Slytherin Match 1 Edric & Glen vs. Koko & Luna

Edric landed back on his feet more or less gracefully just in time, as the smoke began to clear out. Now he was able to see their opponents again, which however also meant they could see him again. He wasn't so sure if that was a good thing. One of the two girls - the not creepy-pretty one - really really wanted to set him on fire, or burn him to crisps, or whatever. It scared him. Heck, those girls scared him, period.

For a moment he considered casting another Smokescreen Spell but in the end what good would that do them? Glen was coughing already from that curse that had hit him, and Edric himself was worse for wear as well.

They wouldn't be able to stall indefinitely, so he might as well attack. Right?

He mustered the tiny bit of courage he possessed - and really, when had that happened? - and lifted his wand, pointing it at the one girl who wanted to fry him.

"Flipendo!"

Luna's wand lit up red for a while, but it only whizzed out with nothing to show as her spell failed. Glen wanted to disarm Koko as a wand was obviously too dangerous to be in her hand. The moment he met her eyes, though, and seeing the way her blonde hair fluttered, he could feel his determination weakened. He slightly hesitated to even aim at her, but he managed to control himself and attack. Scarlet light flew from the tip of his wand, but missed the pretty Slytherin. Fiuh.

Almost at the same time, Koko also cast her spell. He aimed at Edric again. But her aim was slightly off and the spell just passed by harmlessly. Edric Banes was more determined this time and he aimed back at Luna. He cast the Knockback Jinx and blue light quickly flew from his wand. It landed squarely on Luna's stomach. With an oomph, Luna was lifted from the ground and thrown backwards. Her back would land on the floor with her breath knocked out of the girl's lungs.

Magic had gone flying in different directions, startling Koko. She was confused for a moment, but then she noticed that her teammate had gone flying backward. Words escaped her lips before she was sure what she was saying. "Are you all right!?" Koko whisper-yelled, her eyes widening as she stared at Luna. Was the other girl going to be okay? She had landed pretty hard. Still, Koko couldn't worry about the other girl. She could take care of herself. She'd be fine.

Koko glared at Edric, her gaze turning into daggers. She could avenge the other girl... Maybe... But she had a year's less experience than her opponents, and that wasn't going to help her at all. She needed to manage to disable at least one of them - and Glen wasn't looking too good. His accuracy would probably only get worse. Koko had her work cut out for her there, so she would instead aim at Edric. She raised her arm, pointing her wand at him, and smiled sweetly. "Spongify." She waved her wand, hoping that the spell would work and she wouldn't share her partner's fate, and she also prayed that no one would try and kill her yet. She could do this.

Luna knew her health was not bad. However, it didn't mean she wouldn't feel hurt after being knocked out like that.

It. Hurt. So. Bad.

Though, that did not mean she would scream out loud and started crying like a baby. The girl slowly stood up, gave Edric a look as if she wanted to tear him apart. But obviously, she wouldn't do that. She was not an idiot, being angry right now wouldn't do anything.

If there was something that surprised her, that would be Kokonut being worried about her. Wasn't that girl scared of her? Maybe she just didn't want to lose, that would make a lot of sense.

Calming herself down and focusing on the battle again, the girl aimed at Edric. No no, if she just kept trying to burn Edric, that would be boring. She should try another spell... "Mucus ad Nauseam"

Action: Casts Curse of the Bogies on Edric

As the girls – Achoo – turned their wands on his partner, Glen narrowed his eyes. This continuous sneezing was really annoying, it was beginning to make his eyes water and therefore messed with his vision. But he would not let that and the beginning headache distract him from the mission at hand: attack back.

For some reason he felt slightly reluctant to attack Koko again after his last attempt, so after a quick worried look at Edric he turned and pointed his wand back at Luna – Achoo! – to try and set the possible pyromaniac on fire: "Incendio (Duo)," as that was one of the more powerful spells he knew and he was well aware that he was on a timer now. Besides, she seemed to like that spell, so he figured it was only fair.

For a moment Edric was elated. He'd hit! His Knockback Spell had actually knocked the girl on her ass and felt triumphant as he watched the spell take effect. He could fight back too, he wouldn't just take it and roll on his-

Why were looking at him. Why were both those evil girls looking at him? He gulped. As suddenly as it had come all the temporary bravery left Edric. He didn't want to be at the end of wands again - his immediate reflex was to dodge, but Glen was sneezing badly. If it come down to a two on one they'd definitely lose the duel, Edric knew that.

Amber eyes watched as his friend raised his wand and cast a fire spell at the fire girl. Glen must know what he was doing - Edric would have never thought of casting fire at other people on his own - and so he did what he was best at: follow other people's lead.

He lifted his wand and aimed, yelling "Incendio (Duo)!"

Four spells flew on the podium again. Three green and one purple light appeared before moving towards each other. Both Koko Riddle and Luna Choi aimed at Edric, but only the later managed to hit him. The purple light of the Curse of the Bogies squarely hit the boy in the chest. And he was now also contracted with a terrible cold, just like his partner. Not before he flung a spell of his own, though.

The boys were not idle. Both of them cast the more powerful version of the fire-making spell on Luna Choi. Two jet of flame went at her. She managed to evade one of them. But unfortunately, with a loud bang, the other one hit her. She was again tossed backwards, still burning. The flame was so powerful, almost all her robe was caught on fire. Ouch. Things were not looking great for her.

Achoo! This was really starting to be a pain. He was done with strategizing or trying to keep with the plan (not that their plan was meant to last through the whole duel, plans never survive first contact (by much) so...) He was going to keep attacking Luna. Do as much damage as he could in the time he had left before he'd be collapsing from that damned curse in the vague hope that she'd go down first. (She was a girl, he doubted it.)

So, keeping his wand on Luna – Achoo! – Glen quickly flipped through the spells in his head. He'd cast Incendio Duo twice and missed, so maybe it was time for another spell... Coming to a decision, he exclaimed: "Flipendo!"

Koko was really beginning to worry about Fridge. Sure, the other girl was scary and probably really tough, but just how much could she endure? Koko was very, very tempted to fire an Extinguo at her, but she changed her mind as she realised that that could cost her a spell. Being nice had cost her a lot before, so she didn't usually do it anymore. She was too scared to.

Koko let out a breath as she pointed her wand at nothing in particular. She knew that this could mess her up as well, but she didn't care. It would help Fridge get back to where she needed to be, and it would let Koko relax for a moment. "Fumos."

Edric was at the same time elated and terrified when he saw his fire spell it his opponent. He'd meant to hit her of course, wanting something and seen the consequences of one's action weren't the same. Is Incendio Duo Spell had been powerful, some of the girl's clothes had been set ablaze even. How had he done that? What if she would be seriously hurt form the fire? Was it really okay to set another student on fire?

He was so perplexed that he barely registered how the Curse of the Bogies hit him square in the chest. It didn't technically hurt even, just left a feeling behind as if he'd been getting a cold for days now and it was finally starting to fully emerge. His throat hurt suddenly and he didn't feel so well anymore in general.

Glen was sniffing beside him, so the Slytherin boy had a good idea of what was to come. If they wanted to win they would have to it soon. He wasn't ruthless enough to cast a fire spell again, especially after how scared he still was from the consequences of the first, but Edric raised his wand to attack nonetheless.

"Rictusempra!"
