❂ ⌜ Valentine's Day Event: Happy Place ⌟ ❂
❂ February 12, 2025 ▎ Evening ❂▪ ◚ ◚ ◚ ❂ ◚ ◚ ◚ ▪Beauxbaton Academy, renowned for its rich history and unique architecture, resting among the snowy peaks of the southern mountains of France. A chance was given to every student from different wizarding schools, a chance to visit such a magnificent place and one that most of them weren't willing to pass. Raizel, however, wasn't one of those. She was the type of person who could care less about such opportunities but after she wrote that in her owl to her parents, she had gotten a good scolding from her mother.
Her reasons were: She was wasting it. Such an opportunity shouldn't be taken lightly for they don't occur all the time. Her mother had a point though. She did not want Raizel to miss out on this, to let her stay at Hogwarts when she finally had a chance to experience magic beyond those castle walls. And besides, it would be good for her own health, noticing how exhausted she was after she went home for the holidays. A break, something that Raizel refuses to acknowledge due to her own circumstances but one that she badly needs to clear her mind for a while, to stop her reckless habits, to finally slow down just for a while. Duelling Co-captain and now, Prefect, titles that she wasn't expecting to get now rests on her shoulders, feeling the pressure of both. Whether she was as worthy as what those who chose her think of her remains unseen just yet so she wants to let them know that she's working hard for them.
But of course, it was not a method that most people approved of, especially when she had ended up in the hospital wing after getting sick when she had pushed herself too much. A sense of guilt had washed over her just by remembering that. She had made people worry, her friends and now and her family. It was best for her to take it easy for a while as to stop them from doing so. And that is how she ended up in front of the rustic cabin that she was assigned to. The names of the people accompanying her had never lingered for too long in that mind of hers but that time was different. There were names on the list that were familiar in their own way although she would need to remember why they were. Atlas was one of those names. She had met him before. Moderated a duel and due to circumstances, they needed to end it early with the boy panicking upon seeing a person fall unconscious. She had to help him carry that person to the hospital wing after. Quite an experience if you asked her.
Upon entering, she was met by the sound of soft pattering of the rain outside which was a surprise. The view beyond the windows was that of a forest, making her whistle out of fascination. Magic sure was fantastic, no wonder she loves it. This scene reminded her of the first time she had seen magic, how it sparked joy and interests, of how she told her father that she was excited to learn more about it after getting her Hogwarts letter. If only magic loved her back though. As far as she knew, despite being ‘gifted’ for it due to how easily she picked up Charms spell, she was yet to see her skills for it.
The cozy scenery and magic in the atmosphere aside, the cabin had a simple yet comforting vibes, enough for Raizel to feel at home. Come to think of it, it did remind her of home. All it needed now was her mother’s garden, the grassy plains and the forest that provided cover. Despite her father coming from an old Pureblood family who had wealth to spare, he chose a simple home, not a manor. Speaking of manor, didn’t they have a family manor? Not like she had ever been to it. She’d rather not visit it actually. She knows some people aren’t that welcoming for a Half-blood like her.
By the window, a girl stood. One of her cabin mates obviously. Why would she even be here if she wasn’t? She was somewhat unfamiliar but at the same time, she felt like she had seen her before. Digging deeper into that poor memory bank of hers, she found a match. It was from a long time ago, surprised she could even remember it. Raizel wasn’t the best at remembering names and faces but this girl had somehow found herself stored within the Gryffindor’s memory. It was the girl who had helped Zach when he almost drowned when the Nurse decided to teach the students how to swim, following the incident where people fell into the lake and almost drowned.
One step, and then another. While the footsteps were already muffled by the rug laid on the floor, she was careful not making too much noise as she went to settle her things near one of the bunk beds that were still free. With only her and the girl inside, she assumed that the others were still on their way to the cabin. This peace and quiet won’t last for too long then and before that happens, she will enjoy it for the time being.▪ ▫ ◙ 883/200 ◙ ▫ ▪

Outfit: Black cloak. Black suit, white shirt with a Slytherin green tie.
The high of the welcoming tea party was quickly wearing off as Harvey made his way towards his assigned cabin. What was it with these schools and constantly forcing them into a group setting?! What the boy wouldn't do for a private room! Team building, socializing, networking...blah, blah, blah. He rolled his eyes at the imaginary adult telling him about all the benefits of never having a moment of privacy. Harvey sighed and attempted to shake off the frustration. At least some of the names he would be sharing the space with seemed promising. It would be good to reacquaint himself with Raizel and the other two were Slytherins, one a former prefect if memory served him correctly and the other he knew from his house's Quidditch roster. Hopefully the chance to meet them both would prove to be beneficial connections.
