Speech -- Thoughts
Pam fidgeted slightly, feeling extremely out of place in the quidditch grounds. Students were training all around her, and no-one was paying her any attention, and Pam was more than a little relieved about that. She wasn't sure why exactly she wanted to be part of the quidditch team. She had never been a sporty person, but watching the game in play had been exhilarating. And Pam had a feeling being a part of it would be even more of an adrenaline rush. Therefore, here she was.
Pam had set her heart on being a seeker. There was something very cool about that specific position, and the golden snitch was pretty. And small. Pam had always liked small stuff. Well, it had been a close competition between the seeker and chaser positions. She liked the idea of being a chaser too. The way the chasers worked reminded her of pass the parcel (probably not the best muggle comparison though). The Hufflepuff team members were extremely cool. Pam was atleast going to attempt to be like that. But for that she would need to practice. And hard.
The Hufflepuff Quidditch Team Captain was a different story altogether. Pam wasn't really sure when exactly she began to idolize the woman, but she was good. Well that was to be expected since she was a team captain after all but like, Pam had been mindblown when she had seen her in action for the first time. That was probably also the beginning of her interest in the sport, because Pam longed to play beside her.
She wasn't sure if she had been blessed or cursed to have bumped into the older girl in the common room one evening. She had probably been too tired that night, because she could not come up with any other reason for how she managed to ask her to train her without losing her mind. What had come as a bigger surprise was the fact that the woman had agreed to help her out and Pam had no clue why. Maybe she's used to having random people ask her for lessons.
She was definitely losing her mind now though. Her brain was screaming at her to please run away and she was way too tempted to listen to it. The only thing stopping her was the fact that she wanted to be here when the girl showed up. If she showed up. I do hope she does. Actually no. Or maybe yes? Pam groaned, smacking her head with her hand, get a grip. She sure was going places today.

───────────────────────────────────As was becoming more and more common of late, Avery was running behind schedule. Or, at least, whatever loose series of tasks and events haphazardly strung together in her mind if that still counted as having a schedule. Regardless, the captain looked mildly ruffled as she jogged along the pitch with a bag over one should and a well used broom draped across the other.
She had only realized a few moments ago that broom racing practice had run over schedule slightly. The third year had bid a quick farewell to the team before scrambling to gather her things and set off at a light jog towards the practice pitch after taking note of the time.
Having done her morning ritual of referencing the hastily written reminders scatted across the pages of her journal, she was reminded of her promise to to help out an aspiring player today. The note had been haphazardly scrawled in the margins, a clear sign that she had only just remembered to jot the thought down before collapsing in her hammock for the night. There was also a reminder to finish a History of Magic essay due tomorrow, but that was far easier to ignore.
Avery offers up brief greetings to some familiar faces at the practice field as she passes, surveying the students gathered to try and find her trainee for the day. Pamela, the reminder had said. The captain finally catches sight of her quarry amongst the crowd and diverts her path towards the younger girl.
The third year is somewhat out of breath as she slows to a stop near Pamela, raising her hand from the strap of her bag to give a quick wave. "Hey there! Sorry for the wait, practice ran over a little longer than expected. Pamela, right?" She gives the girl a once over, noting the fidgeting, and offers up an easy smile. "Forgive me, I've got something of a horrible memory. What position were you looking to try some training for today? Or positions, if you not sure and want to see what fits. I can run and grab some practice balls that we can run drills with."────────────────────────────────

Run away. Do not run away.
Pam had taken to counting the number of people on the quidditch pitch like that, attempting to pass the time as the older girl had started to run late. Definitely running late and not decided to not show up. She fidgeted with her bracelet, wondering what she would even say when she came. Hi? Hello? I wonder if she remembers my name..... Oh my god, I'm a mess. Maybe I should—
Her internal reverie was interrupted as Pam spotted the girl she had been ogling over the duration of two Quidditch Matches walk over to her, waving a hand at her, and Pam felt her brain stutter to a stop for a dreadful five seconds. Say something. Don't be an idiot. She cleared her throat, pressing her bracelet even tighter with her fingers as she replied, "Er yes....I-I'm Pamela—" Gosh what's with that stutter.
She rubbed the back of her neck, running over the question of which position she wanted to train for. She had been considering that before Avery had shown up and she replied, "W-well, I was thinking either a seeker or a chaser? But I'd also like to find out which position I could be good at." She smiled awkwardly, "That's okay right?"
