Joy and doubt mingled in Saunders Napier's soul. It was a curious mixture, where curiosity and hesitation intertwined, and the rays of the temperance of Apollo's virtuous sun were mixed with the unfettered enthusiasm distilled from the crimson grapes of the laughing god, Dionysus. His soul likened the scene before its very eyes to a vast ocean forcing one either to dive into its depths and hastily stroke or stand on its edge and bask in the sun -- each according to his choice. The other snakes (or at least most of them, for Harvey appeared to have left the party) were enjoying the venerated game of spin the bottle, a game that promised to awaken a cascading torrent of spry passion. But Saunders found himself caught in an old dilemma. If it was merely safety he sought, it was imperative to stay on shore. But if there was even the slightest possibility that his desires might pursue something beyond that dull request . . . then he should dive in! At least up to his ankles, preferably to his knees.

As he mull over the dilemma, to Saunders’s astonishment, one of his fellow snakes, which bore an uncanny resemblance to a girl (“Merlin’s resplendently knotted beard,” he thought, “how convincingly girlish they look today!”), beckoned him to sit down. Oh dear boy, Quo Vadis? Was Saunders about to restage the old, old story of the legendary ancestor of mankind, the one tempted by the serpent? Or was he about to take a step toward the Truth (yes, the one with the capital letter) as some foregone gnostics had once claimed? The melody in his mind was an utter cacophony: the soothing tones of an angelic harp clashing with the menacing rhythm of an infernal trumpet’s onrush. Yet suddenly he found himself seated on a cushion, between Colin and the kind stranger.

Saunders by no means mastered the distinguished art of floor sitting. Like any decently civilised --well, Saunders had no excuse not to look at the world from a deeply Eurocentric view-- person, he was instead familiar with sitting on furniture, be it a mahogany chair carved by a master artisan or a fainting couch draped in brocade. Even though his young knees protested that posture loudly, he admirably, managed to remain seated. Here's an epic of endurance that would make even the most gallant Spartans weep.

Why, you might ask, did he join the game? Was our lad truly so consumed by his desire to experience snogging, that pretty mundane act? Simply, no. The boy was only eleven, a terrible age, and his hormones had not yet reached the stage of madness that would drive him to such pursuits, a fact for which we must be grateful. Nor had he yet reached the dawn of the years in which he would be destined to romanticize simple chemical changes in his body, to sanctify his biological impulses under poetic veils, or to lose himself in the spiral of hedonism. And yet, curiosity has no age limit! What wise man can answer the question: Why do six-year-olds have such an astonishing determination to seize every opportunity to drink bleach? Or is it a latent suicidal tendency? And why do ten-year-olds feel mysteriously compelled to walk on balcony railings? Is it their passion for extreme sports that drives them to such madness? No. The fortune and curse of humanity are one and the same and can be summed up in a single word: curiosity.

And so there sat Saunders Napier, the vast plains of his soul being trodden down every second by the hooves of none other than our collective fortune and curse.

He had not yet mustered up the courage to admit that the idea of snogging (and especially with a girl) was slightly repulsive to him. Yet curiosity, that ruthless and intimidating taskmaster, spurred him on. A wild, untamable, insatiable curiosity burned within him, like a beacon shining in the darkest night and in the farthest corners of the world. And now, right there, right under the glow of that beacon, sat Saunders.
Action: Joins the game.

Oh for Merlin...

The cat had left the young Prat scratched and sober— blood trickling down his face. Nabi placed her hand over her mouth and her eyes wide. She had not expected the cat to react so... viciously. Yet before she could offer her handkerchief to at least help with the bit of blood, she noticed something peculiar. Her gray eyes narrowed as she stayed quiet, observing him.

Why are you smiling? Was he that drunk to find humor in being attacked by a cat?

