Zipping through sky has always been fun, but nothing compared to this. Her thrill bubling up into a "Woo!" as she did a spiral, her grin might as well had ripped her face in half. Oh this was just beautiful. Keeping her head in the game, she took a quick overview of the situation at hand: neither of the seekers had retrieved - or even spotted, it seemed - the snitch. Everyone was still on their brooms. To give them some credit, their rival team had scored a few points, but the quaffle was mainly shooting through their own hoops. All from a hufflepuff girl named - assuming from their captain's prior enthusiastic cheer - Louisa @Louisa McStately. "Woo! You rock Louisa!" she gave her own cheer, palm cupped to the side of her mouth in an attempt to hike her volume up. Rolling her wrist, her bat following the motion, she looked around for the kind of ball that should've actually interested her - the Bludgers.

She caught note of one that was - unfortunately - in Oliver's @Oliver Armani way. She adjusted her grip on her own bat, trying to predict where he'll send it. To her surprise he knocked it behind him, hitting her fellow beater, whose name she didn't know yet. Still, she hissed at the impact, already on her way towards him, shooting a snarl Oliver's way, fighting as to not stick her tongue out at him too. Arrogant snake. Her poor teammate - Prat, according to what their captain called out - seemed to be a target to another beater from the other team, thankfully avoiding the attack this one.

By his side now, Sabrina didn't manage to get a word out before yet another bludger zoomed their way. Before she could even register it, something incredible happened - her and Prat both swung for it at the same time, the impact of both of their forces colliding with Oliver, pushing him off his broom. Although she wasn't fond of him, Sabrina didn't wish any harm upon the Slytherin boy. Still, that didn't stop a slightly satisfied smirk from forming on her face. A second later, the same bludger hit another boy from the opposite team - a considerably bigger pang of sympathy shooting through Sabrina this time. Facing Prat @Prat Pass properly, she beamed at him "Hi! My name is Sabrina, Sabrina Lyons, Brie for short-" she gave her usual introduction, omiting the handshake part cause- duh "- That was so awesome! Great hit."

In the role of Beater, if you hit an opponent with a bludger the bludger will then ricochet off that user and target a second opponent of choice (must be declared, if not declared the target will be random and can be an ally but not yourself).

Riposte
In the role of Beater, if an ALLY dodges a bludger during the round, there is a 20% chance that you catch that bludger with your bat and you send it at a RANDOM enemy target.

AEIOUSAThis was going pretty well for Prat so far. The first quidditch game with his entirely new broom was turning out to be one good game for the slytherin boy. He'd always been more inclined towards duelling or just letting his fists loose, however quidditch was fun now. Seeing as how he nearly got bludgered, Prat didn't wish to see that fate again, no time soon he'd hope. But the more the game continued the worse it was getting, managing to knock off oliver with Sabrina, Prat was quite content. Another obstacle gone, was all his thoughts contained for that matter. No celebration however, the job wasn't finished and they still had work to do. All of the Team 1 was doing exceptional work or atleast trying their best in whatever capability they could manage.

"Hi! My name is Sabrina, Sabrina Lyons, Brie for short-

"Hi Brie, i'm Prat, good aim" Prat smiled at the younger girl who'd managed to take down a beater from the opposite team. Now all Prat could hope for was Pierre picking up the pace and grabbing that snitch or atleast finding it. The senior man looked as if he had lost his children in a fair and seemed to know no way to find them. Prat wasn't judging, not his circus not his clown.

Tracey saw Ruth doing her penalty lap and saw Ruth's quick glance, but she paid it no mind. Tracey focused back on her real goal, which was to get the quaffle and pass it to @Janosch Dehoff so he could score some more points for their team, but as Tracey was trying her best to get the quaffle from the other team, it irritated her because @Louisa McStately wouldn't give them the quaffle and was too busy scoring points for her team.

Tracey still had hope that they'll win, but they had to score 4 to 6 more times in order for them to win. By the fact that she wanted her team to win, Tracey was more motivated to get her hands on the quaffle and pass it to her fellow chasers on her team, in order for them to score and win the game.

When there was a break in the action, Tracey scanned the area trying to see where the snitch is and trying to see who's seeker was closer, but she couldn't tell, and she decided to just continue focusing on what her job was, and hopefully she was doing a good job, but then again, it was her first quidditch game, but Tracey believed she was doing the best she could.

Saunders was now quite convinced that he was no fan of, nay, he thoroughly loathed Quidditch. Every point he missed, every manoeuvre he clumsily performed, and every buzz left behind by the other players as they flew past him at a frustrating speed was more than enough to strengthen his once-ungrounded distaste for the hellish game now became perfectly justifiable. Every particle around now was terribly busy to conspire to cement his disdain. So far it had been an experiment that had resulted in boredom and demoralisation. And Saunders did not expect a dramatic turn in the following minutes that would lead to the exact opposite results from this experiment.

The sky trembled with motion. Buzz, buzz! Boom, boom! A never-ending noise. A frenzied speed. And eyes, of every colour, squinting against the wind as sharp as a rusty blade. The Napier boy felt like jumping off his broom. But Jan was the captain, and his loyalty (that most insidious of chains) to his mate prevented him from being a spoilsport. Yet it was almost impossible for Saunders not to frown and sulk when it sharply occurred to him that he could have opted out of the game, that he could, for example, be sipping a cup of tea above the safe and sheltered earth instead of flying through the air.

With the consciousness of a soldier determined to continue doing his duty, but with letters of resignation circulating in his mind, he kept flying.

Can he tell you all a secret? He's actually a little nervous. A good, exciting nervous that is.

He wasn't expecting to come up so early, and seeing how the previous player went- well, it stirred up a bit of anxiety.