However, Harvey's mood wouldn't brighten as he found the assigned cabin. For whatever reason he had not pictured an actual cabin. As in a wooden structure that screamed a word he loathed...rustic. How anyone found charm is shabbiness was far beyond his understanding. What he wouldn't give for just a night back home in the London townhouse. The clean aesthetics and high end furniture called to him daily and even now he was sent out into a cabin on the grounds when a beautiful chateau was right there. Was this some other character building nonsense? Yet perhaps all was not as it seemed when his abnormally large hand turned the handle and he made his entrance.
The view was something he could take or leave. The Pyrenees were right outside, but somehow a foggy stretch of woods seemed more appropriate? The pitter patter of rain on what he could only imagine was a tin roof seemed unnecessary. They went to school in the Scottish Highlands. How about a bit of sunshine for Merlin's sake! Another deep breath was required as he continued to take it all in. Besides cursing whoever decided bunkbeds was a great choice, the furniture at least seemed adequate. "Hello there." Harvey made his presence known to the other two already there.
"Raizel, pleasure to see you again." He offered a courteous nod towards the Gryffindor before setting his bag down by one of the lower beds and removing his cloak. The boy continued to stroll about as he made his way towards the other student. One of his large index fingers swiped at the back of the sofa before he rubbed it together with his thumb...at least the place was properly dusted. "Hello. Harvey Barrows. Remedy Norden, if I'm not mistaken? I recognize you from the Quidditch games." He explained why he was familiar with her name, but then his beady, little eyes would fall to the glass in her hand. A bottle of Firewhiskey sat nearby. When his gaze returned to her his expression would be anything other than impressed, but he held his hand out for a proper greeting nonetheless.

It's time—time to visit one of the magical schools... Atlas was not transferring, but it was the time for schools too visit one another and it seemed like destiny let to Beauxbatons. The young Slytherin would meet amazing people and form relationships with them—Hogwarts, of course, still being the most well-known. But the young Slytherin had read about the schools before, and they all had one thing in prevalent: their past was significant and valuable.
France and Beauxbatons was intriguing country; the school was located in the Pyrenees, and guests talk about how breathtakingly beautiful a chateau with formal gardens and lawns that were magically formed out of the rugged terrain is. Speaking of France, the predominant language was French, and all of the students had hilarious accents. Nevertheless, the young Anderson tried it a few times when he was by himself and nobody else was around, and he would inadvertently bite his tongue. However, he was so diverse in his writing that he would consider himself an intermediate writer because he could write a bit of French.
The cabin had a simple aesthetic and was the one Atlas loved. When he was at the muggle world, Atlas would beg his parents to decorate the room the way the cabin was set up, but they were actually reluctant. Although this cabin is unquestionably grand, the style of his dorm was quite slytherin and gloomy, and even the well-known dark wizards came from the house, which explains the aesthetic.
As soon Atlas entered the cabin, he felt the fatigue on his muscles from heaving his heavy luggage. He rushed inside the cabin and as he did, he stumbled forward as his foot was suddenly seized by an uneven floorboard. For a brief moment he believed that he would fall and that the luggage would pull him down as he turned over. However, he quickly adjusted and skillfully shifted his weight to get his equilibrium again—his heart raced, feeling a rush of adrenaline. Atlas had almost fallen during that near-miss, but he had overcome gravity's hold. "Son of a buscuits... take that you numb skull gravity!!!" he tormented as he survived the fall.
But...
He was unaware that there were other people in the room, and when he realized, he froze as turned to face them, and tried to ignore the awkwardness. He laughed stiffly, expecting the ground would split up and engulf him. "Hi, Oopsie, I nearly fell," he said. "I think I'll just..." seemed like a cat caught his tongue "I mean, Hi, I am Alas, I mean Atlas," this was a humiliating and awkward moment. At first glance, he appears to be clumsy and possibly foolish, but as soon as he saw Remedy's face, he relaxed and was still embarrassed by their prior interaction.