Nabi was about to speak up when someone else spoke, "Y'alright, there?" she glanced over to see the girl with the odd sleepwear design. The owner of the cat must have been nearby as the cat quickly left the scene of the attack, Nabi whispered to Prat "Again...I am very sorry, Mr. Prat..." before walking to her previous spot next to the girl who had muttered something earlier. The second round began and the bottle paused on the same girl of the duck-patterned sleepwear. The bottle was spun again and paused the rim pointing...

beside her.

Her eyes followed the direction the rim pointed towards, her gaze landing on Aamon, who appeared lost. The girl of ducky sleepwear, now in front of him said in a playful grin, "I'm no cat, but what do you say?"

Nabi raised an eyebrow slightly, her eyes flickering toward Aamon, who still seemed lost— the rusted gears in his head turning. She began to wonder if he would kiss the girl, "…But I was going to kiss the cat." Nabi tilted her head slightly, What? A small smile played at the corners of her mouth; finding it amusing how he seemed to have prioritized the cat.

Until he leaned in.

Nabi's faint smile faltered slightly and she quickly blinked once, confused as to why she suddenly felt...off. Nabi said nothing as she thought to herself, The cider must be having an effect.

But she merely had had a sip...

The feeling disappeared just as quickly as it had come, much like the kiss on the forehead Aamon had given the girl in ducky sleepwear. The bottle was spun again, leaving Prat to kiss the girl who was beside her. Turning to look at the double cider vial girl, she noticed the girl's evident disgust toward Prat.

It appears tonight is not Mr. Prat's night...

"Matthew, I'll take the whiskey instead" Nabi hummed in thought, How did they acquire firewhiskey?

With a slight shrug, she watched the girl drink a shot of firewhiskey in one go. Merlin... Her faint smile returned, Nabi had only seen adults take such drinks with ease. Any previous thought of the scheme she had overheard from the three older students was long forgotten as she sat in her spot, her demeanor visibly lighter.

Mentioning @Prat Prass, @Colin McCoire, @Remedy Norden, @Ava Winchect, and @Aamon Athanatos.
Nora hadn't planned on going, but she didn't really know what else to do. She'd done all her studying, done all her homework. Sure, she could study more, but like... did she want to? No, she did not. And, as she lay in her bed, staring at the ceiling, half her body hanging over the edge and the other half twisted in her blankets, and her eyes refusing to close, she knew that she wasn't going to fall asleep anytime soon either. Therefore, to the "S.N.O.G." she would go.

It was dark in her room, so Nora quietly rolled out of bed and grabbed the fuzzy socks that were discarded at the edge of her bed. She was wearing a black pyjama romper, and after rifling through her drawers, she pulled out a blue knit sweater that was loose but quite cozy. It used to be her mom's, before Nora stole it, of course. Last, she found a hair elastic but left it around her wrist. She didn't feel like putting her hair up right now, nor did she feel like brushing it, but it was good to have options. Once she was ready, she headed out.

A girl with long black hair was at the Regulus dorm door when she turned into the boy's corridor, and Nora watched as she cautiously entered. For a few seconds, she stood still, unsure if she should follow. After all, with sounds coming from the room, it seemed like the fun had already started. Was she too late? That had never really been a concern of hers before, but the anxiety still hung to her for a second. However, she quickly shook it off. After all, the other girl was just as late, so really, there was no issue. Nora made her way down the hall, and stopped when she came to the door to

She noted with amusement the abused banner outside, cleverly labelled "S.N.O.G." which, according to her memory, stood for Slytherin Night Of Gentleman. Nora admired the ingenuity of whoever had come up with that acronym. Opening the door, she peeked in, scanning the group for a familiar face. There was Aamon, the kid who'd flooded the Slytherin party; Prat, the one who'd dressed up as Headmaster Lear; Colin, who Nora didn't know super well, but was friendly with; and finally, Ava, who she'd only met once or twice, but seemed pretty nice. Plus, she had bonus points for Lucian not liking her, and anyone Lucian didn't like would surely be someone that Nora did.

