New Day
Lamik entered the Library, visible bags under his eyes. He had spent the entire night sitting in Gryffindors common room, wondering whether or not things would turn out ok. A few days earlier he had been formally excepted into the group that called itself the Order of the Dawn, and while Lamik was happy about it, the very nature of the whole situation filled him with unease. Still, Lamik wasnt about to back out after finding people who agreed with his worries. James, the founder of the Order, had instructed him to enter a specific study room in the Library that acted as a temporary common room and meeting room for its members. Walking through the expansive room, he spotted the door that he was meant to go through and walked up to it.
Entering into the small room, Lamik couldn't help but feel some of the tension alleviate. It was surprisingly cozy, and the boy could already picture himself spending quite a bit of time sitting on the floor or on a chair and reading a book, or drawing on the blackboard on the far wall. He also wondered how often others spent time there- Lamik didn't even know the amount of people in the order. He never really bothered to ask.

New Day
Elzabeth had been in search of her quill all morning. It was a special one with a colorful feather at the end. Her father had gifted her before she had gotten to Hogwarts as a sort of good luck, so finding it was a top priority at the moment.
After tearing through her trunk and her bookbag and leaving a mess in her dorm room she would have to go back to later, she had concluded that she must have left it in the Library after the meeting.
Elzabeth had her hair up today, not wanting to deal with its frizziness after her already stressful predicament. The weather didn't seem to agree with her long hair and more than a few times she had considered chopping it all off.
"Fathers going to kill me!" She muttered, walking into the room. At this point, another boy was already in there, but Elzabeth had her eyes trained on the desk she had sat at, not even realizing he was in there.
She grasped the desk, looking inside and at the floor around it. To her relief, she had spotted the feathered thing on the floor next to a pile of books. "Yes!" She cheered, quickly stuffing it in her bag.
Just as she turned around though, her gaze had landed on the boy, scaring her half to death. "Oh my god!" She jumped, putting her hand over her heart. "I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there." Elzabeth was slightly out of breath from the scare and more than a little embarrassed.
She really needed to pay attention to her surroundings, one of these days someones going to really get her if she isn't careful.

Lamik thought about saying something as soon as the girl entered. She was obviously a stranger, and unfortunately, there was no way of telling if she was part of the Order. He decided against asking once he realized that she hadn't noticed him, and with an amused (and slightly confused) smile, Lamik watched her walk through the room. She seemed to be somewhat stressed out, and since there seemed to be no other reason to rush into a room in a hurry, Lamik had to assume that she was looking for something. His suspicions were proved correct when she picked a fancy quill up and made a delighted remark.
Lamik was just about to make himself known when the girl noticed him herself. To say that she was surprised was a bit of an understatement- the boy couldn't help but worry that her heart had decided to stop working after the she clutched onto it for dear life. "What in the world are you apologizing for?" Lamik asked, confused. "I'm the one who scared you!" Lamik took a step towards her with his hand slightly outstretched, as if afraid to approach. He relaxed after realizing that she was all right though, and gave a little wave. "Hello."

Elzabeth smiled, letting her hand drop from her chest. She felt a bit silly for acting that way, but he seemed to find it amusing which was a relief to Elzabeth.
"Hi" She giggled. "My names Elzabeth, I'm usually not that jumpy." Elzabeth walked towards the guy, tucking her hands behind her back. She was slightly shy when it came to new people which seemed to be a disadvantage at Hogwarts seeing as there were so many students.
The boy was undeniably handsome and he looked to be older than her, although by his robes she could tell he was a Griffindor which sort of worried Elzabeth. The last few experiences she's had with a Griffindor weren't all that good.
Maybe Elzabeth was just scared because of Savannah, the last thing she wanted to do was judge someone based on their house. After all, just because Savannah was a rude girl didn't mean all Gryffindors were the same way.
"Why are you in here if you don't mind me asking?" This room was usually where the Order meets up when they needed to discuss things so either he stumbled upon it or someone directed him here.
Surely if they had gotten a new member The Order would have told her?

Still smiling, Lamik decided to introduce himself. "I'm Lamik Fillestar, and I'm also, usually, not that jumpy." To Lamik, the remark seemed funny before he said it. It also seemed funny after he said it though, so everything was ok on his end. Based on his astute observational skills that in no way involved looking at the color of her robes, Lamik noticed that the color of her robes signified that the girl was a ravenclaw. He didn't recognize her, so she could have been one of the first years, but if he was being honest, Lamik knew that he wasnt familiar with enough Ravenclaws anyways. The one that he did know... He knew too well for his taste, though just being near Kaegen Deathmote would count as knowing him too well in Lamiks books.
The boy was just about to ask about the quill, but before he could, Elzabeth (whose name he assumed that he had misheard, so he thought it was Elizabeth) asked a question of her own. "Well, Elizabeth..." He said, not entirely sure how secretive James would want Lamik to be. "Some friends of mine... James, Gem, and Charlotte are there names... I'm meant to meet them here."

