9th September, 16.15 after classes
After their reunion this Saturday, Sabrina couldn't wait to see Cassandra again. Their time spend together has been brief and mostly just spent chatting or quietly reading in the Library. But today, they had a picnic planned - a hang out. A proper hang out between friends. She's spent all her Sunday thinking of things they could do, writing them down on seperate pieces of paper. She was so excited she almost tackled one of her hufflepuff classmates when running out of the classroom. She shot them a quick apology with a sheepish smile before stumbling off towards the school grounds.

Out on the fresh air - her cheeks dusted pink from her prior quick pace - she slowed down, taking a deep breath through her nose, corners of her mouth rising into a smile. It was sunny, the chill of the light breeze refreshing, a subtle foreshadowing of what is to come in the Scottish autumn. In motion again, Sabrina hummed a low melody to herself. A handful of toasts and muffins she had wrapped in dish towel at today's breakfast were packed in her shoulder bag, along with a bottle of orange juice - also from today's morning. Reaching the Lake, she sat her bag and self down into the grass, waiting for Cassandra to arrive.

As soon as classes had ended for the day, the small redhead could be found quickly making her way through the crowds of students. Throughout the day, the only thing that had been on her mind was the picnic/tea party she and Sabrina had planned for the day.

The night before she had searched through her trunk to find the picnic blanket her mom had packed for her and had pulled it out so that she wouldn't have to search for it after classes had ended. Quickly making her way through the common room and into her dorm she rushed over and packed her small book bag with a sketchbook and some pens and pencils before grabbing the basically picnic blanket. It was a soft baby blue with small white floral stitching around the border of the blanket, perfect for a tea party for two Ravenclaws.

Grabbing the last few things, she rushed from her dorm and eventually made her way outside towards the lake. The air was cool and the sun was bright in the sky, it was the perfect day for an outdoor event. All she could hope now would be that the weather would hold so that they could stay out for a little while.

Looking around, she eventually spotted her fellow Ravenclaw and waved slightly in her direction, quickly heading towards her. "Hello," she greeted, taking a moment to finally catch her breath, her cheeks a bright pink as in her excitement and rush had somewhat forgotten to breathe properly.

Leaning back on her palms, legs outstreched and tips of her shoes tipped together, Sabrina watched the small waves break against the bank. The quiet, rhytmical splashes managed to somewhat calm her down, her heartbeat slowing down and aligning with them. Soon, the sound of shoes shuffling through the yellowing grass broke the cycle, the Ravenclaw's heart beat picking up once more with it. Smile bright, she pushed herself to roll over on her knees, getting up to her feet at the sound of Cass' voice.

"Hi Cass!" she reciprocated the greeting happily, arms outstreched, folding around the other girl without hesitation."I am so glad to see you again, how have you been?" she said while pulling away. She didn't always hug her friends when meeting with them - case point: their last reunion - but it still came naturally to her, just as other forms of platonic touch or affection. Her eyes slid down to the other girls hands, spotting the blanket. "You brought it! Cool. Here, I'll help you settle it," she nodded towards the fabric, making a grabby hands gesture at it with one hand. It was light blue and looked soft, and to Sabrina, just really like it's owner.

Not expecting the hug, Cassandra was not sure what to do at first as Sabrina hugged her but she quickly hugged back before pulling away. She really wasn't used to other people besides her family hugging her but she supposed that was what friends did. She at least was pretty sure they were friends, she'd like to think they were. "It is good to see you as well, I've been good," she started, handing part of the blanket to Sabrina so that they could spread it out, "how have you been since we last spoke?"

She carefully lifted the two of the sides of the blanket down and laid it on the ground, spreading it out to make sure there were no wrinkles. Looking around, she found two stones and placed them on both corners so that the blanket was weighed down. There was really only a light breeze currently but just in case the wind decided to pick up, she figured it would be better to weigh down the blanket so that it wouldn't blow away and end up in the lake.

Standing back up, she finally took a moment to enjoy the weather. It was a cool day but wasn't cold, and the sun was warm on her face but not hot. "The weather is really nice today, we really lucked out," she said, looking out across the lake that seemed to sparkle underneath the autumn sun."

Gratefully, Brie took the offered corners of the blanket, opening her arms to better stretch it. After taking a few steps backwards for the same reason, she began to lower it down.

"I've been great," she answered with a nod, already taking another breath to fill her friend in on what she's been up to "I found out about this club- it's on mystical creatures. I signed up and there's a meeting in few days, isn't that great?" She smoothed out the now laying blanket, knees dropping down on it. Following her friend's lead, she scooted up two moderately clean looking stones. Checking their weight, she had tossed and caught them a few times before setting them down over the empty edges.

Ploping down properly - her shoes still off the soft surface - she looked up to her friend, squinting a little at the autumn brightness. Her hand hovering over the grass strands nearby she smiled up at her. "Yeah, we really did" she replied simply, reaching back for her bag, snapping it open. "I brought some food from breakfast -" she announced, laying said snacks out on the blanket, using the dish towel as a plate "- feel free to grab whatever. Do you have the activities written down on separate papers? I have some spares in case you don't," Brie switched to the desired topic, smile widening, hand disappearing into her bag again.

This time, she took out a lilac bucket hat with yellow flowered pattern. "We can draw them out from it" she explained while tapping the hats centre to give it some shape, her free hand already searching her robe pockets for her own pieces of paper.

Food, she had completely forgotten to grab anything food related for the tea party. She was incredibly grateful that Sabrina had at least remembered to bring something, after all what was a tea party without refreshments.