Everyone was arranged in somewhat of a circle, and for some reason, there were a lot of flowers... and bubbles? But when Nora noticed the bottle, her face broke into a grin. Spin the bottle! After a second of hesitation, Nora finally entered the room, and grabbed a drink from the snack table before going to sit down next to Ava. It felt like the safest bet, and while she didn't know her super well, she'd certainly had the most interactions with her out of everyone in the group. As she sat down, she nodded in greeting to everyone else, but refrained from saying anything yet. Despite her confidence, it did feel a bit weird to be around a bunch of people that she only kind of knew.

Sniffing her drink, Nora looked down suspiciously at it before taking a shallow sip. She usually would have brought her own flask, but she'd emptied it at the party. She'd only planned to have maybe half of it that night, but with all the excitement, she'd only noticed how much she'd drunk when she went to put it away again the next morning. So now, this spiked drink was the best she had. Nora really hoped it did have something in it, at least, it tasted like it did. Then again, her tongue was so numb from the hot chocolate she'd had earlier that she couldn't really taste much.

As the drink settled in her, she gained enough confidence to speak up. Crossing her legs, she sat up straight and tucked her hair behind her ears. "Okay, so, what'd I miss?" Nora surveyed the faces around her, and added, "I see some... interesting expressions."

"WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

Colin leaned back against the bed. His long arms were hooked over the edge of the bed and he stretched contentedly, a huge smile spread across his face.

He was sure that fifteen whole minutes had passed, or maybe even an hour! Several other kids had shown up, and Colin had no idea how long they were there.

He looked into Ava's eyes again.

"Whoa. Now, that's how you snog! Five hundred points to Slytherin for best snogging in all Snogwarts!"

Colin wondered what had been going on since he and Ava started kissing. Clearly chaos was the order of the day. Aamon seemed to be happy. Claire was holding Greebo. Saunders was being Saunders. Prat and Matt were being chaotic. Snaps was trying her best to avoid chaos. Colin smiled, observing the happenings with amusement, rubbing his chest and belly absently. He turned his attention back to Ava. He blinked. Nora was sitting next to her, asking what she'd missed. "Ava that was really ---" Colin blushed. He liked Ava. She was really a beautiful girl. And could she kiss! But, there was just something else about her. Colin hadn't yet been able to figure what it was. He wondered what she was thinking. "--- bloody brilliant!" he finished.

He turned to Nora. "Not too late Nora!" Colin leaned forward and gave the bottle another spin! "Right!" he called out. "Round --- I don't know what round this is! WOOO! Who hasn't had a snog yet?" Colin looked around for the flask he'd sipped from earlier. He couldn't find it. He shrugged, leaning back against the foot of the bed.

Colin smirked, waiting for the bottle to spin down to a stop again.

AEIOUSA
Through the haze of alcohol and shock, Prat awaited as the cat's claws retracted from his face. The sting was almost unbearable to him. A sharp pain that reminded him of the chaotic reality that crashed through the veil of intoxication he had managed to raise up.

His cheek burned with the promise of very visible nasty scars.

He swallowed the whimper that threatened to escape his lips, blinking rapidly, he attempted willing his vision to clear as the room spun around him. Despite the pain, his mind clung to the fleeting sense of relief that his first kiss remained untainted by the results of his own drunken folly.

The cat, their unintentional chaperone, had done its job with alarming efficiency. Slightly too efficient were the burning sensations any sign.

“My apologies, captain" Archer said as he began to signal Zeno back into his own care.

"It's okay," Prat slurred, raising a hand to his face, feeling the warm wetness of blood. "it's my fault for having a face."

He nodded slightly at Nabi, hoping to reassure her that the damage wasn't too severe. Inside, he felt a mix of embarrassment and gratitude.

The feline intervention had saved them both from an awkward situation but now it appeared as his very first rejection too. One that could have lasting consequences, he needed a moment to explain he never intended to, but time truly wasn't in his favour today.

The pain was a small price to pay for his dignity, and he'd deal with the rest later, once he'd figured out how to get his bearings in a world that seemed to be tilting at an impossible angle from him.

