Silva was in her happy place. She'd finished all her homework early, and had found the time to read her D&D book down in the library. She pulled it open to a section about resting and began reading. She'd gotten the book from one of her aunts and uncles over Christmas. When she'd first gotten it she'd just been confused, but now she was addicted. Who cares if it's a beginners manual? It's still awesome!

She skimmed through the section for a while before turning to the back page of the book and brainstorming names for her character. Angelica? No. Too human. Aeolus? No. Male and she was pretty sure it was the name of a Greek god. She began just sounding out random things. After all it couldn't be a name that most people would know about.

Something like Melinora. Nobody knew that last name. Actually, she really should ask her mother and father how her family got that name at some point. Didn't seem to fit their heritage, or race.

She kept sounding out words out loud and laughing at herself as they got more and more far fetched. She was having so much fun that she hadn't even noticed that there was someone else in the library. Oh well. Hopefully they didn't notice her.

Kora was spending her time lazily reading through her homework and doodling on a pit of scrap parchment, this was in fact exactly how she hoped to spend her day. Only a few minutes later she found herself listening to what could only be another student sounding out what were they? names, they had to be then out of the blue she recognizes the fantasy ring to them the mythical non humanness could this be? Did wizards have it? Well Kora had to find out.
Slowly she stood leaving her stuff by her seat before making her way closer to the voice, Once she had located the source she stood a few feet away staring at the book in her hands frozen with what could only be pure nerd excitement. Could it be a fellow DnDer no maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me or I’m dreaming she thought standing there rotted to the spot. Moments passes and carefully Kora moved to sit two seats down from the girl before asking,

“Are you trying to name your character?

hopping she hadn’t just sounded mad Kora continued

“I find that turning a normal name into Latin helps or sometimes just borrowing a name that is already there but it’s up to you really”

God could she sound any nerdier?
