It was there, its face in front of her baring its fangs. It coiled around her, ready to squeeze her tight. She couldn't breathe but not because of the Ashwinder but rather because of her internal panicking. She tried to move and she managed to make small ones as Zach's spell was slowly coming to an end but that'd be too late. The Ashwinder would be strangling her by that point. Lucky for her, Alyssea was quick to think of a solution, a way to save her in that time of peril.

In an instant, there was no snake, nothing around her as it was reduced into a tiny worm-like state. Once the spell ended, the Gryffindor gasped for air before letting out a chuckle. Cold sweat ran down from her temple while she caught her breath. “I thought I was gonna die…” Raizel muttered before straightening her posture. That was an awful performance on her part, one more thing to add to her countless failures that she’ll be dealing with later after they are safe and out of this burning cabin.

Smoke, fire, this was triggering a buried memory, one that Raizel thought she had gotten over but found out it still had a lingering effect. Her grip tightened around her wand, trying to prevent them from shaking too much, coughing due to the smoke before covering her mouth and nose. “What luck. Okay, let me give it a shot.” This was the only way they could get an egg. They couldn’t linger for too long, the whole cabin would collapse on them if they did and the heat was intensifying. They’ll end up getting cooked alive.

Zach was frozen. He didn't move even a bit. He wasn't even the one who was affected by his targeting failure. His eyes widened at Raizel. He felt bad, awful. His mind was busy with overthinking and blaming himself. How could he fail his targeting? Was it because he didn't practice duelling anymore? Was he too focused on healing magic? All of that thoughts filled his head and didn't leave any space for logical thinking even a bit. His self-esteem was going down. He blamed himself.

He was staying frozen like that until he saw something dancing in front of his eyes. The flame. Zach took a deep breath, coming back from his deep thought to the reality. He couldn't stay frozen like that. He must not. His skin already felt the hotness of the flame. "Sorry!" He exclaimed. "I'm really sorry." He looked at Raizel who could move now, and Alyssea that was able to cast her spells. He tried to think fast despite how empty his head was at the moment, and he followed the girls. Seeing both of them casting something, Zach decided that he must do the same. He also took out his wand and to cast a spell. "Accio Ashwinder Eggs!" He shouted out loud.
