Ugh, November wasn't going well at all. It was coming to an end, though, at last. September and October were perfect — all of the teachers went easy on them, since it was their first year and first few months overall. At least that was how Amelia had experienced it.

But now, the professors seemed to assume the students felt at home, because essays and homework were due every other day. Amelia spent far too long in the library, in her opinion. She didn't mind reading, she enjoyed it, actually. But having a deadline for it, and having to remember each detail, was tiresome.

Amelia sighed, moving her finger over the books in the row in front of her. She was looking for a specific book, for Charms homework. But it was not where it was last time, for some reason. If only she hadn't had an essay due in two days... She really, really needed to confirm that piece of information before handing in the essay.

She knew what that book looked like— she had already used it, she just wasn't sure if she'd written the information down correctly. Looking around her, hoping to catch sight of the book, Amelia felt alone in the world, with the wooden bookshelves towering over her.

Oh, there it was! The Charms book was huge in Amelia's twelve-year-old hands. The cover was a deep shade of purple, with a nearly unreadable title written in silver, the letters almost completely peeled.

Amelia turned around and out of the row of shelves, ready to find a desk and complete her essay. She turned pages, looking for that specific parag— "Whoa!!"

A short, involuntary yelp escaped her. Amelia stumbled on a pile of books that lay on the floor, and was now about to crash straight down.

𝓣he library has been one of her favorite place. It is quiet. She absolutely loves that it is filled with the faint rustling of pages of books, the occasional scratch of quills against the parchment, and a quite murmur of students reading. Hearing those sounds is very relaxing. Erendriel preferred it this way, it is where she could have a quiet time all for herself.

She moved carefully between the towering bookshelves. While her fingers grazing through the spines of old books as she searched for a particular book she needs for her Transfiguration assignment.

Just as she stepped into the next aisle, a muffled thud reached her ears, quite yelp, and the unmistakable sound of books shifting.

Erendriel barely had time to react before a girl stumbled over a pile of books right in front of her. Without hesitation, Erendriel reached out, grasping the girl's arm to steady her before she could crash onto the floor.

"Are you alright?" Erendriel asked with her calm voice, her grip firm but gentle. "You nearly had a rather unfortunate meeting with the floor. And that would’ve made unpleasant for you." she tilted her head slightly as she studied the girls situation. She held her on, just long enough to make sure that she had regained her footing before letting go.

She glanced at the books on the floor. “Did someone leave these here?” she wondered, It wasn’t like the librarian to let books lie around like this. Of course, its unless someone put those books on the floor intentionally. Looking back at the girl, she offered a small reassuring smile.

“You should be more careful” She crouched down and reached for the fallen book, gently brushing dust from its cover before handing it back to her. “At least nothing’s broken.”

November was a tiring month for Victoria. She was constantly spending time in the library for the homework she had to do. She was now spending so much time in the library that she had piled up the books she used in one place in the library.

This time, just like last year, she was bringing her mouse Vick. As far as she knew, animals were not allowed in the library, but Tori had broken that rule a few times. That's why she carried her bag carefully.

When she arrived at the library, the ancient and mystical scent filled Tori's nose. It made her feel right at home. She pushed her red hair out of her way and went there, hoping that her seat in the library would be empty.

When she came to the place where the pile was, he saw two girls there and he saw one girl holding her as she was about to fall.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry I didn't think this pile would turn out like this. I guess I should have thought about it I mean it was predictable. Anyway are you okay? I'm so so so so sorry."

Tori look two girl.

"Thanks," Amelia said, shuddering a bit. The fall was more sudden than scary, and therefore, shocking. Amelia took a deep breath and steadied herself, using the hand that had caught her. She then straightened and took a look at her saviour. It was a girl, with gorgeous silvery-blonde hair. She was around the same height as herself, now that both of them were standing upright, Amelia noted.

Amelia brushed herself off—although there wasn't any dust on her, she didn't really hit the floor— as the girl talked again. Amelia shrugged and mumbled a quick "dunno", then crouched down next to the girl to gather the books, catching a glimpse of vivid blue in her eyes. "Yeah, I'll be more watchful next time," Amelia replied, smiling politely. "Thanks, again."

Amelia received the books back from the blue eyed girl and started piling them again, unsure where to leave them, as a redheaded girl approached them and started apologizing. Seemed like the pile had belonged to her.

Amelia stood up with half the books in an organized pile on the floor, and some in her hands. So that's who had left the books here. "It's fine." she muttered in a distant tone. She pressed her lips together as her eyebrows came slightly downwards. She'd almost fallen! The more she thought about it, the more upset she felt. "Just watch your stuff, eh?"
