I finally came into the Great hall. There were so many people, so crowded. I lot of first year comers were standing next to me. I few seconds later Professor announced: " I'll call you by name. When you hear your name come forward and take place on this chair. I'll put a sorted hat on you and he will put you in the right place, where you belong."

I heard people's names and exclamation of cheers : Gryffindor! Ravenclaw! Hafflepuff! Slytherin! They were happy to have new people at the table and I was in anticipation. I was waiting. " When will she call me? What should I say? Will I have friend? Ohhh, of course I will! Vivien, just try to not explode with your anticipation please. I steel needs my brain." I had a lot of conversation with myself before. It was a strange part of me.

Finally, I heard my name and swing right on the chair. I was waiting. I gazed in front of me. Everybody was starring at me. I heard their thought: " Will she join us or not? Is she noisy? Where will she be sorted to?" I heard a voice. Loud and strong. "Hollow! Such a pleasure to meet Fin's daughter. You're the not really look a like to him. I guess your mom took care about it." He laughed softly. " Let's see what we got here. I see your temper. You're strong and mind brave. Hmmm. I see a lot of ambitious and dreams. A lot of goal you already set up." He went quiet. I worried a little as I didn't know what to expect next. Suddenly he yells: "Not Slytherin! You're not belong there you have a lot in common with them but you are.... different. You have something else what I can't let you to fade there. It's a tough one." Tensed silence covered the whole room. "Gryffindor!" was he's final word. In the meter of second I heard cheers. I turned my eyes to see where the noise comes from. Gryffindor table was clapping me, calling me to join them. I was happy with it as I got in to the same house where my father spent his 7 years. I set near a brunette girl and a clamsy guy in front of me, who has already managed to spill something on himself. We were smiling. And shortly after ceremony continued.

Felix applauded when he heard another student get sorted into Gryffindor. He was getting excited that many new students like him were getting sorted into his house. He stood up and walked confidently towards Vivien, hoping he would make an impression and of course, make new friends.

But, as soon as Felix was about to introduce himself to her, he stuttered.
"H-h-hi! I-I-I'm F-F-Felix!" He said nervously. "Oh no, not again! This is not happening. This is not happening. Why does this happen every time I want to meet new people?!" Felix thought to himself. He awkwardly smiled to Vivien, hoping she would still consider her as a new friend

Felix was sweating a little from this interaction. He's not sure why he is nervous around new people, even if he's aware that he's a social person. He gave his hand to Vivien "It's n-nice to meet you." He said as he gulped. He felt that his hands were kind of sweating, so he wiped the sweat on his robes and gave his hand again to Vivien

Suddenly, a boy stood up and walked confidently towards Vivien. She stood up and smiled to him.
"H-h-hi! I-I-I'm F-F-Felix!" He said nervously. She saw that he started to lose confidence when he began to stutter. Vivien didn't give enough attention to that and exclaimed. "Hi, nice to meet you Felix! I'm Vivien!" Vivien saw that awkwardness in the air gone somewhere else. She was always happy to make new fiends at least get to know people. She continued her questions. "So I see we both get into Gryffindor, are you happy about it? I am. I was waiting to experience Hogwarts all my life or at least as far as I can remember. My father love to share stories about his student years in here. Did your parents attend Hogwarts or maybe Durmstrang, or how it called..... Oh yeah! Or Beauxbatons?" She stopped for a second to take a breath and suddenly recognize that she had a pretty solid monologue. She panicked a little as she knew that sometimes she could talk nonstop. She let out a light laugh. "I'm sorry, sometime I can lost a count of words which flying out of my mouth. So I asked you so many questions and I guess it's your time to answer them."

As soon as Felix heard her enthusiastic reply, his stuttering subsided, and he was able to talk in a more complete sentence. Vivien's energy was infectious, and he too was already enthusiastic on talking to her.

"It's so nice to meet you too, Vivien! Yes, we are both Gryffindor and I would like to offer you a wonderful deal on being friends! Both of my parents are from Hogwarts! My father grew in Ireland while my mom was originally from the Philippines but went to Ireland at around 8. I'm a mix of English and Asian blood. Quite unique, don't you think? No worries about you throwing dozens of questions! I actually quite enjoy it. I can already tell we're going to be good friends."

Felix smiled and reassured Vivien that it's okay to be energetic towards him. He's fond of people who are happy to meet new friends. He's now more confident that he will have a good first year.

]He found an open seat beside Vivien and decided to sit beside her. Once he settled on his seat, he began glancing at the other first-years that Vivien interacted and waved at them. Felix felt that he might have found his new friend in the Gryffindor house and is now looking forward on getting to know them.

Haley sat on the stage of the Great Hall, eyes wide, pale with absolute terror. She'd made it here to Hogwarts of course, but what if she wasn't good enough? What if she wasn't magical enough? Her vision went suddenly black as the sorting hat was ceremoniously plopped onto her head. Her heart beat uncontrollably, creating a thunderous drumming in her ears, to the point that she figured the entirety of the Great Hall must be able to hear it. She felt completely out of her depth. Any "anxiety" she'd previously experienced in her eleven year old life would have better been described as excessive enthusiasm or a hyper spurt brought on by an overindulgence in sweets. She tried to discreetly wipe her sweaty palms against her robes as the Sorting Hat continued to deliberate. After what seemed like an eternity, it finally bellowed, "GRYFFINDOR!".

Haley half smiled as she made her way to the Gryffindor table. She felt a clash of emotions, torn between relief and disappointment. Gryffindor? Her father had been a Ravenclaw, so she always presumed that she would also be sorted into Ravenclaw. It hadn't even occurred to her that she could be placed in another house. The only alternative that she had considered was that the Sorting Hat would simply not place her into a house at all (despite her father repeatedly reassuring her this never happens - she figured even the "impossible" has a first time).

Lost in thought, Haley realized she was standing still next to the Gryffindor table. Panicked, she wondered, 'How long have I been standing here?!' She overheard a first year boy talking with another girl that was sorted shortly before her. They seemed happy - not the rotten mess of nerves Haley was displaying. 'Get it together, Haley!' She thought as she sat down in an open space across from the other two first years.

"Hiya!" Haley blurted out in a cracked half-whisper, half-shout, betraying every ounce of anxiety she felt. She took a deep breath as she nervously smiled and said "I guess we're in Gryffindor!"
