Edgar Alexander Williams was a curious twelve-year-old. Well, his birthday was in one day, so he would have to count himself as thirteen. He went by 'Alec', after his middle name, and Alec was a very sporty kid. He loved the outdoors. So he would go exploring on the Hogwarts Grounds.

Alec had pale skin and blonde hair. He had inquisitive golden eyes. And he had a desire to learn as well as a few secrets. He kept having strange flashes of remembering, where he remembered a family that was not his own. A family with a mother who had dark hair and his eyes. A father who looked like fire itself. And two younger sisters who were twins, one with hair as white as snow and one who looked like a female version of Alec himself.

Alec always puzzled over these memories, wondering how he could remember such things, but then he would always sigh and move on with his day. He had a family now. His mother was Eva Williams and his father was Thomas Williams. He was Alec Williams. Not Alec Riddle. Alec paced this time, his Slytherin robes heavy even on a muscular frame like his. The Second Year watched as a rabbit scurried along the wet grass, and a drop of rain landed on his nose. Oh, how Alec hated spring. It was allergy season, for one thing. For another, it was always raining. Every. Single. Day.

Alec wondered how his Mum and Pa were doing at home as he looked at the plants. He had learned about some of these in Herbology. He wasn't scared... He just felt like someone was watching him... And he didn't know what to think.

On account of Michael Matteo Póyes

Michael stood unwavering. He was a 14 year old boy, quite ahead for his year; his birthday was six months ago. A while back, his mother had insisted that he was smart enough to move up a grade, so he had never went to 3rd grade. He had heard stories from his friends that skipping a grade sometimes affected people later; the tough work catches up with you eventually. Even though the worry always passed through his mind night and day, he hadn’t really felt too challenged yet. Now, he was a Second year.

Michael loved anything to do with water. Before he had left to Hogwarts, he has been on a small swim team. He was a truly fast swimmer indeed, but he was a terrible runner. Like most people, he hated running. It makes the you so tired! Why would anyone in their right minds want to run for fun?! Whatever he reason, he didn’t want in on it.

Michael also loved inventing. He had quite the knack for building and inventing things. He was also quite specialized at spotting out things normal people didn’t suspect. He liked this; before he had gotten admitted into Hogwarts, he had always wanted to be an investigator or some job related to forensics. By enough about that, let’s focus on his looks now!

Michael was a mildly tan colored boy; he had wavy blonde hair that was stationed in a comb over. He had pale blue eyes with a hint of sparkle. Michael has some light freckles flecked onto his cheekbones, by you couldn’t be really tell they were there. His face is sort of a smooth oval, but his chin is a little on the high end of pointed. He was a Slytherin; he always masked his face with a smile.

Michael always loved Spring; it was strange though. Normally, everybody had allergies, but he had never had bad allergies. He liked to think of this as his superpower. His sister had even given him a name; Sneezeless Man. Oh how he loved his little sister.

Michael, who had caught up on all of the gossip, had heard about one boy; his name was... well he forgot it. He wanted to go talk to him, perhaps make him a friend.
Austria, Michael’s younger sister, was a wee toddler. Michael hoped that Austria would become a witch when she grew of age. Think of how amazing that’s would be! Teaching your sister and giving her exclusive information on all of the places and things at the school! He loved being an older brother, especially to a cute little girl like Austria.

As Michael turned the corner, he saw a person. To his dismay, it wasn’t who he hadn’t been looking for. When he noticed it was a girl, not the boy he wished to speak to. He smiled embarrassingly and shuffled away quickly. He walked down the halls and came to the school grounds. Now embarrassed, he sat alone on the grassy grounds. Okay so there is inebriate allergy he has; he is allergic to grass. It makes him so itchy and red. Speaking of his terrible allergy, he got up quickly as he felt the green blades touch him. He looked around for a safe place to sit away from allergies; he saw a boy during his scan. The boy, a pale skinned Slytherin, was sitting alone. Michael was puzzled; how had he not seen him around before?

He shrugged and trotted over to his fellow Slytherin. ”Hey, you look rather bored. Could I maybe sit over her with you?” he asked, his voice raised a little into a higher note. He bit his lip; why had we walked over to a random kid? Well, whatever the reason, he had already asked him. Wait- why wasn’t he waiting if he could just sit?

He sat down next to the Slytherin, obviously not caring if the boy refused his question. He wondered if they were in the same year. He, while still older than most kids, just assumed people were younger than him. He didn’t even really know, he just assumed. Now he was faced with the boy. Michael smiled slightly, just enough to give a small amount of persuasion.

Speaking of persuasion, before he had left for school, he had been begged by his little sister, Austria, to bring her to school. Austria had begged to Ben hidden inside of his suitcase, so when he arrived at school, she could be with him. He had laughed, clearly not that gullible. He told he was sure she would come eventually and that she should wait. See, the thing about little kids is that they believe anything, so he had told Austria that she would be haunted by husband make-believe Slytherin Ghost, Kokonut. He had make Kokonut the ghost of Slytherin because to scare Austria into not hiding in his suitcase. Even though she had promised she wouldn’t hide, he still checked his suitcase, clearly paranoid that his sister would be tucking inside it.

Michael blinked and pulled himself out of his thoughts. He realized he hand the properly introduced himself. ”o-oh! How risen of me.. Hello, I’m Michael Póyes, and I’m a a Slytherin too. Although I doubt we’re in the same year. he said. He knew he sounded rude by thinking that last part, but it was probably true.

