Thank you! I change my pfp monthly, lmao. March is spring season in Scotland (from what I gathered) and figured this is the most appropriate picture for that specific season. This will be for 3 months (I hope).

But now, I think it exhibits rigidness. Poetry should be embedded with emotions of the poet; free-flowing. I still write with metres though, sometimes.

See, my poems extremely rarely - if at all - follow a set metre, per se. Or else I am subconsciously following one without realising it

But I have always preferred free form, using punctuation for breaks and speeding up/slowing down rhythm

That's good! The only thing I'm good at is writing stories! I've tried writing poems, but they don't end up too great.

That's good! The only thing I'm good at is writing stories! I've tried writing poems, but they don't end up too great.

We did found poetry last week (think of it as making a poem using an existing text) and I did one based on the dialogue used in a film.

So I wrote a short poem which contains nothing but lines of dialogue from that film - I know I'm not the first to do that but I couldn't help but feel like I was plagiarising what I'd written
