It's not every day you get practically eaten by a wall while trying to enjoy a terrible trashy maze in a terrible trashy school all the way across the ocean from home. It certainly wouldn't happen back home at Castelobruxo. You could still get yourself killed pretty easy if you insisted on being stupid, but danger was predictable there. It made sense. It wasn't stupid and fucking ridiculous and it didn't wake you up at 2 am because you rolled off of your stupid Hogwarts bed because you got nightmares now that apparently you had to fight even when you slept. Acacia had all the reasons she needed to want to get out of here and never come back. Unfortunately, all those reasons couldn't speed up time and she was still stuck here. Her bed was all sweaty from her rolling around and half of her sheets were on the floor now. She couldn't think of anything she wanted to do less than go back to sleep. Maybe she could go steal one of that french schools fancy carriages and fly them all the way back home. If any even survived after the explosion.

Picking up her pillow, she kicked as hard as she could. Even the pillows weren't right here. All she wanted to do was go outside and sit out by the waterfall like she did when she couldn't sleep back at school. If Hogwarts had a waterfall at all, it was probably shorter than her. Even their forest was sad and sort of dead looking. She kicked her other pillow, this time even harder. All it did was fly across the room and then flop over on its side like a sad stupid sack of feathers that it probably was. That's it. She wasn't staying here. She yanked her jumper off the floor and shoved it on over the top of her pyjamas. Practically slamming open the door, she left the rooms that the international students had been staying in. Hogwarts was a big place. And it probably had dungeons somewhere, right? That stupid house couldn't just disappear into thin air. They had to put it somewhere. And she was going to find it.

She stomped down the stairs, almost falling down one of the stupid fake steps (another reason why Hogwarts was an absolutely shit school). She didn't care if one of the prefects heard her. They could come if they wanted to. She didn't care. With no real direction other than down, she continued her trek through the silent castle. By some lucky miracle, she found all the right doors. After at least the second try. She was scared she might have woken up some professor with how hard she had tugged on a door that turned out to be locked, not stiff like she had thought it was. She had jumped so high that she had nearly hit her head on the ceiling after she had spotted what had turned out to be a statue of a massive fucking dragon. Who let people just put that there for innocent people to almost fall over?

At least it looked like she was in the right place. It was freezing for one. It was only autumn, or fall or whatever you called it. It being this cold was illegal. And it was so dark down here. Had they ever heard of windows? Walking along, a flicker of movement from a shadow caught her eye and she jumped out of her skin, whispering "Shit!". Even the rooms down here didn't like her though, because it echoed up and down the corridor in an honestly really weird and creepy chorus. "What are you doing down here? And why are you just standing there like a weirdo? What's wrong with you?" she hissed at the figure in the dark.
