Stand up straight.

Date: September 1st

"Well, i think i am meant to get on the train "
It was a cold day, for him at least. Flying with his parents, shopping things that he never imagined existed, and saying goodbye to the only normality he has known since his birth it´s a cold thought.
His mother looked at him with the most caring face, before giving him a kiss on the forehead and a little tap on the end of the back. "Stand up straight, son".
Aiker knows that´s the way his parents showed him love, by telling him how to be better and to be respected. His father, on the other hand was carrying his suitcases, one on each hand, and before putting them down, he looked at him and smiled. "Are you sure yo have everything, son? Your books, your clothes, your mother helped you, am i right?"

Aiker only could nod to him, his jaw was shaking again.
It´s all to soon, and he was so full of anger at the world. Why couldn´t his parents be like him, is he going to make the first year without their advice and presence?
As he looked as his parents once again, with tears in his eyes, the train make two very loud horns for the students to get up before it´s time to go. That was the last thing Aiker needed, to hurry up in this. So he hugged his mother and cry for a couple of seconds, letting go on her. "My little lake...We are going to be right here when you return, is that clear?"

He recognized the phase. The last name "Clearwater" has gave his family word games every now and then, but this one is special. That´s why they called him "Little lake " as well. So after a couple of seconds, he looked up at her and nodded.
"Clear like water, mother..." He smiled a little. "That´s it, son". Said his father after passing him his belongings.

The next minutes are a blur for him. He got on the train, sitting in an empty room, and as he looked at his parents look at him, his face got dry of tears, he was preparing mentally, and looking at them was a help. They looked at him with determined eyes, telling him that he is their son and he could do it.

As the train started moving, Aiker was alone on the seats of this little room for four. After the eyes of his parents were out of side, he closed his eyes and started humming "Bridge over troubled water" by Simon and Garfunkel. His parents used to sing to him that exact song before he was born, and even after, to help him sleep. His mother has the most beautiful voice to him, so it helped him get relaxed on the seat.

After a couple of minutes he take out of his little bag a journal full of drawings. And looking out of the window, he tried to memorized all of the trees and clouds he sees during the ride, so he can draw it for his parents. After an hour looking at the window, he fell asleep listening music on his earphones his parents gifted him.

Blood runs thicker than water.