Both sides taking him to either a loss of dignity or a loss of one of the most treasured moment in one's life. For now, he was satisfied at the escape they had managed, and that the cat was back to it's care giver, having left the crowd without any accidental harm.

His grandfather's words echoed in his mind, "You bring dishonor," and he felt a pang of guilt, his inebriated state was quite contrasting to the dignified form he'd been raised into.

He took a deep, shaky breath, willing the room to stop spinning. The pain had a sobering effect, the alcohol-induced haze dissipating like the last few crackles from a dying fire. Looking down at the crimson seeping through his fingers, taking stock of his surroundings, his grandfather's shadowy figure fading away, as did his intoxication.

"Bu- But" he murmured to himself, "Nevermind" He wasn't sure what this moment even was, he just wished to move past it. The whispers of his grandfather's voice grew fainter as Prat slowly regained his composure.

With the second spin of the bottle pointing at Prat again, this was his hell brought to life. His saviour in being however turned out to be the cause of his multiple previous annoyances, Elisa, who chose to down the whiskey shot instead.

He did not intend to even let the thought of being anywhere near this goblin snogger be entertained. They were cousins afterall, and while he had no expectations of her upholding her own dignity, not from Elisa, seeing her choices in companions.

But Prat still had some left.

The bottle itself was to blame for this mess. It was as if it had a mind of its own, orchestrating the chaos like a twisted and cruel puppeteer.

The very idea of this game had been a mistake from the beginning, bringing out the worst luck he might have had in years. His hand tightened into a fist around the fabric, clutching his clothes.

He felt a sudden urge to shatter this stupid bottle it into a million pieces, ridding them all of the troubles it had brought forth. The whiskey had turned into a symbol of his folly, a liquid reminder of the time his judgment faltered. He decided to never let his guard down like this again.

Prat observed as Saunders sauntered over to the circle with a smug grin, the memory of their previous encounter was still fresh in his mind.

He took a furtive sip from his flask, the cool cider stinging his throat but helping to dull the pain in his face.

"Hey, um. Is it too late to join..whatever this is?"

Prat's eyes followed Remedy as she walked into the room, her curiosity piquing his interest. Her question hung in the air.

He couldn't place her from his hazy memory of Hogwarts, "Hey, um. Is it too late to join...whatever this is?" she asked, glancing around the circle of slightly intoxicated students. He took a moment as he waved her over. "You're not late at all," he assured her, gesturing to an empty spot. "Grab a seat, and someone will catch you up."

Then, to his surprise, Nora joined them in the circle, the presence was surprising. He'd met Nora during the Slytherin rager, and she'd been cool, not the usual snob you got used to living among the snakes. He had no memory of how their interaction had ended.

He did recall seeing noticing her presence at the Slytherin rager some time ago, before it turned into a pool party straight from the depths of the worst kind.

He had been in a rather ridiculous outfit, one that oddly matched their headmaster. A parody of the authoritative figure who Prat hoped would never find out, and if he did. He wished he'd manage to keep his funny bone until then.

Another instance was his jest at one of her friends regarding a your-mom joke.

Mellani entered the Regulus boys dorms, the one place she never thought she would go to, because first, snogging was not her thing, and second, it was an all boys thing, and she did not want to interrupt or make it awkward.

However, she couldn't sleep anyways, and she was done reading the book that she had been reading, so here she was, hoping that she was not the only girl there.

Thankfully, she quickly noticed her dormmate from the start, Nora over there. So that's where she had been. She went and sat beside Nora, after grabbing a drink. "I have no idea why I'm here, but am I too late? I think I'm too late...", she asked doubtfully, noticing all the other people there.

Colin and the other girl who he seemed interested in (her name was Ava, right?) were there, and Mellani was sure something was going on between them. The guy from the toilet incident at the party, Aamon was there, and Prat, the one who made the your mom joke was also there, a huge scratch across his face, along with few more people Mellani did not know, but she barely knew anyone, so that wasn't a big surprise.

