Each student cabin would have a chaperone with a separate bedroom from the students, the ratio being eight students to one adult. There would be four bunk beds in each cabin as well as a main living room area for students to study in, hang out or just to have fun. For any adults that joined the Valentines' Day festivities, they would have a smaller cabin to themselves with a bedroom and a living area, about a quarter of the size of the student cabins or they can request a group cabin for just adults as well

xxxWhile the first theme was underwater and the second was the beach, this theme would be based in the forest. The moment one entered a cabin with this theme, one would be able to hear the gentle pitter patter of rain falling in a forest. And if one looked out the clear window, students and adults alike would see a lush green forest filled with tall trees that formed a light canopy. Every once in a while, if people stared outside observantly they would see creatures native to the forest that was recreated. Perhaps they could see a squirrel, or colourful birds, and perhaps even a moose. A person familiar with forests may be able to identify the view as one from the North American continent. The fog would phase in and out throughout the week the students were there. The living room would be warm and cozy, with a fireplace, as well as a beautiful rug that filled up the place. There would be multiple couches as in the other themes, although they would be dark and brown and black to fit the foggy forest scene. The dining room table would be made of stained wood and fit all eight members of the cabin together, where they could play games, study, or even eat a snack they brought from Beauxbatons' dining hall. There would also be a square coffee table made of wood as well. The bedroom would feel homey and rustic, as if one was camping in a wood cabin up north. The view of the forest would still be visible and the columns and roof of the bedroom would be shaped like a tree trunk. Bunk beds would line the opposite wall so that the view of the forest would be visible from every bed, but at night time the curtains would cover the windows so that people could sleep without the disturbance of light. This cabin would have candle holders the shape of a small cottage in each of the rooms for light at night.

Using his time during winter break to see every single possible online videos on how to get over a breakup, reading articles on healing a broken heart, and many crying sessions with only confused stray cats to be his witness had led him here: A valentines day themed trip. And every step of the way he wasn’t sure exactly what or why he was here. He spent most of his break cooped up in his room that had him conclude that different methods had to be tried once school started again.

The more difficult parts of his break-up was not being able to forget how different general school life was without Yami. Whether it be classes, meal time, or even just walking the hallways. Its like even when Yami had officially parted for his space, he still felt so near. Like a ghost from a time Sara wanted nothing more than to go back to. But that was all there was to it. A longing that shouldn't be sated.

At the very least it was easy enough to request a roommate change as silently as he could. Sara hadn’t talked to him properly since the last ball. Unfortunately, he’d bet that no words needed to be said for Yami to know that Sara had been drastically affected from the ruin of their relationship. Even if Sara was never good at hiding anything from anyone, Yami also knew him too well. The same couldn’t be said vice versa.

It was only the start of February that Sara felt he could somewhat breathe in the same room as Yami. That small win was enough to have him sign up for this event. Even if his stomach churned after finding out Yami was going too, it was a big event. And a whole new school. What were the chances they’d ever see each other? This was a good opportunity for him to expand his horizons, meet new people, and just..hopefully, made him feel whole again.

That was the mindset he had when arriving in Beauxbatons. Not that he could … really enjoy the view the first time. ‘Newyearnewmenewyearnewmenewyearnewme’, he thought to himself as the trip started. Underestimating how his mood would be during the process of travel. Once landed on the ground, he was really only concerned with getting to what he assumed was safe, and calm down his anxiety.
Yami would’ve known how to help.
He was quick to arrive in the tent. Too quick, actually. Considering he was the first one there. Taking his shoes off and setting it near the entrance neatly before he continued inside. He picked the first bunk bed he found and placed his bag on the floor nearby. The first thing he reached and pulled out was this.

Bless magical backpacks for being able to fit in so much. He sat on his chosen bed, feeling his heart race. The light trembling of his hands didn’t deter him from hugging the plushie like it was his lifeline. He closed his eyes for a moment to focus on the flow of his breath and calming down.

