Lunchtime seemed to be the best time to squeeze in some violin practice. While the Great Hall was bustling with hungry children, Avery took advantage of the rare time when the Rehearsal Room was empty on Wednesdays, since none of the clubs have seemed to have booked it out.

However, this often led him to be late to his next class. So, with a backpack of books in tow and his violin case swinging in his right hand, he stomped up the stairs, and sprinted down the corridors to avoid getting points deducted from Slytherin.

Annoyance and endorphins fueled his sprint. The concerto he was working on had some tricky double stops that always sounded a bit off whenever he played it. Oftentimes, at least one of the notes would either be off-tune, or his fingers wouldn't quite land together in time so that he was off-beat. In truth, there was just something wrong with his playing recently, as it had been for a while, and no amount of practice could make it feel right. These practice sessions only ended in more frustration than when he began, making him feel as if no progress was made at all.

So, with a scowl on his face, he rushed to turn a corner, and found himself running smack-bang into something, or rather -- someone. Wild blonde hair got in his mouth, the impact was quite like getting blatched off a broom through his shoulder, and he felt the weight of his violin case slip through his fingers and land with a thud to the floor.

"What the hell?" he exclaimed, immediately crouching down to examine his violin case, turning it the right side up so he could open it to examine the contents of his prized instrument. He gave no notice as to the health or wellbeing of the other person, who may very well be on the floor or whatever.

"No no no... Please be okay," he muttered to himself, thinking that this instrument couldn't possibly bear another accident. Thankfully, the violin itself was in good shape, the sturdy case having taken most of the impact. However, the rosin for his bow was cracked into various pieces, and he groaned. Small pieces were so difficult to hold and rub against the horsehair of the bow, and they had to be tossed whenever they got too small. "Wow, so this is basically wasted," he said with a grimace and a frown.

Oogie was just on her way from one place to another, this place being lunch. It was lunch time after all and her stomach was growling like a bear that had been poked and woken up from its nap. Though that would probably be more of a grumble, but her stomach grumbled too so that was still kind of an apt description how she was feeling in the moment. And who really cared about the specifics, because she wanted food and thus her steps sped up and so did her temper.

For a moment she got distracted by one of the many paintings shaking a head at her for skipping through the corridor presumably and Oogie turned around to stick her tongue out at the painting in a somewhat defiant manner, while continuing her skipping way of rushing through the hallway; just backwards and much more chaotic than she would have been if she had been properly able to run or skip.

So of course it came to the point of a crash, as her back collided with a hard object and a body, sending the object skittering across the floor and her falling over the other person's body. "What the hell?" the other person dared to exclaim, when Oogie just knew the other person must have been rushing just as much as she had done and to not even apologize when it was Oogie who fell because of it and he only dropped a stupid thing? "Hello tae ye to," she muttered sarcastically from the ground, in an unhappy grumble.

During the fall her mop of curls had somehow fallen over her face as her head bopped as she collided with the ground and it left her feeling glad she hadn't been chattering or she could have bit her lip or worse. But no she was mostly fine. She brushed away the hair from her face almost angrily, like a curtain and her gaze focused on the boy who was busy chasing after the thing he dropped and it appeared to be a case of some sort. Oogie slowly pushed herself up, first onto her knees and then sort of jumped up. Her palms were lightly scraped from the stone-y ground but other than that she was fine so it was no bother.

"Ye shou'd watch where ye are goin," she huffed as she stepped closer and peeked over the boy's should into the case. The irony of her words were lost to her as she glanced at the violin. After all she had been walking backwards at the time of the collision. However it was the other boy who was rushing.. so was she but that was clearly different because she was rushing towards the Great Hall where the food waited and she was oh so very hungry. Like a bear. She gave a self-satisfied not at her own thoughts, before returning her attention to the boy she was staring at.

"No no no... Please be okay," the other boy seemed to say, not to her of course but to that posh music instrument. Oogie raised an eyebrow. "It looks fine tae me," she muttered and poked the tip of her shoe against the case, in a nudge, testing if it would break apart at the simple touch and shrugged when it didn't. "A think you can just glue it back together or sae," she added very helpful. She was not actively trying to be a nuisance in the moment but in a way she was just not really caring about the instrument and had no idea who that boy was.

"Ye owe me an apology by the way, ye just ran intae me like crazy," she added, though she did not actually care about receiving an apology. She just wanted to find a clean end to this encounter so she could finally go and feed herself. She wondered what was for lunch. She was oddly craving mashed potatoes and maybe they had some chicken to go with it? Now add some sort of gravy and she could feast until she was huge and round enough to be rolled out of the Great Hall.