Mellani was still wondering why she had not got up and run away yet. From the look of things, they were probably playing Spin the Bottle, and that reminded Mell of her first time playing this game at Hogwarts, in her First Year, which had turned into a pretty huge disaster. She really hoped that the bottle wouldn't land on her today, and she wouldn't have to snog anyone.

Giving alcohol to Archer could go one of two ways, it could alleviate him of some of the pain of his suffering or it could lead him to encounter even more problems feeling further detached from his mortal tethers than he already appeared. Yet as he stared down at the boy with his kitty curled in his lap a portrait of wholesome comfort he couldn't resist the voice in his head that told him to let the boy make his own choices. After Matthew had found out about his own mum everyone had tried desperately to tell him how to feel and how to act and it was suffocating. All the hovering and pitiful stares, he couldn't bare it so no he wouldn't do the same, he would allow Archer to make his own decisions and be there to pick him up if he fell but only when he asked or when he was incapable but needed it.

"Potiri Putine", conjuring two fresh flasks with a flick of his cherry wood wand one a small kind of whisky glass the other more akin to a shooter. He poured a healthy measure of the fiery red liquid into the tumbler and handed it to the boy. Despite his decision he still felt a warning necessary, "Take it easy, we've been on the cider this stuffs a lot harder." Then with a commanding look that melted before it even had a chance to settle he spoke to the Tabby "Look after him ok." The cat made only a small purr in response but snuggled in closer to the boy lifting a small paw onto his arm, once dangerous face scarring claws now angelic and comforting.

Walking over to Elisa and Prat attempting not to wince at the gash on his face he poured them each a shot of the liquid into the secondary flask he had made watching with awe as they both successfully held down the fiery substance as if they had done it before. Perhaps they had, the traditions of pureblood families would forever be forbidden from his knowledge, for all he knew it was a typical aperitif. Smiling up at them he patted Prat on the back noticing the off look in his face from earlier still present, "Damn Prat you look like you've seen a ghost maybe grab some water if you're going to do any more shots Cap." Then with a shy smirk he turned to Elisa and with a slight blush to his cheeks said, "I hope for your sake you you don't have to do any more of these." Rushing off before his face caught any more fire he turned back towards his spot securing the firewhisky into his pocket and going to collect his cider.

As he picked it up the dregs that remained, mere drops of amber liquid still present, revealed small spots in the bottle of the vial like little shrivelled shards. Thinking back to his own hallucinations and the strange face on Prat's face combined with the altogether incoherent ramblings of the young Aamon Mat's blood ran chill. Holy crap had he poisoned them! The fear constricting him like a snake he found himself adrift in an endless storm of thoughts that all barraged him at once sending him into a spiral quicker than he could concentrate. Each thought fought for his attention demandingly but one kept replaying gradually gaining traction and volume every second, he was going to jail to the Azkaban that Aamon had feared and every one had talked about with hushed whispers and deadly fear. That's where the young snake was going to end up if he managed to survive that was, would any of them survive. By the end of the night he was either to be buried murderer or imprisoned attempted murderer neither of which being a beneficial nor appealing option.

Calm, it had to radiate from him. He had to summon it no matter what so he did the only thing that was ever guaranteed to work and brought the amber ring to his mouth begging the universe to connect himself to her. With a small breath of relief it started to soothe his rapid heart but only barely, only enough for logic to push through. There were very little poisons that left physical traces and more over if someone had wanted him dead surely any other means would be more strategic. After all there was no guarantee that Matthew would have drunken the bottles himself, no poison was not the aim of the particular crime. Pulse calming with the reliable certainty that it was unlikely to be poison he catalogued his brain effectively enough to decide on a new path. He would collect the mystery ingredient and study it in class the next day. It was a risk move but he had to trust his hypothesis. Lost in thought he didn't notice as he completely walked into a girl who had just entered the room.