❂ ⌜ Valentine's Day Event: Happy Place ⌟ ❂
❂ February 12, 2025 ▎ Evening ❂▪ ◚ ◚ ◚ ❂ ◚ ◚ ◚ ▪
Once a room filled with nothing but peace and serenity had slowly been filled with different sounds and presence. The others had arrived and Raizel had to mentally prepare herself for what's to come, especially the company that she will be sharing the space with. Again, she was glad that almost everyone was a familiar face, people that she had at least seen once or even twice around Hogwarts. Remedy Norden, a name that she will try to keep in mind for future interactions which shouldn't be hard considering how the first time she had seen her had already made an impact. Was it her grace? Or perhaps her name that somehow screams power? Maybe it was the beauty that she carried or that presence of a refined lady? In truth, it was all of those. Her polite nod was reciprocated by a soft smile. While she would've taken that chance to introduce herself, her attention was divided.
There was the almost fall of Atlas Anderson upon his arrival. He saved himself, luckily enough, stopping him from giving the floor or the carpet a good kiss that people who had participated in this event to celebrate the month of love would be jealous of. That was an exaggeration on her part but who knows. Harvey Barrows’ greetings to her was met by a courteous nod to return the friendly gesture. Her father's lesson of how to carry herself around prestigious looking people will come in handy. “It has been a while, hasn't it, Harvey.” The last time she saw him was… actually, when was it? She couldn't tell. She couldn't even remember if she had seen him in the Hallways the previous days. Eventually, she shrugged it off. “Hope you are doing well.”
Almost everyone here has the presence of a distinguished family, almost suffocating for someone that wasn't used to such an environment. Too stiff, even too formal. Thank Merlin for Atlas’ presence that somehow makes this more tolerable. While equipped to deal with this kind of vibe, Raizel would still find it exhausting, maybe feel a bit out of place? No, she shouldn't think about it that way even if she might think she doesn't fit in this crowd. Just have to carry herself and blend in. Aside from Atlas though, there was another who had managed to diffuse a bit of that suffocating air at the expense of Remedy's mood. Who could blame the girl though. Who wouldn't be annoyed if a random guy showed up and chugged down your drink without a care in the world
Truth or Dare was a game that Raizel doesn't like that much. She couldn't understand what was so exciting about it or why others love to play that game so bad. Couldn't they pick another game? Maybe do Quaffle grabs instead or do a lap around on their broom. But she supposed if she wanted to get along well with the people in her cabin, she needed to play along. “I don't mind playing it.” She regretted saying that immediately, punching herself in her mind, thinking that it was stupid to agree to play that game. “Raizel Voltrouz, figured I could at least introduce myself just in case it was needed.”▪ ▫ ◙ 541/200 ◙ ▫ ▪

"I am well, Raizel, thank you. I like your outfit, very sporty." It was not a style Harvey would ever wear as only his most intimate friends would see him in casual clothing, but she pulled it off well. A sense of fashion was something the boy could appreciate.
Though his expression was slightly disapproving of the alcoholic drink In Remedy's hands, Harvey quickly shifted to his most polite smile as he realized he was introducing himself to someone with a prestigious surname. "The pleasure is all mine." However, before the greeting could go further another presence would almost come crashing onto the scene. His beady, black eyes shifted towards Atlas. Son of a biscuits??...Harvey's brow rose as his gaze shifted to some serious side eye. "Walk much?" The part-goblin whispered only to himself before he spoke up further. "Harvey Barrows." His introduction was made
in a tone that dripped in disapproval, but he quickly cleared his throat a took a lighter tone. "Nice to meet you."
Harvey really needed to keep his mood in check. The boy could hear his grandfather's scoldings as if he were here in the room. Make your judgments, but save them until one has truly proven themself unworthy. The only judgment he held for the next boy to enter was tall. Alphonse was the walking embodiment of physicality. Broad shoulders, towering height, and a mug that surely made girls forget their names. A handsome knight that would look quite well at Harvey's round table, but looks can be deceiving. "I am well, thank you." The goblin's practiced smile faltered and then fell as this beautiful giant grabbed a bottle and began to pour it in his mouth like some drunken sailor! "Care for a glass?" Harvey's beady eyes bounced between Alphonse and the room as an incredulous smile returned to his face. "London." He answered with a huff. "What barn did you crawl out of?" His insult was again barely above a murmur. Harvey was a snob, but not stupid enough to challenge someone like that openly.
The boy blinked away the frustration has his attention returned to Remedy and Raizel. Truth and dare was the game presented to the group and Harvey secretly hoped the others would shoot it down. However, it seemed everyone was happy to give it a try and he was not going to be the only one to turn it down. "Sure, I'll play."

