Whispering in the Aisles
@Swan MapleleafDelilah loved the library. Now that she knew how to get there, thanks to a certain Hufflepuff, she spent a lot of her free time there. She loved the silence that filled the many shelves and the warmth of the fire. It was especially nice on a rainy day, when she would curl up in a chair by the window and listen to the falling rain whilst reading.
Delilah could spend hours at a time reading, but sometimes she had to use the many books to study from or write an essay with. Other times, she just went to relax. She didn't read, just curled up and had a quiet chat with someone who was willing.
As she made her way down towards the fire, she noticed a girl with blonde hair and the familiar blue robes looking through one of her favourite books. Delilah made her way towards the blonde. "That's one of my favourites." She said in a soft whisper. It wouldn't be fun to have the librarian kicking her out for being too loud. That was the main rule after all, and the next was no eating. "Have you read it before?" She then whispered, nodding towards the book.

Whispering in the Aisles
Normally, Swan wouldn't really stop by the library for a simple read. Who would want to read when you could just listen to the soothing sounds of raindrops? Well, not many people would do that in Swan's experience. The library also contained lots of interesting books for students to study or read, read, and read, as long as they did follow the library rules. No student would ever say that being kicked out from the library was fun, for them at least.
Entering the library, she soon found a book that seemed very interesting. Opening it, she made sure to not disturb anyone in the library. What's a library if it was just plain noisy? Aren't they supposed to be quiet? It sure wasn't fun whenever reading your favourite book got interrupted by a bunch of noise, and say, add an angry librarian. And, there were lots, lots of rules to follow. Personally, Swan didn't mind, but it was a big, no, huge nuisance to other kids.
Swan was too caught up in the story to notice another Ravenclaw entering the library. She really appreciated the normal quiet, as for her, quiet places were some of the best places to read.
"That's one of my favourites."A silent whisper caught her off guard. Was it a ghost? A poltergeist? No, it was a Ravenclaw girl. What was her name again? Oh right, Delilah
"Have you read it before?" The other girl was trying not to anger the librarian."Yes, lots of times. But can you try to be quieter? I really don't want to disturb the librarian." Swan wasn't a rules addict, but she did not want to be told off.

@Swan MapleleafDelilah was usually pretty good at being quiet in the library, but sometimes the blonde got over excited. Especially when books were involved. Maybe that was stereotypical Ravenclaw, but she just loved reading and books. It was something she was passionate about, so every now and again she got a bit excited when talking about the objects, especially her favourites.
A red blush appeared on the girls cheeks. She thought she was being quiet, but obviously not enough. "Sorry, sorry." She said, a lot more quietly than before. Her cheeks were still flushed red as she went to speak again. "Would you maybe like to sit together?" She asked softly, not too sure on how the girl would reply.
They seemed to have gotten off on the wrong foot. Delilah had seen Swan in the common room, but she'd never spoke to her. Their paths just hadn't crossed until that moment in time and things hadn't gone too well. "I mean, we definitely don't have to..." The blonde assured her, shaking her head as she whispered. She bit down on her lip softly, reaching up to grab the book she'd come down to read. She then looked back at the other Ravenclaw, raising her eyebrows slightly.

Normally, it wasn't too annoying when someone was talking to you. It was kind of annoying when someone interrupted you doing your favourite thing. That did vary between a lot of people, but it was still annoying nonetheless. The librarian was kind of, no, very strict, and anyone caught breaking the library rules could, or would, get into serious trouble, or maybe detention. That was the bane of existence for some of the students, whether older or younger. Maybe teachers too. Their own type of detention.... Swan didn't know what to say about this, anymore. Maybe the teachers never got their own type of detention.
Delilah started blushing not from love, but embarrassment. Normally, most people would do that if they had made a mistake. But not when someone made a grave one. Okay, Delilah didn't make such a big mistake, but some other kids might. Her hand was trying to grab the book from her. They hadn't really introduced or met properly. The only time they saw each other was in the common room. Now that they have met properly, maybe Swan should introduce herself quietly, not knowing if the other girl knew her name.
"Uh, hi. My name is Swan Mapleleaf. You're Delilah Mallard, right? And sure, we can sit together if that's okay with you." Well, that was a whisper, anyway, so no worries.