"It's actually Elzabeth kinda tricky I know. But, I do remember them talking about you now that you mention it." Elzabeth nodded. James had brought Lamik up, it was all really confusing so Elzabeth wasn't too sure what all went down but she was sure Lamik wasn't all that bad if he has referenced James and Gem as friends.
"Did you plan on meeting them here now? I don't want to intrude on something." Elzabeth was sure she would hear more about the conversation from James later but right now the last thing she wanted to do was be labeled as nosey. She picked at a loose thread on her cloak sleeve, talking to people always made her nervous but she hoped it wasn't too obvious.
First impressions always mattered, no matter what other people would tell you, so Elzabeth was worried she would come off a bit odd to Lamik. Too many kids already thought she was weird back home so Elzabeth knew first hand what could happen if people started to think someone was different.
She thought Hogwarts was supposed to be different though, and it is, except now she gets called out for being a mutt. Someone who had a Wizard and muggle parent. Elzabeth then realized that no matter where you go, someones going to pick something different from you and use it to cause harm. If there was no escaping it, the best someone can do is just ignore it.

"Oh. Elzabeth? Really? Sorry!" Lamik said quickly, some semblance of surprise visible on his face. He had never met anyone who was named Elzabeth. Then again, there were probably tons of names that he wasn't familiar with, so the thought didn't stick too long. "Elzabeth it is."
Lamik took a bit of a sharp intake of breath when Elzabeth said that she had overheard James, Gem, and Charlotte talk about him. This implied that she knew them, which made Lamik think that he could be a bit less secretive. "Well..." He started, unsure exactly how to continue. "I'm actually not going to be meeting them here- or at all, really. James just told me this was where they hung out. In fact... Well I don't think calling them friends would be truthful. I met them once." Lamik was pretty embarrassed admitting that he had lied- even if it was for what he assumed was a good cause, but it felt good to tell the truth. Then again, he still wasn't telling her the whole truth. Because of that, he asked: "Are you one of them?" Lamik hoped that Elzabeth would understand that he was talking about the Order of Dawn.

Elzabeth was a bit wary to admit it but she nodded anyway. "I suppose I am." Although she didn't really know Lamik, he seemed like a good enough person to tell. "Were you going to meet them today?""Are you one of them?"
Elzabeth hadn't heard of meeting up today but between the awful morning and the stupid quill fiasco, she could see how she could have missed the news. The thought that they may have wanted to meet him alone on purpose crossed her mind. "I don't want to seem like I'm intruding."
Elzabeth always found herself over worrying about stuff like that, most of the time she worried for nothing but it was better to be safe than sorry in her book. Her mother often said that which is most likely where she got the whole attitude from in the first place.
Sometimes the mindset could cause Elzabeth some more stress than needed which is awful and probably needs to stop but it was just the way she was, self-destructing and all.
Elzabeth continued to mess with the loose string, if she didn't stop soon she would end up making it worse than it would be if she had just cut it off.

Lamik shook his head as he eyed her hand pulling at the string. "No. I wasn't exactly truthful about that either. James just told me that this was where you guys hung out, and I figured I'd come check it out." Lamik could only assume that eventually they would conduct meetings here, but currently it just seemed like somewhere that the order used as a lounge. "Even if we were meeting though- you wouldn't be intruding. You seem fun to be around."
The boy pulled up a chair and positioned it so that it's backrest was facing Elzabeth. Sitting down on top of it, facing towards her, he asked a question that had been on his mind for quite a bit. "What are they like?" He said a hint of worry in his voice. "The Order- is it good? Are they good people?" He assumed that Elzabeth would say that they were. She was part of that Order, and Lamik couldn't think of a reason for that if she didn't like it. The question still seemed right to ask though, because on the off chance that she didn't say that things were good, Lamik would know to get out of there.

Elzabeth was curious as to why Lamik had lied but she didn't have the time to question it before he had moved on.
"Thanks, you seem fun too." She said meekly.
Savannah had said things few have ever agreed with, and to add onto that mess she seemed like she was a bit of a mean girl. It still hurt Elzabeth when she thought about the name Savannah had called her during their argument. Mutt. Why should she ever be ashamed with her bloodline?
"We want to protect and help people, every single one of us. I hope you do too." Elzabeth bit the inside of her cheek. "It's not right that some kids live in dread or fear here at Hogwarts, especially since its such a wonderful place. I just want those kids to see that again." Elzbaeth thought back to a few of the kids she had met that had seemed fed up with Hogwarts or scared of some of its students, no one deserved that.

Elzabeth didn't even need to think about the answer before it was coming out of her mouth. "They're amazing people, all we want to do is keep the school safe, keep people safe." The whole reason the Order had been created was out of concern for others safety."The Order- is it good? Are they good people?"
