Luna wondered to herself if this duel would take forever. The answer that came to her mind was, probably. Luna quietly looked at Palmer's spell easily hit the other Slytherin guy. Well, the only way that guy could dodge that spell was by pure luck, which wouldn't happen in Luna's thought. Maybe because he was floating in the air and not used to that, so his spell also missed.

She also noticed something pretty interesting. The blue hair girl dodged the incoming spell from Nico very easy and quick as if she knew where it would hit. This girl had to be pretty good at dueling then...

As the girl managed to dodge her attack, Nico was unphased. Especially after the girls counter statement. It was bold of her to assume that the dhampir was interested in her past.

'Oh? These things actually matter to you? I expected a bit more from you, I'm kinda disappointed now.'

Nico shrugged and noticed how a spell flew past her from the partner of the green haired girl. How amusing. Her partner possibly felt left out.

'Dan.. I think Landon is losing interest... Maybe hit him again.' Nico smiled warmly with a nod at her partner.

Nico's eyes stayed cold and rest on her main opponent at this point. She couldn't dodge forever.

Elegantly, Nico aimed her want at the green haired girl and spoke softly: 'Flipendo.'

Dan smirked as the spell nailed Landon. That would eat away at his aim, and eventually overtake him completely. Dan knew that way too well.
Interestingly, Landon turned his attention AWAY from Dan and onto Nico. Huh.
Time for phase two. Dan went into the duel with Arc without an actual plan, thinking they would just have fun and react. Arc had a plan, and it ended predictably. This time though, Dan had a plan.
Flourishing his wand, he pointed at Landon, and spoke dramatically.

"Indendio!"

When Dan’s spell hit, Landon had a serious case of sneezes that lasted nearly a minute before he was able to collect himself - though still afloat in the air. It wasn’t looking too good for him - but he was grateful he still had Elena at his side.

Deciding to continue his pursuit is bringing down Nico, he pointed his wand at her again. Hoping this time his spell would hit, he waved his wand in the air and pointed at the girl as he shouted out loud, “Rictusempra!”

Elena had felt the shot the moment before it hit, and the world blurred as her body took the counter-measures of its own accord. This is the life of a seer huh...

"Look you've got me all wrong here, it's not about my past or talking about it or anything, it's a critique of your duelling banter. I gave you a great opening with We Didn't Start The Fire!"

"For example... I'm still standing! Better than I ever did, looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid." Elena flipped her wand.

She aimed at Nico, "Incendio."

More burning? That was the only question on her mind when she saw the red light and the green light appeared from the tip of Palmer's and Jones' wands. How funny Merlin could be, the two Slytherins who didn't use the Fire-Making Spells failed with casting it.

The tip of Storm's wand lighted up a bit, but then it disappeared right after. Nico was much worse, her wand didn't react after the girl cast the spell. How unlucky for them.

Storm was quite unlucky in this duel, Luna realized. She didn't think his skill was bad, however, luck was also a strength and he didn't have it today, she assumed.

Based on the fact Storm was still floating in the air, Palmer's spell easily hit him. It didn't take to long for the floating guy's collar started burning. However, it was not a big flame, she didn't think it would hurt him too much.

On the other hand, Nico's situation was much worse. It made sense since Storm was hit by Incendio and Nico was hit by Incendio Duo. Her outfit once again started burning.

She could hear some of the people in this room screamed. Luna had no idea if they did it because they were scared of the fire or because they were exited, and she didn't care about it. The thing was, she wondered if the duelists would feel more excited after hearing the scream?
Dan casts the Fire-Making Spell. Spell successes and hits.

The flames were back. And they started to hurt more. Nico was getting tired of this. She bit her lip and did her best to not seem affected by the flames. This was nothing...

Pinching one eye closed, she looked up at the lucky slytherin. That was all it was. Luck.

'Quoting songs doesn't add anything. It's too easy.' She chuckled.

Taking a deep breath, Nico calmed down and aimed the wand at herself. Softly she spoke the words: 'Extinguo'.

Landon’s spells were just not hitting and with him now aflamed - he had to take a different approach. He pointed his wand to himself and whispered through gritted teeth ” Extinguo.” Hoping to extinguish the flames that are at his sleeves, Landon narrowed his eyes at his two opponents.

He was beginning to worry but despite his anger and frustrated, he didn’t want to resort to senseless retorts. Instead he looked at Dan and gave him a half smile. “Nice shot. “

It hit. Another bunch of time used, and Landon would have to put it out instead of attacking Nico. Dan smiled. This duel was going SO much better than the last one.

When Landon complimented him, he smiled back at him. "Thanks."

Dan could tell that he was getting frustrated. Dan decided that Landon could use something to smile and laugh at.
Flourishing his wand, he pointed it at Landon again.

“You say it doesn’t add anything but neither does that thing you were doing with the chilling laughter.” Elena countered, “Also, We Didn’t Start The Fire is a classic! Speaking of classics... I’m still standing after all this time! Picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind. I’m still standing, yeah yeah yeah.”

Elena flipped her wand and aimed at Nico, “Flipendo!”