Dennis finally arrived. He had packed light, too light. He packed his dress robes in case he needed them, his school uniform, and one set of casual clothes. It was his first time out of the country and didn’t believe in packing everything he owned, even if what he owned was little more than what he already packed. A simple duffle bag with everything rolled up into a ball sufficed for him. Dennis dressed comfortable for the trip, his Ravenclaw sweater and gray jeans and white tennis shoes.

Entering the tent, it looked comfortable enough, kind of like camping. He really liked the cabin-in-the-woods esthetics. He had a look around before finding the bunk beds. He found someone quite old seeming to have a really hard time in one of the bottom bunks. It looked like he might be constipated. Poor fellow. Dennis felt sorry for the pain and as he passed by he gave him a “you should probably drink more water…” Not wanting to bother him too much, the ginger took the top bunk of the furthest bunk bed from the old timer. When he had bathroom problems, Dennis also wanted to be left alone.

With the bunk claimed with his duffel bag on top, Dennis went to the living space and plopped down on the couch and waited for the others to come in. What wonderful new friends would he make? For those who came in, Dennis would greet them with his boyishly charming smile and a “Hi! Welcome to the happiest cabin ever! I’m Dennis! Nice to meet you!” And would offer to shake the hand of anyone willing or interested before letting them get settled on their own.
Action: if you would like, Dennis will greet your character and then let them get settled by themselves - what a friendly lad!

Seeking solace in the joy and romance-filled Valentine's week of the Beauxbatons Academy, Kanae lugged her trunk along the winding path, hoping the distance would finally drown out the whispers of guilt that haunted her. Just a month ago, the thirteen year old's eyes were brimming with infectious enthusiasm but now they were a dull blackish-brown with seemingly no thought behind them. But she thought a lot about Kazumi and a lot of those thoughts were memories. Some reminded her of life before what happened, many were sharp and painful, and the majority faded into a hazy melancholic fog that seemed to follow her everywhere.

The trio of words "If only I-" or the duo of "Damn it" invaded her head regularly. Would things be different if she didn't ask that of him? 'Why did I ask for him to get it when I could've retrieved it myself?' was a reoccurring sentence.

She promised to come to France. She promised to him a long time ago. Kanae was here to fulfill that promise. The shadows beneath her eyes deepened every day and her once glowing face has gotten ghost-like now compared to her old self. Despite that, she somehow still looked alright enough to be presentable in front of many people if she just put some makeup on. Though the look in her eyes told a different story. She tried her best to seem unbothered by her own guilt while walking towards her assigned cabin. There as a chance that people from her school would be there. She had to act normal. Normal as if nothing happened just 2 weeks before. Kanae put down her suitcases for a moment. 'Damn this is heavy' she thought, shaking her sore wrists while looking around. 'Ah, there it is'

Entering the wooden cabin, a flicker of light was in her eyes, her amazement with the interior almost getting her to forget her sorrow. 'Kaz would've loved this...' Keyword was "almost". God was she childish, she still sometimes got an extra plate for him during meal times back in Japan. She was even delusional enough to write letters to him as if he would ever be reading them. Maybe it was the grief or maybe she was just naive enough to gaslight herself somehow he'll read it someday in his next life.

The cabin was foggy like her own mind. Weirdly, she found a sense of comfort in it. Comfort... she hasn't felt that in a while, the cabin's name was "Cottage Comfort" so duh. For a forest theme, the interior fit in perfectly. The window view was peculiar yet amazing at the same time. While admiring the cabin's interior, she got jump scared by a disgustingly happy voice greeting her. Was that what she sounded like? Oh how much she changed within 2 weeks, it was almost sickening, especially to her own family. Kanae knew that they were all concerned for her to some extent (even the relatives she'd never met). Her personality at home completely 180-ed from kind, bubbly, and enthusiastic to a shell of a human being. Sure, sure she got a bit better but that was just because she was done denying it. Yeah, he died, that happened. But she was still coping.

