The Plan Private Closed

James ate his dinner quietly as his parade of friends entered the hall and joined the meeting.
Charlotte looked as if she’d been cursed, he felt a twist of sadness for his friend. He figured it would have been arrogant to think that her mood had anything to do with his comment from earlier. Perhaps if was to do with a personal issue with her family. Gem’s approach certainly suggested as such.

As the others began to filter in James’ smile widened. This little band of heroes was loyal and strong. He especially beamed at the addition of Catriona, he’d wondered where she’d gotten to at the Slumber Party and was glad she wanted to join them still.

He pulled out a map of the school and some notes and placed them on the table in front of him.

“Don’t worry ladies and gents, we haven’t gone over the plan yet,” he said, “We want to set a trap for these attackers... I’m thinking tomorrow afternoon in the third floor corridors. There’s a study gap; a 3rd year Charms class ends at 3pm and a 6th year one starts at 4. That leaves nearly an hour where the halls are completely empty, just here.” He drew a small “x” on the map at a plus-shaped intersection somewhere in the middle of the labyrinth of corridors, “There’s a statue of a dragon, here. And a suit of armour here. In the other two corridors there are windows with curtains that can be hidden behind. All sufficient hiding spots to set the trap I reckon. I’ll stand in the middle and pretend I’m all alone, and wait until our friends show up, and I’ll say a codephrase or something. Like.... uh- “I’ve got a bad feeling about this,” and then you lot jump out and cut off their exits. Then we’ll have a captive audience, and we can conduct a little interview.” He grinned, “Any questions?”

Lark waved to Elzabeth as she saw the blonde haired girl enter the hall before taking a seat at the table.
"Hey!" She gave the girl a nod and pushed over her goblet so there was more room at the table. Lark watched as Elzabeth worked her way through the chicken wings in front of her. She must have really been hungry, admittedly Lark hadn't thought much about food until they had gotten inside and her belly had began to groan.

As Lark finished up another helping of green beans, she noticed a girl coming towards the table. She had pretty features Lark thought especially with the confident smile she held as she strode over. Watching as the girl took a seat next to Gem and spoke to the pair of cousins, Lark wanted to introduce herself but found she was rather intimidated by the girl. Not wanting to appear to be listening in, Lark turned her eyes back to James who sat across from her. She tried to inconspicuously study the boy's features.

"I hope I didn't miss anything."

Lark pulled her eyes away from James to see Margo joining them.
"Oh hey!" Lark smiled at the girl, glad she made it. "No worries!" Lark waved her hand at the mention of being late. "I think we all pretty much were too." She was about to ask Margo how the rest of the day had gone when James spoke up.

Following his plan, Lark nodded thinking how well thought out he had been about it all. 'I wonder if he stayed up late and actually went through all these halls over and over..' The silver haired girl thought to herself.

"Should we all split up and wait behind different vantage points? Maybe... cover both sides of the hallway? Then when you call we can sort'ah just pop out? "
