Plop.

Plop...

Plop!

The three students would plummet into the depths of the castle and make not quite a splash landing but a sort of gooey, gelatinous, bouncy landing. The citrus scent overpowering, like their mother went overboard spring cleaning and forgot the ventilate the house. The wands lost, at least at first the room would be entirely dark, yet they could feel the strange gelatin all around them. They were physically powerful enough to overpower the JELLO, however they would feel the resistance against their bodies as they tried to move. It was like they were fighting a current in every direction as they tried to move about.

"Do any of you have a wand?"

@Marla Quinlan called out. The unfortunate truth was, it was in none of their possession. They had fell down the very shoot that the students rode and they pierced the giggling mass.

One. Two. Three.

The wands did not land far from the party of three. Each plunged into the still wiggling lime gelatin. They were not particularly hard to find with a little bit of effort. @Landon Storm looked around for a faint, muted glow that might emanate from the displaced wands. Unfortunately it was dark. ((I contacted our lore experts on if Lumos is maintained if a user is separated from their wand, was told it is extinguished. Sorry!)) As the Slytherin waded through the nearly breast high jiggling trap, he would attempt to find a wand.

Landon attempts to find his wand.
Roll: 18 (Success)
His hand wraps around the shaft of the wand, unless he decided to let it just stay there of course, he would withdraw the wand from it's fragrant prison. Upon doing so he would feel the slimy wooden rod in his grip. Was it even his wand in his hand?
Whose wand did Landon find?
1 - Angellica, 2 - Landon, 3 - Marla
Roll: 1 Reroll: 3 (Marla)
It was not his wand, it was unfamiliar in form. The engravings were off, the length felt wrong. There would be no sense of power from that magical implement.

@Angellica Rowley thought she found something. Her hands would search and she would blindly grab (unless she decided to just stand there after believing that she might have identified something) at something in the dark.
Angellica searches for her wand.
Roll: 15 Success
Her hand would plunge into the JELLO. The sticky, slimy, gooey prison would the wand was invaded. She would recover something at the very least. It was a familiar object, one she would likely immediately recognize as hers despite the stickiness and the globs of gelatin that might stubbornly hold onto her wand. There was an undeniable link, a spark between a wizard and their wand. The wand might choose the wizard but the wizard is also a master of their craft and their instrument.
Whose wand did Angellica find?
1 - Angellica, 2 - Landon, 3 - Marla
Roll: 1 Reroll: 1 (Angellica)
If Angellica casts Lumos (auto-success since you are a second year lets make this easy) she would see the room for what it is. Had Landon questioned still if the wand in his hand was his, he would know once the room was fully illuminated. His wand was three inches to the left of where Landon was presently standing, deeply embedded into the unhealthy green substance.

The room was, yes... filled with Lime JELLO. How long this gelatinous mass had been here? Hard to say. Could be hours, could be decades. The room was certainly not cleaned before the massive pool of JELLO was summoned or mixed. There were a few shadowy items that appeared to be frozen in time. Had they stared, they might be able to discern their outline. Drowned vermin mostly, it was like a green amber stone, just more pliable. there was an uneven gradient to the gelatin pool that before them appeared to be for the most part undisturbed. A downward slope towards the wall with the fourth floor.

Looking up, there would be an opening, a great giant slide that leads up into darkness. Looking around them, no obvious exit but this man was not called the Mad Mage for no reason. There was a reason, perhaps even a riddle to his madness.

If it hadn't been for the feel of familiarity in her hand, Angellica might have broken down, but no, this was not the breaking point for the blonde. Covered in a lime jelly, she did her best to wipe her wand on a corner of her shirt that was left untouched by the disgustingly unpleasant substance that both assaulted her nose and her person. Honestly, everything about the substance was offensive. Her anger the only thing keeping her going right then. Bravery was not in Angellica's vocabulary, but spite was. Whatever this was, she would follow through in spite.

"Lumos," she said again to revive the light at the end of her wand, shedding some light on their predicament as fate would allow her to gain sufficient control over herself and keep calm enough for her wit to endure."You know, I think it's even worse to see this," she said in regards to the transparent lime green substance they were sat in. Carefully she stood, the light at the tip of her wand going higher to extend their sights. She allowed the other two to get their bearing, offering the one closest to her a hand up. Marla as fate would have it.

"Let's try to get out of here yeah?" she said with a bit of a smile, looking between the two students that were in this with her or was she in it with them? They had a few options ahead of them, but she didn't want the responsibility for any danger that would come from taking the lead. Where she didn't mind being in a leading position, she wasn't sure this was something she wanted here. Only if she had to. Despite that, she did have one idea.

"Anyone want to give scourgify a try?" It might have seemed shallow to ask, and cleaning up probably wasn't the most important thing to do in that moment but honestly, whatever they were going to get into afterwards, she doubted being sticky and uncomfortable would help their case, and maybe the jelly thing stuff was hiding something that made more sense to the darkness that went up, or the realities on the wall. When studying, she had always found a level of cleanliness helped her get her thoughts together. If she hadn't been the bearer of light, she might have done it herself, but at this point, she wanted to see what they were into, of fear something worse were lying around the corner.

A year at Hogwarts hadn't prepared her in the least for this, but hadn't Harry freaking Potter survived this sort of thing? Would they be a golden trio? She shrugged. No, she had had no plans to get herself in this much trouble, though she guess she did make a far prettier Hermione. All she knew, is this was not the way she died if she could help it.
