Did You Hear Something?
Annie sat straight up in her bed, beads of sweat dripping down her forehead. Another nightmare.. She looked at her small clock on her bedside stand and it was a little past midnight. Her chest finally regained it's normal pace and she let out a sigh, realizing she wouldn't be able to go back to sleep tonight. The girl sat up in her dress robe, slipped on her slippers and grabbed her wand before exiting her dorm room. Annie glanced around the common room, seeing no one in it but it was left a mess from those who had been in here before. She slipped out of the portrait hole as the fireplace crackled.People Included: @Rosalyn Mairead
The Hufflepuff entered the corridors and felt the chilly air of the big hallways. She tightened her robe around her and gripped her wand with a strong force. Why am I doing this? I know I can't go back to sleep but really, wandering in the middle of the night was my next option, am I crazy?" Annie thought to herself before continuing down the hallway. The torches on the walls on either sides of her reflected an eerie light and casted shadows on the floor.
Her breath sharpened and her heart stopped when she thought she heard a noise only to assume it was a ghost. Annie continued to walk only to hear the noise again, it sounded almost like a rattling of suit armor but it seemed distant. She narrowed her eyes, suspicious and called out. "Is there anyone there? If it's a ghost I'm just passing through." Annie pulled out her wand and murmured the word Lumos before a small light glowed from the tip of her wand. She mentally cursed when she realized it could be a prefect exploring the hallways at night or even worse, a professor. The girl held her breath as she turned her wand into the darkest corners trying to see if she could spot anyone or anything moving or making the weird noise she thought she had heard.

Did You Hear Something?
It had just become time for Rosalyn to take her usual night stroll. At this point, she was used to sneaking out at night and knew the exact patrol pattern at night. She got out of her bed and put on her black cloak over the clothes she was wearing and snuck out of her dorm. Most of the kids in Ravenclaw were good students, or at least they attempted to appear as such, so they would always be asleep come curfew. Rosalyn would then walk down the long flight of stairs down to the hallway.
As she walked around she heard the usual noises from the ghosts and occasionally any teachers who had happened to be up late. None of it really bothered her, she would just continue to walk alongside the walls of the hallway towards the exit to the grounds. However, she could hear something, no, someone in the opposite direction. She got down in a crouched position and used the darkness to help cover herself up. However, she soon saw a light in the same direction and her heart stopped. Rosalyn assumed a prefect had noticed her and she had two choices: attempt to run away but that would make her easy to spot and the other prefects would be alerted, or she sit and wait patiently.
Rosalyn figured the best choice would be to run but before she ran, she turned to look back one more time. "If it were a prefect, the light should be getting brighter because they would be walking over here." she thought. Rosalyn decided to sit and wait now, and carefully watched the corner of the hallway for any movement. Her eyes were so strong it was as if she was staring straight into the soul of any living being in the vicinity and burning it alive.

Annie turned a dark corner as she heard a noise and saw a dark cloaked figure that looked like it was hiding from her. She got quite the scare and jumped when she found out it was another student with a rather odd appearance when her light shown close to the corner. "And I thought I ran into a prefect or a professor, you still scared me all the same though." The girl was rather good at hiding her facial expressions but her heart's rapid beats said otherwise.Interactions With: @Rosalyn Mairead
Annie lowered her light after a moment, realizing she had been staring at the other student, a girl from the looks of it. "Ah sorry, hope I didn't blind you, I mean it's not that bright but it is fairly dark.." She began to ramble off some nonsense before pausing. "My name's Annie Morgan, I'm a second year Hufflepuff and I frankly can't sleep, and you?" The Hufflepuff wondered if the girl was out for the same reason or if she was a Slytherin or Gryffindor and was just sneaking around at night. She looked fairly young maybe her age or even a first year?
Annie shrugged the thought off and debated what she should do next. Another strange noise sounded farther down the hallway. "So you weren't making those weird noises, how strange.. If it's a ghost I swear.." She mumbled and glanced in the general direction she heard the noise before returning her gaze to the girl sitting in the corner, her blue eye sparkling with curiosity.