Back to the voice that made her jump a bit. The red-headed boy reached out his hand for a handshake. Kanae blinked before snapping back to the awaiting conversation in front of her. After the incident she hated touching anyone, just the mere contact with skin haunted her of the coldness of Kazumi's hand. She just gave her signature smile while taking a step back. "Nice to meet you too!" she replied with enthusiasm. At least she had something to be proud of. Her English has improved drastically since the last time she got out of Japan.

Kanae noticed a rather familiar person sitting on their bed, hugging a plush. 'Kohana-senpai?' It was the Mahoutokoro quidditch team's beater. Of course, she knew him, she's on the team as well. Something told her to comfort him but at the same time, she knew she wasn't in the position to, especially considering the fact that they weren't that close. Another thing is that she was kind of intimidated though the plush was really cute.

After awkwardly walking away from the sunshine who's apparently named "Dennis", she set her things down on the bottom bunk of the bed second closest to the right. Kanae plopped her suitcase on her bed before sighing. "This'll be a long week..." she mumbled to herself.

OOC: 1:if i ever get to talk to kanae, i would be on my knees apologizing and begging for forgiveness. 2: kanae uses honorifics no matter how close they are to your character. As long as they know if youre theyre upperclassman/woman or older, she'll call you one. 3 the bed she chose is C2 ^^

Minnie was extremely excited for the weeklong trip. She was sure to have fun, even if they would still have to do school. A week in a french school, during a romantic time, was definitely going to be fun. She had packed her bags very thoughtfully, thinking about different things that could come up. Mostly, she just packed clothes and school stuff, but she also brought along a few things that could come in handy if she ever got bored.

Minnie took a calming breath before entering the cabin, as she didn't want to seem overexcited to her cabinmates. As she stepped inside, she gaped at the wonder of it all. The cabin was cottage themed, and seemed so perfect. The roaring fireplace gave a very cozy vibe, and the bunk beds reminded her of muggle camp movies she had seen with her family.

There were already a few people there, two boys and a girl. She took another breath and smiled, trying to appear friendly. "Hi! I'm Minnie, and it's so nice to meet you!" She said, a little more brightly than she would have liked, but not too over the top. The boy grinned at her and told her his name was Dennis, then extended his hand in a handshake. She shook it, liking how fun he seemed.

She spotted an open bed above the girl, and stepped closer to it. "Is it okay if I have the top bunk? I don't know if we should wait for everyone else to arrive before picking bunks." She walked next to the bunk she wanted, but didn't put her stuff on the bunk. She didn't want to seem rude after all. "I don't want to take anyone's dream bunk." She added, most likely failing at making a joke.

Roleplaying as Ginyami Midorimori from Mahoutokoro
"English | Japanese"
Like other Japanese students, Ginyami was no stranger to forests. In fact, his family name, 'Midorimori', literally meant 'green forest'. Not to mention the Midorimori family business was a chain of shops called 'Mahou no Midorimori' - also known in English as 'Magic of the Green Forest' - and the successful shops sold magical plants, herbs, and ingredients directly from a forest owned by the family. And, since they owned such a forest, Yami could take one look at the scene their cabin's windows presented them with and confidently say it was not any sort of forest he was familiar with. Different trees, different animals, different plants, and different overall feel altogether.

Just like that, the place was all wrong. The feeling was similar to when he had shared a tent with other Mahoutokoro students the previous summer, with bunks and even his childhood friend Sara Kohana nearby. But as with the forest setting, even while seeming superficially similar, the dynamic between him and Sara was entirely different. They were no longer in a romantic relationship, after all.

Despondent, Ginyami sat on the edge of the bed he had claimed and stared at a small potted plant in his lap. As he poked and prodded a flower on the plant, his gaze was distant, as if he wasn't really seeing it and his thoughts were elsewhere. He heard other students' voices around him, but he didn't quite register what they were saying. At least not until one of them seemed to speak to him directly as they passed and mentioned that he should drink more water.

"...Water?" he murmured absently in English, briefly looking up from his plant to see who had spoken. "...Why?"
