didn't realize this was a thing until now oops

school has done me in and i've got like fifteen events/deadlines coming up within the next two weeks. will hopefully still be slightly alive and active but otherwise, replies won't be coming until i get past this chaos (sorry all that i owe a reply to!!)

I'm kind of slowing down on Hogwarts as anyone in rps with me knows. I'm still happy and active in OOC things but the role-plays are... hard. I still love this site and plan on staying on, but for the time being (until I get caught up on homework, contests, and other responsibilities) I will be limiting my activity on hogwarts to duels, clubs, and my shop. I DO PLAN ON REJOINING ALL OTHER ASPECTS OF HOGWARTS IN THE FUTURE. This is not forever. In fact, it could just be a couple weeks. I just want to focus on the rest of my life right now.

I apologize for posting again here, but I am really struggling to stay on top of everything irl, not to mention how behind I am with replies. I am really sorry, I know how much some people hate to wait, but I want to give you something reasonable to work with.
Just a note: I will be prioritizing the Valentines Day Event (wait probably 3-5 days), my shop (so sorry Tracy, I’ll try and finish within 3 days) Hufflepuff event (sorry again for the wait but 5-7 days?) and sports. If you have any need pls owl me!

Quick warning for everyone I will not be active this weekend or next week due to the fact I will be visiting my family for spring break, so if you are currently waiting on a order or a reply just know that, I will be able to drop in probably to just see do a routine check but I will not be doing big orders most likely. Due to unforeseen and major IRL changes and, to be entirely truthful, a sore and enduring lack of inspiration, I am for the time being putting my character on hold. This means that I will not start any new threads and will also, regrettably, not be able to finish any existing threads.

I am not sure if and when I will return, but after sitting on the fence for weeks now, I've decided that I don't want to throw out the baby with the bathwater just yet - so I'm keeping Finnegan's account around and not deactivating. There's always a chance, though I don't see it happening anytime soon, that I might pick the character back up and I want to leave the door open for that possibility.

In an ideal world I'd leave everyone with some details about how existing threads might be wrapped up. I've been trying to find the time for that these past few days, but that's just been delaying this notification. So instead, I will just grant sweeping godmoding permission to all of the tagged persons. If you are in a thread with Finnegan or in a storyline, you have permission to:

• Write (about) Finnegan as though he is a dNPC.
• You may claim Finnegan said or did certain things if needed in order to resolve your own storylines, within reason. Most of you I've written with before and likely have a rough sense of what Finnegan might say or do. "Within reason" means that you do not make claims about actions that would lead to or imply incapacitation, serious harm, or otherwise have a major impact on the character. That said, I've never felt particularly strongly about godmoding, so you all have fairly broad and sweeping permission to fill in the gaps where needed.
• This applies for the timeline up to February 2025. Please do not make claims about Finnegan beyond February. I'm setting that as the cut off point in case I will return to the character at a later date.

I will finish Quidditch posts within the ongoing game, but leave the team after this game. I've already notified Pax of this a while back.