Atlas had the peculiar of someone who seemed to be at the right place at the wrong time or maybe, the wrong place at the right time. Either way he entered the cabin with a gait of someone who was aware of his surrounding and simultaneously distracted by the thought he had forgotten to finish thinking. His shoes scuffed against the floor as he proceeded to find his bed and in what seemed like seconds, he nearly introduced his forehead to the edge of a bunk bed post, thanks to a poorly placed floorboard. Well, thankfully he recovered and laughed a little. This was indeed embarrassing on so many levels.
From where he stood in the room, the young boy was not imparting any haughtiness or any ice-queen calm that one or two of the others in the cabin most clearly wore as a perfectly tailored cloaks—but he did have some kind of charm that exuded warmth and somehow magnetically attractive. He was lean in the way that suggested athleticism and there was a trace of mischief surrounding the boy, as if he were a half-given riddle. His eyes flecked with gold when the light hit exactly so it flashed quickly around the room and sized up everyone as if taking first impressions to mentally record for future use. The young Slytherin was not a loud one but his vitality had a certain presence. He made people feel like they were part of the moment—like something interesting might happen just because he had walked in.
The boy did not shy away from anyone's glare, but neither did he goad them. He recalled the goofy "tentacle tail" comment from their first encounter but did not want to give it away via his expression. In response to everyone, Raizel got a small supportive thumbs-up when she stumbled on her introduction, and even Harvey's curt tone was waved away with a despreocupado "carefree" nod. And he looked at Alphonse and smiled.
He had the kind of spirit that thrived in chaos, not because he caused it, but because he somehow made sense of it and if he wasn’t there to be the loudest or the best, but he was the kind of boy who others might find themselves leaning toward and the firewhiskey would make everything feel just a bit more honest. "Seems interesting, sure!" he smiled widely.

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────There was an ache where a small bump lingered on the back of Alphonse's skull from his fall in the Beauxbatons' Dining Chamber, and along with it, a raging headache that the Toussaint boy refused to treat due to some residual frustration from the headmasters' collaborative scheme with Amortentia at the Tea party earlier that afternoon. If it wasn't for the lipstick-stamped and initial-embroidered handkerchief left behind by the beautiful Beauxbatons-native Geneviève, his already-soured mood would spoil everyone's evening.
Courtesy of Geneviève and her compassion, she would be the cabin-dwellers' saving grace even if they had not had the privilege of meeting her yet. He mustered a polite smile despite the viper named Remedy snatching the bottle from his hand, followed by her topping off the amber liquid in her glass, but his eyes and attention landed on the short by massive-handed boy named Harvey who offered a quip of his own.
No stranger to the antagonistic type of individual, in some circumstances, by choice or requirement, posing as the menacing beast himself, Alphonse's charming smile deepened with a playful challenge while closing the distance between himself and Harvey. Hearty laughter sang from his lips as the behemoth boy softly muttered the phrase to himself: "What barn did I crawl out of? That's funny. You're a funny guy."
Smoothly throwing a sculpted arm around his neck, his grasp heavy from his devotion to Quidditch as a former Chaser and current Beater, Alphonse leaned into Harvey's space, close enough to allow his minty-fresh breath to tickle the boy's pointed ear to whisper, "It was your mom's, of course. But I wouldn't mind crawling out of your's too...." he allowed his words seep and settle internally, surely long enough to rattle Harvey and fester in the recesses of his mind, before quickly chiming in with a "Kiddin', I'm kidding."
It was a joke, of course, an impulsive jest to break the tension, but Alphonse wouldn't blame Harvey for his reaction, however it came. With a friendly squeeze of Harvey's shoulder and a playful wink, the boy retracted his sculpted arm, his charming gaze falling upon another stunning brunette who identified herself as Raizel Voltrouz:
"Alphonse Toussaint—I think my mother is a professor for some of you," he introduced, his voice carrying throughout the cabin before nodding as the group collectively agreed to a game, eliciting a genuine smile to play upon his lips. Swaggering towards his trunk nearby one of the bunkbeds to retrieve his enchanted radio and a few extra bottles of Firewhiskey, the eldest Toussaint progeny efficiently carried to load towards the dining table with a loud clank, pressed a button on the device, and rotated the dial to max, allowing music to flood into all corners of the room.