Rosalyn watched as the figure seemed to be getting closer to her position; she gripped her wand, getting ready to cast the spell in case it was a threat. However, it appeared to just be another student, and by the manner in which the girl walked, Rosalyn was able to tell that they were not a prefect. After Annie introduced herself, Rosalyn would do the same "Rosalyn Mairead, first year Ravenclaw." Her voice was monotone as always, her face with the same blank expression.
Another noise came from the hallway, and something about it was off. Chills ran down Rosalyn's back and her mind raced to come up with a solution. However, she took notice on Annie's spell still being active, and then she started to speak. Rosalyn would immediately tackle Annie mid-sentence and disarm her, ending the Lumos spell. At this point, Rosalyn was on top of Annie, and she was scared that Annie would scream or start fighting back. So, Rosalyn held both of Annie's hands down and immediately kissed her to prevent her from screaming. She could only hope that Annie would catch on and not create a loud commotion, drawing in the attention of whatever was nearby.

Before Annie could ponder on what the noise could be she got tackled by the girl, Rosalyn was her name. "What the mmf-!" She quickly got shut up when the girl pressed her lips in a kiss against Annie's mouth. At that moment the girl froze, not knowing what else to do. The Hufflepuff quickly recovered and rolled the other girl onto her back before getting up.Interactions: @Rosalyn Mairead
Annie turned with a glare in the girl's direction. She didn't dare say anything but the anger came off in waves and was directed towards the girl. The Hufflepuff didn't have time to reflect on the Ravenclaw girl stealing her first kiss or tackling her. She grabbed her wand up off the ground, inspecting it for cracks and was relived to find one. Annie took a deep breath and offered her hand to Rosalyn on the ground, to pull her up. "I shouldn't have gone out of my dorm, holy Hufflepuff why did I do that, why did you silence me!?"
She hissed, turning to face the girl. "So what the castle makes weird noises, this is against all rules, and you a Ravenclaw and a first year, you should know better than to wander at nights!" Annie marched up to the girl and grabbed the hem of the girl's cloak, tightening it in her fist in anger.
She puffed up her cheeks as if she were going to say something before biting her lip. "You stole my first kiss you know, and I know I shouldn't be thinking about this but it bothers me, I hardly know you and this was not the situation I was thinking of." The Hufflepuff blushed furiously. "B-But it's not because your a girl, that's fine with me, I just fantasized something different but things happen I guess.." "Stop talking brain, you idiot!" Annie cursed at herself once more. She realized they were both standing alone in the dark hallway and it was very silent which made the young witch unnerved.

Rosalyn would be caught off guard when rolled onto her back and she bit her lip as it happened; it would bleed slightly. When the girl offered her hand, Rosalyn was a bit hesitant but took it anyway and got up off the ground. She started to panic once Annie began to yell, and she would try and tell her to quiet down but she would get cut off every time. When Annie grabbed Rosalyn's cloak, Rosalyn's mind instantly jumped to self-defense. She immediately reached for Annie's right hand to break her wrist so she would be forced to let go, but she stopped midway. Rosalyn didn't sense violence from her, mostly childish anger, and it was due to her puffed up baby cheeks.
However, the noises Rosalyn heard before were getting closer, and she was able to tell what was coming: a prefect. It was pitch black in the hallway, so she took her chances. She turned her head towards Annie and whispered "Quiet noisy" with the same tone as before.

Annie narrowed her eyes when Rosalyn told her to be quiet. She didn't like how Rosalyn had watched her when she had lost her cool. Knowing she wouldn't get any answers from her she decided to comply with the other girl's wishes. They both stood there silently, listening to the noise, which sounded more human like the closer it got. Her blood ran cold and she tensed up next to Rosalyn, nervously.
After awhile of waiting Annie shifted her weight so her foot wouldn't fall asleep. She tapped the Ravenclaw on the shoulder and sighed, impatiently. "Rosalyn should we take our chances and run?" She whispered to the other girl. "I'd rather go back to my common room and maybe if I'm lucky get some sleep. No offense to you I'd just rather not be caught with a student past hours and have to end up doing detention with you."
Annie mumbled and met the other girl's gaze. She looked into her, interestingly enough, red eyes and got lost in thought. Her mind wandered to the kiss they had shared. "Was it purely to shut me up or did she feel something..? Probably not, for a Ravenclaw she has a heart of stone.." The Hufflepuff shook her head and realized she had been staring. Her mouth sealed into a tight line before turning away from her and focusing on not getting caught. Annie looked around the corner where the noise had come and saw an empty classroom. If they couldn't run maybe they could hide..