Michael smiled at the boy. He didn’t know why, but the boy reminded him of candy. More specifically, chocolate, even more specifically, M&Ms! Michael wanted to lick his lips at the thought of the sweet, rich chocolate morsels of candy sugarcoated in Well... sugar!

He liked this boy. Definitely. He hoped they would become friends over time, but he could could be sure. He had started it off a little terribly. He had came over to him, sat down without a response, and introduced himself with a little rudeness. But oh well, here they go.

Alec leapt to his feet, startled, as a voice sounded from behind him. "A-ACK!" the part-Veela exclaimed, "What in Merlin's beard are you doing!?" Agh. Older Slytherins were very annoying. Alec's golden eyes blazed with anger as he glared at this idiot kid who was named Michael. Ha. What a nice name. Alec didn't like his first name very much at all. It was Edgar - Who named their child Edgar in the twenty-first century? No one did. Except for Alec's parents, that was.

Alec glared at Michael. He was already seeming to be one of those annoying types of kids who would be so, so, so desperate for friends - and never get any. Yeah, Alec wasn't impressed. Not at all. Alec didn't even bother to say his name as he stormed away from Michael, just up a hill to a nice spot where he could see the Great Lake and the castle. "It's pretty out here," the boy commented to himself.

He thought once again of his Mum and Pa and how they would love this. His parents were both Muggles, but they were very welcoming of magic. Alec liked the prospect of being a Muggle-born Slytherin. It changed things up a lot. Most Muggle-born wizards and witches didn't get sorted into the amazing House of the Snakes.

Once more, Alec noted that he was adopted. What if he was from a pureblooded Wizarding family? That would change things. But he doubted it. Alec wasn't at all a purist. That meant he didn't act like a typical pureblood. The kid's long and skinny legs moved forward until he sat at the edge of the hill and dangled his feet off. He needed a moment to calm down. Michael had just surprised him. He wasn't a mean person at all, right?

After taking a few deep breaths, Alec pushed himself up from where he sat and made his way over to Michael. "I apologise for my earlier rudeness. My name is Edgar Williams, but I prefer to go by 'Alec' because my middle name is Alexander." He bit his lip, his golden eyes full of worry. Alec couldn't help his many emotions; he was almost thirteen years old. Of course, he'd be feeling crazy emotions! It was obvious, and if this older Slytherin wanted to judge the angsty preteen for it, then he was definitely an idiot in Alec's eyes. No one could insult Edgar Alexander Williams and get away with it. Absolutely no one.

Michael was dumbfounded. All he had done was merely introduce himself, and all he had gotten gotten in return was, what, a sour attitude and to be walked away from? Well, Michael tried to ignore the boy’s words as the irritated Slytherin introduced himself quickly.
Alec. What a common name. Michael couldn’t help it anymore; he didn’t like this kid. Michael didn’t really care about having everyone like him and all that. Not at all.
Well... at least Alec had tried to make up his sharpness by apologizing. Michael felt bad for judging the fellow Slytherin so quickly. Speaking of Slytherin and the houses, Michael had recently applied for the Hogwarts paper.

Well... he was forced to. Sadly enough, by his sister, Austria. She, for some reason, really wanted him to join the paper. She had said ‘Apply or else I’ll take away your room in the house and I’ll use it as a room to resurrect my dolls’. Michael, of course, knew she didn’t have any power to bring life to her dolls, much less claim his room for that madness. Nevertheless, he had applied anyways. He hadn’t really tried on the application. It was a lousy work; there was about 20 words on each answer to the Q+A. He could normally write much better, especially as an all O student with homework. But why was he thinking about this? He needed to smooth things over with Alec.
Michael’s perception of Alec wasn’t the best. Alec wasn’t the fitting description of ‘best friend’. He was more of a... quiet angsty kid who didn’t really like to meet people. Gosh, that sounded more terrible than he wanted to put it. Well at least he hadn’t said that out loud.
“You don’t talk to people much do you? Cuz’ I kinda see you as a quiet angsty kid who doesn’t really really like people in general.” Michael slapped his hand over his mouth. That was not meant to be said. Not at all.
Michael shook his head. Why did he have to be so rude? Well he didn’t care. He had never had a problem with people getting to his head or anyone telling him what to do. Except for his mom but whatever.

Alec smirked. 'Pfffft. I am a quiet angsty kid.' He ran a hand through his blonde curls, looking more like a jock than ever. He... He didn't have the 'football muscles', but he was muscular enough to not look like a stick figure. Alec closed his eyes as he tilted his face back to bask in the few rays of sunlight that made it through the Scottish clouds. He was grinning, looking sort of self-righteous. "Thanks for the compliment." Alec was tempted to say a few other words, but he bit his tongue. What if a prefect was hiding in the bushes, ready to give detention? He wouldn't risk that yet.

A sneeze escaped Alec's lips, making spittle stain the black fabric of his sleeve. 'Achoo!' Ah. Crap. That... That hurt! Alec's eyes opened wide and and his eyebrows furrowed apologetically. 'I'm sorry!' Alec whined, sneezing again. 'I'm not trying to sneeze or anything! It's just coming out!' He sneezed once more, his eyes squeezing shut, and he grimaced. Saliva would be flying everywhere if he couldn't get his allergies under control. This was his birthday gift: Allergies.

'Uh... Are you allergic to anything? I... As you can probably tell, I'm allergic to pollen.' Alec forced an awkward smile onto his face, his eyes worried.