The brunette girl he knew to be called Mellani was one he had seen around at the headliner meetings but never spoken to and although he was a frazzled mess curls jutting out in every direction he managed to shake his mind off when her words struck him. Her voice a sweet tone she seemed somewhat confused as to what she was entering into and it tugged at Matthew's smile. With a forced smile that gently took in the girl before him he pointed towards his empty spot in the circle and with as much warmth as he could summon given his panic said, "It's spin the bottle, no one's ever too late you can take my seat." Before his mind could flush with more complicated feelings he found himself rushing off to his bedside desperate to collect the specimens now before they could disappear or do something magical. Who knew with this school, you couldn't ever trust anything.

Reaching the bedside table he poured the tiny drops of cider left onto the mahogany wood leaving the remains of whatever ingredient had been added stuck to the bottom coated in the sticky alcohol. Whomever had done this had added the ingredient a while ago as they were shrivelled beyond compare and affixed to the bottle regardless of what he did to fix it. Sharpening his intellect in a strain against the drunken state he had left himself in his mind flashed with brilliance as the spell entered his mind. Levelling his wand on the vial he incanted "Quarzicum" watching as the glass vial instantly transfigured itself to sand in a pile of yellowish cream dust he would brush down the back to the desk. Now able to reach the dotted fragments he picked them up and examining it under his eye he noticed a seedlike quality to them. Perhaps he would require a trip to herbology rather than potions. Smelling it for any scent he was met with a light floral touch but the cider stain on them had overwhelmed him from gaining anything further.

Still worried that at the very least he had unintentionally spiked the group of misfits he found some comfort in the relief that there were very little seeds he knew of that were lethal. Perhaps they were fire seeds after all the cider did burn more than expected, whatever the explanation he wasn't going to find out tonight but he couldn't help but watch the room as it was devolving into snogging chaos with trepidation. Matthew while not innocent hadn't been the one to actually spike the brews so the question remained, who had?

MODERATION

As the seemingly endless spinning finally came to an end, I mean seriously was it enchanted or something, it landed on the first victims one @Prat Pass and @Nabi Park. Never one to turn down a challenge despite his heart not being in it and his head being an entire mess with hallucinations of his grandfather coercing him into shame he closed his eyes and went towards Nabi in the hope it would be quick and painless. Neither of which were to be the case as the quick thinking girl used some of that signature Slytherin cunning to formulate a plan. Grabbing Zeno who was rendered feral by the force she watched as the cat dug fierce claws into his face scratching luckily just below the eye but still leaving a mark and a nasty cut. Decidedly unpainful. Apologetically @Archer Duncan, who had joined the group after Matt's prodding, took Mr Zeno back who instantly flopped into a furball in his familiar touch before being supplied with a small glass of firewhisky by Matthew desperate to give the boy anything he could to help ease the pain. Ms Park also apologising for her actions but relieved in saving herself from a potentially disappointing drunken first kiss, a relief that seemed shared by the pair.

After his drunken disaster paranoia convincing him of a secret undercover inside job @Saudners Napier stumbled his way towards the group trying to warn someone but as he approached he was distracted by the distasteful display of Colin's kissing. Disgust writhing slightly in his stomach he watched at the edge of the circle not wanting to be dragged into the madness but dragged he would be. @Claire Lewis having relieved her senior friend Colin of his flask had begun to consume the liquor and was now quite enjoying the spectacle going on in front of her wondering if she would find herself as a victim or perhaps even a willing participant for some of the cuter boys. Speaking up to Saunders she convinced him to join piquing at his curiosity even though the idea rather pickled in his mind as off-putting. Let us hope that in this case curiosity would not in fact kill the cat as the feline mafia were not to be trifled with.

As the bottle picked up motion once more this time it would more quickly fall upon the fresh faces of @Aamon Athanatos and @Claire Lewis, the latter immediately jumping on the opportunity moving towards the boy in her curious pyjamas. Aamon's tolerance or more specifically lack there of was very clearly showing from his badgering on about cats and with Claire's addition to the feline conversation he found himself even more confused. Ramblings of cats, his father and the constant buzz of tipsiness he found himself panicked in a state of anxiety despite the room being almost entirely far too drunk to notice. Defiant of his father's summation of himself he summoned a surge of alcohol induced confidence and firmly placed a kiss right on the girl... on her head. Endearing as ever was the young lad.

