Dratted Prat and his ill timed transfiguration!

The spell itself took a moment to take hold and its effects spread slowly --- but so did reversing the process! Colin could do no more than watch as first Liam and Lorcan and then Ciarán and finally Aoife were drawn into the massive stone walls of the castle itself! And still he couldn't move! His feet had taken root to the floor and even as the horrid black roots untwisted, he heard Prat casting again!

A cloth wound itself around his head. A bandana blinding him! In a way it was a mercy. Colin wouldn't have to witness little Aoife's fingers disappearing into the stone. But it also meant he couldn't see Prat's fist rapidly slamming into the side of his face! THOCK! Colin reeled and fell to the floor!

Ava was shouting. Someone was shaking his shoulders. He recognised her scent. Ginger Snaps. His friend and team mate. Colin shook off the blindfold, trying to take in the carnage of Regulus Dorm. Aamon was gone. Had he been drawn into the wall too? Matt was curled up on the floor. Claire looked like she was still having a grand time, floating in her own world! Astra was shouting at Colin, trying to shake him back to reality.

"Colin, your siblings aren't here, and there's no shadow creatures. Snap out of it, Colin," she pleaded. It took a moment to realise what she was telling him. Colin looked around the dimly lit dorm. The flicker of fire light caught his attention briefly. The curtain was on fire. There were smouldering cushions. Colin vaguely remembered casting the spells to fight off the shadow creatures. Yet Snaps didn't seem to have seen them?

Could they have just invaded his mind? Clearly some of the other kids had been attacked by something else. Maybe something in the drinks? It wouldn't be the first time Hogwarts students were subjected to something sus in their drinks. No wonder kids like Valentin insisted on providing their own!

Wait.

Colin stood up and thought back. "Colin, your siblings aren't here..." Astra's words came back to him, even as she busied herself putting out the fires. Reality smacked him harder that Prat's weak punches ever could. Liam was a Ravenclaw. He was no doubt sprawled out on his own bed high up in Ravenclaw Tower. Lorcan was --- Colin shook his head. Ciarán had only just come back to school this term. She didn't come to the S.N.O.G. meeting at all. And little Aoife --- she wasn't even at Hogwarts!

Colin let out a deep breath.

Ava's voice drew his attention. She must be suffering the same kind of hallucinations he thought. He met Ava in the middle of the room, pillows and blankets and children scattered around. It had worked on him --- it might work on Ava too? He took the girl by the shoulders and tried to shake her awake again. "AVA!" he called. "Wake up! It's me --- Colin! I ain't dead or anything! We are friends, Ava! Wake up!"

Colin could only imagine the torment she must have been going through. She was on about him and Luci. That could only mean ---

He held his friend's face in his hands. He looked into her eyes, seeking any sign of awareness or recognition. "Ava! I forgave you too! Please! Wake up!"

Action: Colin's mind clears, thanks to Astra. He tries to wake Ava up!

OOC Note: Since the moderated portion is now done; I'll assume that as the chaos dies down, the girls will depart and the boys will sleep it all off. Colin will sprawl onto his own bed unless Ava wants to continue.

And thanks Matt for doing this! This was brilliant! Hopefully S.N.O.G. Part Deux will be just as barking!

Keep your mind in hell; and don't despair.

The kiss was going great at first, until a voice echoed her ears, one that Elisa had craved to hear the whole winter, a voice that she had taken for granted in her past years but now her heart ached to hear the voice one last time, it was as if her father was right behind her with his usual kind yet stern expression plastered on his face as he spoke mimicked those words, which Elisa remembered was from the last ever letter he wrote to her, she didn't even remember where the letter was, if only she'd have wrote back to him, if only she'd have had a proper conversation with him at least once during the past one year, her guilt wouldn't have been as bad as it was.

Elisa felt her eyes well up with tears as guilt hit her. She regretted ever planning to rebel against him. For every moment she had spoken back to him, every second she had rolled her eyes while he spoke, the only thought that remained in her mind was, 'What if I had never gone this far to hate him?', would it have improved her situation currently if she had no guilt of her actions?

Suddenly she felt a surge of anger as she thought of his death, the way her mother had hidden it from her, the time she had spent in Hogwarts unaware of the fact that she had lost the sole person who cared for her beneath the rough facade he held, she hated her mother, she would forever, was she not worth to know about her own father's demise? Was she that bad of a daughter that her mother hid it from her?

The young snake could feel tears collect in her eyelashes as her sight started to blur. A huge sound of explosion hit her ear, behind which she heard the familiar voice of her father's screech. This was the breaking point for her, as tears started flowing down her eyes. Emotions of all kinds hit her. All she yearned for was her father's presence, his voice, one last time.

As chaos broke, Elisa found herself curling up in the corner of the room. The guard she held on herself finally cracked. She sobbed, each harder than before, not even caring about the world around her. Her current self was a stark contrast to her usual composed self. Elisa didn't even bother to wipe her tears. Her mind constantly wondered, why was fate so cruel to her. What bad had she committed for all this?

Mellani watched as her comforting seemed to work on Ava and Colin, and everyone was slowly realizing what their hallucinations were - just hallucinations, nothing real, and thankfully, it seemed that Mellani did not drink enough for her to start hallucinating. So she could have one good night. Or as good as was possible seeing everything that had already happened.

She watched Matt as he slowly turned into a ball and started sobbing uncontrollably. No, he was just acting. He had to be acting. He couldn't POSSIBLY be stupid enough to drink his own poison. "Lumos", she cast, pointing her wand directly near his eyes, while also shaking him. "Seriously Matt, stop acting, wake up and answer my questions!!"

