Underground Explorations pv Closed

Linda was long curious about secret passageways and found herself attracted to the dungeons. She was there once in an attempt to search for a parselmouth. Today she was planning to go there with completely different purpose.

She put on sweatshirt and warm leggings and went to be on her way all the way down the stairs. She realized it could be not the best idea, but Linda was re-discovering herself and a lot of things were changing. However, she still preferred to not break any rules, unless it would be absolutely necessary.

And so, with these thoughts she finally reached the dungeons, only to discover that someone already was there. A girl, probably around a year younger than her. She paused, looking around and not finding anyone else there. So the other girl was here alone. Linda thought about how better to approach her so hopefully the girl wouldn't be scared. However, nothing came to her mind, so she simply let her footsteps announce her presence.

Hi. She spoke softly and not loud. Any attempts to not startle her already didn't matter. It was most likely inevitable. Are you here to explore too? She continued with a soft enthusiastic voice. Linda was ready to explore the place alone, but doing it with someone else could be even more great.

Kie knew her hunch was right, she has always had pretty good intuition to say the least. There was another person down there with her, but luckily, she seemed like a normal student, a girl around her age too. Still, any voices down here would surly startle her, the mystery girl no exception.

“Oh, hey” she said with slight edge to her voice, but she was slowly calming her heart rate. “Yeah, I was just curious about what I could find, I thought it could be fun” she replied, her voice much more stable now. She was about to ask what the girl was doing down here, but soon realized it was obviously the same thing as her.

She tried to look at the girl standing in front of her, but with the distance between them, and the dimness of the dungeons, it was very difficult. She didn’t want to seem crazy trying to squint her eyes, so she just let it be. She definitely wasn’t someone she already knew, Kie would have recognized her by her voice.

“Well, I’m Kiera, or just Kie, you?” she asked, wanting to know more about the girl. “I’m a second year here, Hufflepuff” she smiled.

Linda chuckled. Surely there could be someone else here who happened to have same interest at the same time. However, perhaps it was not bad. In a company of the other girl it could be more fun. A potential friendship that started with this exploration wouldn't be something bad either. But she didn't really care if it was a one time meeting or not.

Linda or Li. I'm in Gryffindor, third year. She smiled replying to Kie. Not that her smile could be seen well in dungeons. She even doubted that Kiera saw her face that well. At least Linda couldn't say she did. Perhaps if they would meet somewhere else she would have to rely on voice more than face. However, if they leave dungeons together, Linda supposed there'll be a moment to better see Kiera.

So shall we go? She asked enthusiastically. They wouldn't discover anything if they'd be standing there whole time. Linda had no idea what exactly she was looking for, but she hoped to have a great time nevertheless.

So what do you hope to find here? She asked the girl, wishing to know a bit more. Focusing on the surrounding area Linda started to attempt to notice anything that would attract her, demanding more exploration. The light in the dungeons seemed just about to be enough to not trip over anything. Not bright enough to see everything well. But she found its own mystery in it. Quite suitable for this place. It was rather cold here and she was glad she was wearing a proper clothes. Otherwise she doubted she would spend more time here.

Kie wrapped her arms around her torso tighter, why did they have to make the dungeons so cold? She understood that this was in fact in the basements, but wasn’t this a school of magic? Surely they could work something out.

“Nice to meet you Linda” she smiled “oh hey our nicknames are kinda similar”. She thought she saw Li smile, but it was hard to be certain in this type of darkness, but yet she smiled back. Even if her expression couldn’t be seen, it was still a nice gesture.

Kie nodded. “Yeah, good idea, I’d love to explore some more” she took a slow step forwards into the pits of the dungeon, not wanting to make it seem like she was leaving Linda behind. She turned her head back to see if she was following.

“I was really hoping that I’d find some secret passages or something. I know there’s bunch around Hogwarts, like into common rooms and stuff, but I was hoping there could be some more interesting ones hidden down here” she replied. Kie hoped that Linda had a similar interest as her, or else this could be a little weird.

As adventurous as a person Kie was, it was still slightly unnerving to be down here. The dimly lit hallways and the cold breeze. She kept looking over to the girl next to her to make sure everything was still okay, she hoped that she didn’t appear too freaked out.

Linda giggled at the mentioning of their nicknames. Nice to meet you too. You are right, it's quite similar. Preparing to go further into the basements, Linda thought about how nice it would be to have a little bit more light.

She was happy when Kie said she'd love to explore more. Could they find something hidden here? Linda hoped they could. It would be amazing. Distracting herself from thoughts, she quickly followed Kiera. They were going to explore together and if they constantly had to search for each other, it would be difficult to explore anything.

I just was thinking about how great it would be to find something hidden here. I'll try to stay close to you, so we at least don't need to search for each other.

Linda smiled, even though she was unsure if Kiera could see it. Sharing the same interest was something really great and Linda couldn't stop wondering. Will they find something? Even if they didn't, she supposed it was still going to be a nice time.

How far do you want to go? Also I guess we need to try our best to not miss anything. It's not that easy to see everything here. She spoke softly. It was second time Linda came to the basements. But it was first time she came to this part.