After his conversation with Archer and having drunk a little less over the last while focusing on setting the mood, Matthew had managed to dull the euphoria from the high energy electric storm to a nice chill buzz. It sobered his mind just enough to realise he had no interest in being a part of this game and so calculated he had grabbed the firewhisky that should have been intended for his potion brewing giving him the ease to move around the circle never still to where the bottle could reach him. Disappointingly the necessity for the firewhisky presented itself almost immediately as @Prat Pass and @Elisa Shakestra were chosen by the bottle. Cleary proving the inanimate object to be some kind of deviant the rest the players all unanimously decreed that its wishes hadn't needed to be adhered to this time. Summoning a small flask more akin to a shot glass he poured the cousins each a shot and watched as the fire ripped through their throats with a bitter quality to the liquid that fought to come back up. Proving their families strength both managed to hold their own but for how long could such heavy drinking last.

The beginning of the game seemed to act as a catalyst pulling in more attention to the room with the hilarity and chaos that has spilled loudly out into the corridor. Enhanced by the burst of lights, flowers and bubbles @Colin McCoire had summoned the Regulus Dorm room was quickly filtering in with fresh faces and with the door no longer spouting a gentleman only sign thanks to @Cass Ito it seemed that the room had become a magnet for snakes of all genders. Finally pulling himself away from @Ava Winchect with some cringe inducing remarks, that made the entire group thankful he wasn't a prefect, they lingered in a stare. The two had shared so much history but it was time for the game to continue after all there was a chance the bottle would favour them and have it happen all over again! Welcoming the new presence of @Nora De Carie who sat next to Ava ready to play. After the shot ran down Prat's throat, who was still struggling with the words of his grandfather despite the shadowy figure disappearing, he was momentarily distracted by the welcome of @Remedy Norden ensuring her that it was not at all too late and welcoming into the fray.

That left only one final player remaining, @Mellani Miller who was welcomed by Matt himself having almost bumped into her while walking away from the group. With a forced gentle smile he pointed her towards his now open spot looking worried and removed from the situation. With the group now leagues bigger the stakes could only get higher as the bottle would once again descend on a fresh set of victims. With the night continuing on its drunken craze many of the members that had been drinking for some time to become quite drunk and even hallucinate the cider supply was beginning to dry up with only the hidden bottle of Elisa's as the last full bottle. A quarter remained in Claire's but the rest of the group were now beginning to feel agitated about the dwindling supply that was left. Of course the firewhisky was there but Matthew seemed intent on keeping it to himself only pouring when necessary and handing the shots over never the bottle. With the lack of alcohol remaining in Prat and Aamon's flasks their hallucinations would begin to die down but they were remained high on the glorious buzz of the god's ichor.

The bottle in this game was probably rigged.

Aamon was still reeling from his last deeply questionable decision when the bottle moved again. It spun on its central axis, and it landed on the same duo - Nabi and Aamon, just this time they were one another's partners.

While the bottle had stopped, the room continued to spin slightly. He focused his attention downward—at the bottle—he definitely saw it stop. And it was pointing at…

Nabi.

Aamon blinked.

The pretty but grumpy girl that sort of reminded him of a less evil doll. She had not tried to kill him (yet) so that was an immediate improvement, nor did she steal his face. He knew her name and something about quidditch. His attempt at flirting that day went as well a duel with his own reflection after mistaking it for an intruder would have went. This was going to end in embarrassment or tears, wasn't it?

Okay. Okay. He could do this.

He was getting the hang of this game.

Sort of.

Maybe.

Aamon was not going to overthink it this time. No head kisses. No weird pauses. No panicked brain spirals. He was just going to—

Wait.

His thoughts derailed immediately as something came crashing back to him.

Nabi had already been involved in a kiss.

