Cassandra's steps echoed quietly through the hall as she walked, her book back slung over her shoulder. It was the weekend and she wanted to get a little bit of studying in before classes started for the week. Generally, she wouldn't have tried looking for such an out of the way place but she had been feeling like a little time to herself would let her focus and get everything done.

Continuing on, she eventually found a classroom that appeared to be empty. Peeking her head in through the door, she looked around to make sure no one was inside before entering the room. She left the door to the room open slightly and turned towards one of the many empty desks in the room. There were a few seats close to the windows in the room and she figured it would be best to sit near them for a relatively better source of light.

She placed her bag on the desk and carefully began pulling out a few books, a notebook, and a few writing utensils. Looking around the room she noticed it was somewhat cluttered, a number of objects and desks scattered about the room. Had it been any other day she might have let her curiosity get the better of her and just spent the whole time examining the room. She would not let that happen however and quickly turned her attention back to the objects she had laid out across the table.

Pulling the chair from out from the desk she gently sat down and opened her notebook and one of her books. Quill in hand and book in the other she began reading and taking notes, slowly slipping into her own little quiet world as she studied.

Kora didn’t like a lot of noise and it was hard not to be surrounded by it when in the common room or the halls so on this beautiful day she had chosen to find the perfect quiet spot to read and get some writing done. Wandering around was great when you didn’t have to constantly say ‘excuse me oh sorry excuse me’ just to get through hundreds of kids all taller and older and scarier looking, it was a nightmare but slowly she started to look.
After a while Kora was going to give up hope in ever finding a place to write god help her if she spent another day in the library, not that there was anything wrong with that just she needed a change. Door after door after door was locked, full or was to covered by people to get to hope was running out until she saw it a seemingly empty room with the door slightly open, she shoved and pushed until she got to the door finely she had found it.
She stood there for a moment radiating joy before quite slowly she pushed it open to find was it not only already occupied but also perfect. Noooo she thought resisting the temptation to start breaking down and twitching aggressively in frustration This is fine ok this is fine maybe they won’t notice I’m here telling herself that made things better but sadly her intrusive nature to make anything and everything with a new person feel forced she stepped inside and closed the door before she said,

“Hey Um im Kora nice to meet you Um I’m going to uh sit in here if that’s ok with you but I can leave if you want you seem busy enough as it is you probably don’t want me around sorry”

In record time she had already rambled and said Um to many times for anything to have made any sense go Kora.

Some time had passed and Cassandra had been so focused on studying that she hadn't even noticed that someone had entered the room. That was until she heard someone speak and quickly looked up to see a young girl, possibly about her age, ask if she could sit in the room with her. She supposed she shouldn't be surprised that someone else had entered, after all, she had only looked for a quiet place to study because the majority of study areas around the campus were a bit cramped. It made sense that other people would also attempt to find a quieter and emptier place to also study.

From the way the girl spoke, Cassandra figured she was somewhat nervous and figured that she might as well let the girl sit in the room with her. After all, it's not like she owned the room or anything and having one other person near her wasn't exactly going to interrupt her study time. Well, she supposed it could but given how nervous the girl seemed she figured that would not be the case in this situation.

"I'm Cassandra, it's nice to make your acquaintance," she said quietly, figuring she might as well as the girl had introduced herself as Kora. "It's fine if you sit in here, I do not own the room and I know it's sometimes hard to find a quiet place to study and what not."She did her best to give a somewhat friendly smile but quickly dropped it as she wasn't sure if it would actually help put the Kora at ease.

The smile that Cassandra had offerd Kora was a nice one but a moment later she dropped it was it because she was as nervous as Kora was? it was a possabilaty but its one of those things you can only assume from scoial expiriance and that was a thing Kora didnt have. There was a puase before Kora said anything her mind seemed to be throwing things to say like a toddler throwing anything it can reach, finaly she just said whatever came out first

"thats a really pretty name you have and are you sure you dont mind if i sit here? i mean you did find this room first."

Slowly Kora shuffled back maybe if she left before the girl felt like she had to let kora stay it would save them both from the painful situation that had started to bloom in the quiet room. Moments passed and the habbits started to show them selfs as Kora started to tug at her tie that had taken her a while to do this morning, how wonderful for her.

"i mean if you say its ok that i say i should stay right but you dont have to say that just because you feel that you have to"

The blessing of second guessing yourself might acutaly be a blessing right here as Kora burst out the words that hasd been swerling in her mind could it help with this maybe only fate might have other plans.
