Sere didn't know what was happening in this round. Everything seemed so ambiguous, so bad and so perfect at the same time. One thing for sure, they seemed to be in a hurry, trying to outdo each other with the offensive spells they casted. The Gryffindor girl was about to say 'You guys were lose your focus' but that wasn't the point, 'you guys did pretty well' but not really, 'you guys were careless' but that wasn't entirely true.

This round was filled with almost absolute successes as well as absolute failure. Two Knockback Jinxes were casted well, She could see that Saunders casted it perfectly. The problems were in the next steps. Avis pointed her wand to 'who knows where', her Flipendo was totally a miss, but after that she managed to make up the miss with her ability, evading Saunders' perfect Flipendo with -also- perfect evasion.

"Last round. Please prepare your act- Oh, why do I always forget that you're still dancing." Sere folded her arms as she saw Saunders still tap dancing, even so he was able to cast a spell perfectly. "I hope the effect wears off in the next round." It would not be funny for him if he lost because his feet prefer to tap dance rather than cooperating with his body.

"Okay, final round. Start!"

Avis took a steadying breath as the two duelists raised their wands, each opponent in their sights. This was it. The final moments of the duel were just beginning and even though the past rounds had gone by rather quickly, the end seemed to roll around in slow motion. As adrenaline shot through her veins, Avis became hyper aware of everything going on around her: the sweat rolling down her cheek, the squeak of a random spectator’s shoe, the white of her knuckles clutching her wand in an intense effort not to lose it again. Her heartbeat echoed in her ear with fast thumps.

As the girl formed the incantation to her spell in her mouth, her eyes widened as she realized Saunders had managed to get his own Flipendo off first. Suddenly forced to multi-task, the Ravenclaw had no time to watch in dismay as she cast her spell uselessly into the wall, forcing a few lingering students to dash out of the way. Instead, she ducked and rolled to the side, somehow shooting back up to her feet as she dodged. Thank Merlin.

After dusting herself off and checking to make sure all her limbs were intact, Avis raised her wand once again with a shaking arm, wondering what the final round would bring and hoping she could somehow pull off a win for Maisie’s sake.