A kiss that had, if he was remembering correctly, ended in bloodshed. He looked over at Prat's beautiful yet painfully bloodied face. It was apparently Prat's fault for having a face...

Aamon had a face too!

Panic eclipsed any juvenile excitement. His eyes snapped to her, then darted toward the real culprit of that disaster—

The cat.

Aamon’s entire body visibly hesitated.

“Wait.” He blinked at her, serious. “Am I going to get beat up by a cat?” He asked, so she had to answer right?

His gaze quickly scanned the area, as if a vengeful feline might be lurking in the shadows, waiting to strike.

Because if he was going to do this, he needed to know his odds of survival.

But then—he shook his head, forcing himself back on track.

Focus.

You are a man on a mission.

He straightened up, cleared his throat, and grinned at her.

“No cat?” He gave her exactly one moment to answer.

Then—before anything else could go wrong—he leaned in to kiss her.

Atlas had just completed the Professor Fresnel's Charms homework, which included a few enjoyable and simple questions. Unlike The Defense of the Dark Arts, Charms seemed to be the unicorn side of magic, and it was. Charms was one of his favourite subjects to study in school. The young Slytherin kid decided to take a brief shower after finishing his homework in order to refuel and prepare for tonight's events. In actual fact, these parties never end well but Slytherin and chaos? Oh, they were like peanut butter and jelly—meant to cause delightful mayhem together from day one!

As he left his room, he heard a bustling dormitory full of students going about their own business or lighting each other on fire. Who knows? The sneks were extremely erratic in all of their conceptions. He inhaled and exhaled as he saw other students enter the room. Although Atlas wasn't particularly antisocial, he did become anxious when he had to approach people or even go to gatherings.

When the young slytherin lad slid the room open, he was welcomed by the sound of voices chatting and by the sight of faces he recognised, which he waved at. He approached a group of people he knew, and they were engaged in a well-known game among muggles. He hoped he was never too late because it was intriguing, and it appeared the first round had already begun.

"I hope its not too late to join this?" He whispered in the ear of a girl, who happened to be his prior Quidditch teammate, with whom he had been benched with during the games.

This seems fun...

Players or victims had been doing their turns.

Nabi remained seated in her spot, listening to others giggle and whisper about the events the game had brought forth; her mood was still light. Like the others, she watched the bottle spin, waiting to see who the next victim would be. She had gone earlier, the young Prat left with a rather disappointing result with the cat scratching his face.

Surely, she would not go again... right?

If only the game worked that way.

The bottle had stopped, and the rim pointed at her for the second time tonight. Her eyes widened slightly. Again? Nabi was unsure of what to do; she had used the cat excuse already, and she was not planning on using the cat.

She had learned her lesson.

Then she realized who she was to kiss, her gaze turning to look at him...

Aamon.

As Nabi looked at him, a small hum escaped her, noticing how deep in thought he was, What is he thinking about? With a slight tilt of her head, she recalled what he did when he had gone earlier, Is he going to kiss my head as well?

She was going to speak when she noticed his hesitance, she was about to suggest she'd take a shot of firewhiskey. "Wait. Am I going to get beat up by a cat?" Nabi raised an eyebrow, no?, a small laugh escaped her as Aamon seemed to scan for any possible feline that could be used as a weapon. As he straightened up and smirked at her, she remembered something.

Her father always said one should always expect the unexpected...

"No cat?"

Nabi was still looking at him, "no?"

But how was she to expect what he would do?

Her eyes widened as he leaned in to kiss her, her first kiss. Nabi felt her heart skip for a moment, surely it was just from the shock...right?

Where was the butterfly with a broken wing?

The kiss ended, her face felt warm, and suddenly the room felt small— the air tense. She had forgotten about the onlookers who surely must have been oooing and ahhing.

The night developed drastically different from what she had expected it to and for the first time she stuttered a bit, "Y-you...kissed me..."

Her mask had taken a hit— the stutter did not help, yet she seemed to have solely focused on him.

And his smile...
