subconsciously, moving from one set of shoes to another. She was brought back to the task at hand by the sight of the Slytherin Quidditch Captain on his broom, bare-footed. Pam turned away before she could spend to long judging the senior's choices, instead focusing on the bag in front of her.
Well, the target has been spotted.
She quickly pulled out the letter from her pocket, and slipped it into the smallest chain of his bag, hoping that the male wouldn't totally miss it. Well, even if he did, she had only been told to deliver the letter, not ensure it was read.
Right?

Dan continued his practice, but his falcon eyes were on the girl as well. With a good bit of finesse, he nabbed the snitch he let out.
He looked at his beaters, batting the bludgers all over the place, even beating them to where they were flying to knock them again. The Cloud Cobras were going to do just fine when he left.
And from what he understood, they might have a new Palmer to take his place soon.
Then he detected more movement, and snapped his head to one side, eyeing the girl that had come. She was at his bag, and then she hurried off. He hadn't seen her take anything though... Weird. So sabotage was off the table. He had thought that maybe she was trying to steal his uniform or something.
But then again... Maybe she had left a potion in there to incapacitate him for the game... But that would assume he drank it...
Dan flew back to the locker room and put his broom in his locker. After which, he shifted into his Animagus, a Peregrin Falcon, and flew to his bag. There was a letter in there... Strange.
He took it in his talons and flew after the girl, easily eclipsing her in speed, and shifted back to his usual, barefooted Irish boy self.
"Oi. D'ja lose this, lass? Or was it fer me? 'F it's a love letter, hate to tell ye, I prefer the lads."

Pam's attempt to flee from the scene of crime did not work out well at all. So much for not getting caught... Well this is convenient.
Pam wondered if it was nice to be an animagus. She had not met a lot of animagi at school, hell she hadn't met a single one before Dan, yet the idea of turning into a bird felt...rather weird. It did seem a lot convenient though. The guy dropped his broom in the locker room, then found the letter, and then cut off her escape route in a matter of a few minutes. Pam was jealous.
Pam yet again noted the fact that the male was bare-footed, and yet again, barely stopped herself from judging the guys life choices. Luckily though, he did not seem too mad about the fact that she had been snooping around his belongings.
His next words though made Pam want to melt into the ground out of embarrassment.
She spluttered, nearly tripping over her feet as he stopped in front of her, "W-what, no! Yes! I mean, yes that's for you, no it's not a love letter!" How do you tell a person that they're not your type? And there's too much age gap? I probably shouldn't say that... She cleared her throat, trying to hold onto some semblance of her barely remaining dignity, "I was...um... told to deliver that..." Well it's not a total lie.
