Just wanted to share a snippet of the great sermon from church tonight.
“In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Philippians 4:6 ASV
This isn’t saying that all your problems will go away, but it’s saying to put it in God’s hands instead of obsessing over something you have no control over. And not everything will go according to your plan, and that’s okay! Just remember that God has a purpose for you and created you in his image

Thank you so much for sharing that!
After all that has happened these past couple of weeks, I really needed to hear that. And I know God is speaking to the hearts of others!

Thanks, Ava. That is my 2nd favorite Bible verse. It has strengthened me in some hard times.Ava Winchect wrote: 20 Feb 2025, 03:30 Just wanted to share a snippet of the great sermon from church tonight.

This is so beautiful. I don't for you but it speaks to me a lot because I'm having a lot of problems at the moment, like I've just lost a friend who was dear to me and it's shattered me, so I really hope that I'll be able to grieve by talking to JesusAva Winchect wrote: 20 Feb 2025, 03:30 Just wanted to share a snippet of the great sermon from church tonight.

Wow, I can't believe this group is here. So happy about it! I posted Bible verses yesterday and hoped it wouldn't be taken the wrong way, it just felt right, and then I discover this group! God is literally working everywhere in my life, I pray for clarify because I don't know what I'm supposed to do with some things, so I'm just trying to listen and wait for his timing. Anyways, I would like to join
I'm a non-denominational Christian, but I was raised Presbyterian. I'm currently learning much more about about having a relationship with God versus I wasn't really raised/taught that way, or at least it didn't get through to me that way.
@Virginia Blankenship I'm sorry for your loss. Matthew 5:4 (NIV) says "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted". I've had losses where I've felt really alone and this just reminds me even when I'm feeling alone, I'm not, because God is with me, and he will comfort me. But it's still hard

I love that this community is becoming more popular! I'm thinking about doing weekly verses for it!