"I have my activities all written down already but I appreciate it," Cassandra answered as she carefully sat next to her fellow Ravenclaw, also making sure her shoes were off of the blanket. "I'm glad you remembered to bring refreshments though, it had completely slipped my mind," she told the girl, giving a grateful smile as she turned to open her bag. She pulled out her sketchbook and opened it to the first page where a small pocket in the cover held the small slips of paper she had written her activities down on.

Pulling the small slips out of the pocket she closed her sketchbook and put it back in her bag, turning back towards Sabrina with the slips in her hand. She observed the small lilac hat that the girl procured and put the small slips of paper inside.

"I'm not sure the activities that I chose are the most exciting but I hope they will at least be somewhat fun," she professed, leaning back slightly on her palms as she waited for Sabrina to find what she was looking for. Admittedly, after the third activity she had somewhat ran out of ideas but she hoped that what she had written would work.

Momenterily she turned her back to the other Raven, attempting to kick her shoes off without using her hands. "Yeah well-" she chuckled over her shoulder, scooting fully onto the blanket and turning to Cass again, her footwear discarded on the grass now.

"I am glad you're glad. Also, we're in the sretched out period between lunch and dinner when I always get peckish, so cheers for giving me a reason to steal that" she joked, reaching for what she supposed was a chocolate muffin and taking a bite "mhm, blueberry" she mumbled with her mouth still full, almost as if answering a silent question to herself.

She swatted her hand at her friend's doubts, setting her half-eaten muffin down for now "Nah, don't say that. I am sure they'll be fun to do." she proclaimed, nudging the bucket hat a little closer to the redhead. The familiar bookbind of Cass' sketchbook caught her attention and she briefly wondered if the girl has added more sketches. Adding her own folded pieces of paper, Sabrina wrapped the hat's top together, holding it closed witg her hand in a way that wouldn't crumble the paper but encloset the space before shaking it, mixing them together.

Opening it again, she held it up to Cassandra. "Here, you can draw first."

I've written down 7 activities, numbering them 1-7. You can add however much you want and then use a random generator to pick one. Just let me know how many you added in your next post so I'd know what limit to set

Following Sabrina's lead, she began to carefully take off her own shoes and carefully sat them next to the picnic blanket. Crossing her legs, she turned back to see her fellow Ravenclaw had already taken a bite of one of the muffins. She wasn't very hungry yet so she figured she would hold off before she ate one.

She watched as Sabrina added her own pieces of paper to the hat and watched as she shook them, the hat then being offered to her. She reached in the hat and closed her eyes, moving her hand around before finally taking one out. She had only put in five slips of paper so there was a good chance she might pick one of the activities she had chosen. Although, she had had a sudden thought that it was possible that the two of them could have written down the same activity at some point so they might have doubled up on one without realizing it.

"Here, why don't we both read it," she said quietly, scooting closer to Sabrina so they could both look at the paper. "One, two, three," she counted before opening the small slip of paper to reveal the first activity that they would be doing.

I randomized to number seven so if you want, 8-12 can be mine and 1-7 can be yours.

Lowering the bucket hat a little, Sabrina bowed her head to peek in and see which paper her friend picked out, as if it mattered. Setting the hat aside, she shifted to sit shoulder to shoulder with Cass, watching the paper over her shoulder.

The short countdown enhanced the anticipation subconciously making Sabrina lean in a little when the paper was unfolded.

On it were a few words written in a rounded cursive writing, which Sabrina immediately recognized as her own. It read:
Make flower crowns
"That one's mine" Sabrina voiced the obvious sing-songingly, gently pulling the paper out of her friend's fingers to crumble it and discard it into one of her robe pockets. Most of the activities she picked out would need a further explenation as she rarely knew what to really call them, mostly using key words whilst writing them down. This one was an exception.

Leaning away again, she rolled over on her knees so it'd be easier to get up. She then swiveled to reach for her shoes. Rather than putting them on, as might've been expected, she shoved her socks inside, opting to walk around barefoot. The grass was soft underneath her feet, the dirt uneven and slightly wet. The combination of nearing autumn and scottish weather meant that the ground was already cold, but the young Raven didn't mind.

She had the habit of dicarding her shoes whilst outside long before coming to Hogwarts, and - thanks to her mom being a medic - was very aware of the possible conciquences. Still it never stopped her. A cold on its own never killed anyone - plus, magic was kinda a cure it all and they had a whole room with capable nurses in the castle.

Head tilted to a side and smile bright on her face, Sabrina offered an extanded hand to help her up to the other Raven.

"Might be our last chance to do so this year" she noted, eyes darting around the field around them.

Flower crowns, something Cassandra had ample experience with so she was very quietly excited when the activity was revealed. Flower crowns were a common craft project in her household, especially around spring time. If she had thought there would be flowers around she probably would have written it down herself but she hadn't been exactly sure how many flowers would be around given the season. Then again, she supposed there should be some wild flowers around and there were certain flowers that still grew in the winter so perhaps they would be lucky.

She watched as Sabrina got up, notably now barefooted, and offered her hand out toward her. Before grabbing her fellow Ravenclaw's hand, she carefully took off her own socks and carefully tucked them into her shoes before taking the girl's hand and pulling herself up.

The grass tickled slightly and the dirt was somewhat wet most likely due to the close proximity to the river. Her mother would have probably scolded her for running around barefoot when it was cool out but she supposed her mother wouldn't find out, unless she got sick of course but she would be careful. She would just be careful were she walked and if she felt as though she was getting to cold she'd put her shoes back on but for now she was going to have fun.

She nodded her head when Sabrina said this might be there last chance to make flower crowns for the year. "Yes, it's still possible we might not find many flowers but hopefully there are at least a few patch of wildflowers growing around, if not we might have to end up making grass and leaf crowns," she joked slightly, giving a slight smile before turning her attention towards the grounds to see if she could spot any wildflower patches.