She kept shaking him, desperate to know exactly what was going on. Why could no Slytherin party be normal? What had their house done wrong to deserve this? Or was chaos just part of the fun for some? Mellani quickly noticed the dark haired girl from before who had never ended up getting her dare sobbing in a corner of the room. So not all hallucinations had ended.

She looked at Matt one last time. "You got away today, you'll have to get answers for me next time." She slowly walked away towards the dark haired girl, still throwing glances at Matt every now and then. Maybe he did actually drink the cider... Maybe he did that just so people wouldn't suspect him. She would find out.

When she reached the dark haired girl, she sat next to her. "Hey, I don't know your name yet, but I have a feeling you're a great person. Whatever you're seeing, or saw, it's not real. Everything is just a messed up hallucination, and the sooner you realize that, the better." She really hoped she could reach out to this girl like she reached out to Ava.

In some ways, the things that were happening were cringeworthy. The young slytherin's expression likewise showed this. He was flinching so much that anyone who saw his face would think it was comical. He didn't find it repulsive, but he felt like he was breaking the rules or witnessing something that was not allowed to happen among children. Well, maybe it wouldn't harm to be a bit wild.

"What they don't know won't hurt them, right?" Atlas gave her a suspicious glance, but she wasn't lying at all.  suppose these were the benefits of not having parents or adult supervision. It became clear to him that this was his "live fast" moment. Quick-fire incantations suddenly erupted from Colin's mouth. Remedy shielded the little child from the quick fire by grabbing his shoulder and urging him to the ground. Atlas experienced his own aftereffects from the drink; he began to feel tingling and thought the world was spinning.

What Atlas heard while the young female slytherin spoke was, "Aaaht…Lasshh, hic… so shorryy... didnn’ hic... know there wazzz... shomething in theee… hic... drinksh. hic... my bad, dude, hic... wheeeww, dizzzzyyy!" This continued further as he heard, "Iii dunnn think… hic… you shoulda drank hic… twooo... hic... No way, man… hic... wobblyyy wheeewww" Remedy seemed to speak alien language all of a sudden, and he burst out laughing at what she was saying, "Re… hic... me… dy… has a tentacccle and a taiiiiil! Hahaha! hic... Sheeee's a space critter! Hoooo... hic... outta this world!" he laughed so hard that his face turned pink.

He even gave Remedy a moniker as he was hanging on her shoulder, "My dearest tentacle tail, you look so beautiful, I hope you don't steal human. WAIT, LOOK, I can speak alien... Bleep bleep bloop! Shmzzp flork glorp! Haaa! Wizzle wazzle, doo da dee! Bzzzt, zap! Ooga booga!"

Two drinks of whiskey was two drinks too much for the thirteen year old.

Too busy passing out to notice or react as Astra leaned closer to him, about to ask him if he was alright, soon the boy slipped into dreams. On guard suspecting the usual nightmares that plagued him day in and day out since the event he was greeted with bittersweet serendipity as the scene opened out into a field shadowed by distant mountains. Laying and hiding away in the grass with his mother as the sun beaded down on them from above in weather unsuited for mid-winter in the Scottish highlands. Still asking for her scarf and wrapping it onto his shoulders as a sudden draft threatened to snatch him away, he smiled watching their coonhound dancing with the wind. Clapping for the dog to come to his side he was greeted with a run. Scout pounced onto him in a tackling hug, pressing him down until his back felt the soft tickle of eriophorum against his shirt. Laughing as he brought down the dog closer to him, hearing the soft chuckles of his mother as sounds blended into one another, he pressed the tip of his nose against Scout’s. Suddenly his back hit hard onto wood, suddenly the colours started the fade away, suddenly he couldn’t breathe. Damnit, he couldn’t breathe.

Uhhh…” he groaned, “Scout!! Scout… no….

Except it wasn’t Scout. Rubbing his eyes as the world came into focus around him the fur scratching his cheeks was far too coarse and far too orange to be the one of his hound and then again even intoxicated he knew his dog as far more docile than the stubborn kitty. Feeling just barely strong enough to force him off his face the just awoken boy found himself leaned against an unfamiliar bed, in an unfamiliar room, filled with unfamiliar people. With the alcohol not yet wearing off Archer scanned the room gripped in absolute rife when his eyes finally returned to the girl he had just met. Zeno caught his attention back his he growled at a piece of paper stabbed into the bedpost by where Archer had slept. Leaning over to tear it off he forced his eyes to adjust as he read the contents out loud, words slightly slurred with drunkenness and following bewilderment. Hands pressing over where the paper had crinkled he stared at the elegant calligraphy and less fine final line signed at the bottom, with nothing more, not even a signature or location.

Hidden danger seemed to lurk in something as mundane as a piece of paper, yet Archer felt himself intrigued by the uncertain drawn of it. Barely registering the words even as he reread them a second time the last two lines snagged his eyes and forced him to stop in his trail of unsteady thought. Despite the overwhelming confusion of the past days he knew what he sorts of knowledge he sought, even if they were too dark for him to admit. Harbouring no hopes that he would ever learn such things in school he saw what others may perceive as a threat an opportunity. There was a reason, after all, that he was sorted into Slytherin. It was a verse to read, but beyond that, a riddle to solve, or, if his hopes allowed for it, an invitation to accept.

With cautious slowness, he asked one careful question, “What is this?

I hold what you need, tucked away tight,
If you yearn for knowledge, seek me by night.