And a whole lot of excitement.

He borrowed a broom from Janosch, and is feeling the slight hint of pressure. Only slightly, regardless. He was going to try his best out there. This is a few times that he's been fully lifted up in the air on a broom, he's not quite use to it yet, and every time he's airborne he gets this giddy feeling in his stomach. Haha, well hopefully he doesn't do something silly- like fall off, or collide with another team member!

Shaking off those feelings, he readjusts his glasses for the final time before pushing off the ground with somewhat ease, though wobbles a little when he thinks too much about it. He flies past their current keeper with a grin.

"Have fun!" He calls, giving a salute with one arm before flying into position. He will make no promises himself that he won't get severely injured- but he sure can say that he gave it a whirl, and may or may not do this again.

Truth be told, Ira couldn't help but feel useless at that moment, and that frustrated her beyond words. Where was that snitch anyways, for Merlin's sake?! She's been darting across the pitch for what seemed like forever, still scanning for it. Even so, she couldn't spot it yet, and her small consolation was Piérre couldn't either. Plus, the beaters also let her be momentarily, but she knows she can't be spared from their attacks always. She would have to seize it before it’s too late.

Her eyes shifted for a split second towards the scoreboard, and her face fell, and so did her confidence. Her team was trailing, and there was a thud echoing through the area. Someone took a hit from the bludger. Ira hoped it was an opponent player, but no such luck. For a fraction of a second, Ira stole a quick look in the direction only to see it was Oliver and winced when he fell off his broom. Just as she registered that, Jan was targeted, and Ira held her breath, but thankfully he held on to his broom, though the blow seemed to have taken its toll on him.

Clutching her broom's shaft, Ira continued all the while wondering if there was anything wrong with her eyes and if she should buy glasses. Then again, she never had vision problems during classes and such. Maybe she's not lucky enough. Maybe the snitch just hates her. "Come on, if you don’t despise me, show yourself, love!" It felt stupid to yell that, but she went through with it anyway.

| There was something unsettlingly familiar about scoring thirty points, losing ten points, and watching Maisie block another ten — different details, same story. It felt like déjà vu, as if Mamori had gotten stuck in some cosmic time loop.

At least Oliver's descent provided some fresh entertainment. The sheer force behind that double-hit made Mamori wonder if Oliver had managed to add their Beaters to his ever-growing list of detractors. Perhaps next time mate would consider watching his step and burning fewer bridges.

Speaking of Beaters, both teams had apparently attended the same strategic planning class, given their shared enthusiasm for targeting each other's Beaters. When Prat took that hit, Mamori let out a sympathetic "ouch" that may or may not have been followed by silent disappointment at the boy's frustrating ability to stay mounted. Really, how was he supposed to show off his saving capabilities if no one needed saving?

Though honestly, the opposing team's complete lack of someone on save duty bordered on hubris. Oliver might've avoided his early exit if someone had been there to catch him. Ha. See? Save duty — truly the noblest of positions.

Circling the pitch for what felt like the hundredth time, Mamori pondered the unique torments of being a Chaser. Unlike Keepers who got their nice and quiet viewing spots at the edges, Chasers were stuck in the chaos of midfield. The absurdly large pitch demanded endless pivoting — left, right, up, down, with enough full rotations to qualify as free physical therapy. Anyone with chronic neck problems should try it; one match would either fix them or finish them off. Not only did you have to track every Quaffle and Bludger in sight, but if you're on save duty you need to watch everyone's breath and movement, plus keep an eye out for blatching chances against the Seeker — which essentially meant monitoring every single player in the game. It took superhuman attention span — adding yet another point to save duty's noble cause, if anyone asked him.

Of course, this was all just rationalization. Mr. guardian angel had done exactly nothing this match, and without these mental gymnastics, he'd be embracing nihilism. If someone didn't fall off their broom soon, he might just have to do it himself out of pure boredom.

Louisa McStately’s smile couldn’t help widen a little more as she flew through the air, and scored a goal. The first year couldn’t imagine doing much better on her first match, and in truth she couldn’t wait to send home an owl. The Hufflepuff was undoubtedly getting ahead of herself, but the thrill of flying was going into her dreams of becoming a famous chaser for some national team.

Louisa took a small glance around the pitch as she played. Her mind was racing through the points of the game. All Louisa could bring herself to think of was that their seeker had to catch the snitch, because even if they were winning now, they wouldn’t be if the other team caught the snitch first. As she flew, trying to keep herself focassed, the young Hufflepuff thought that she might have heard a thunking sound of a bludger meeting it’s target. A small amount of relief crossed her features for if the first year didn’t approve of anything about Quidditch, it was certainly the dangers of the sport. She crossed her fingers for a split second, hoping that it was their beaters doing the bludgering, not the other team’s.

With a focussed and a surprisingly competitive look crossing her face, Louisa McStately tried to keep herself as dedicated to the game as she could be.!

The game continued, barely in her teams favor. Her team was able to score 10 points, but the other team had gotten 30. No problem, she just needed to keep her head in the game and try to help her team out. She saw one of the beaters on her team try to get a hit at one of the other teams beaters, they were able to stay on there broom, but Promise decided to try to get a hit at one of the players. She regularly would never have tried to injure anyone, but this was quidditch, and she was the beater, she couldn't let her team down.

She readied her bat hopefully as the bludger came her way, she took aim at the other teams beater, and just as the bludger came close enough, she swung with all her might. The bludger went rocketing towards the other player. It was going directly towards him, she thought it would hit him, but of course, he dodged, and evaded the hit. With her luck, she wouldn't be able to properly get anyone of there broom this match. She held her bat, closely watching for any other oppertunities to strike, but none came. Promise had to remember her goal and not get carried away like last time.
