Oliver lowered his weapon when asked, slowly placing it by his lap. He listened to Erin with a now resting expression, humbly taking in her complaints and nodding as she pointed out details such as him being a Ravenclaw. Midway through her "rant", Oliver accidentally slipped another toot. A single, squashy burst of scorching air. Oliver tried to hold back his eyes widening and tried to naturally blend the sound by doing a few fake coughs afterwards. Oliver's attempts were weak, he may be able to audibly trick Erin, but aromatically he could never. It wasn't as bad as the earlier toot. That was more so a poot than a toot. This one was classic. Rather than a suffocating rear naked choke, this smell was took the form of a clean punch to the nose. A single jab, that was all. Any attempt to sniff it again would lead to failure.

Oliver sat up straighter, swallowing down some blood tasting saliva as Erin raised her tone to a more aggressive one. He tilted his head and winced as he tried to understand what Erin was saying. Kids often asked him this but he just took it as a generic insult. Unless he actually did rip a stenchy one, he failed to comprehend any meaning to the question. Oliver felt he was just like the other kids, had the same thoughts as the other kids and the same decisions. Surely. He always pinpointed his bullying on his weight. It was the number one insult and he did recognize that he was a tad fad. Yet he knew being fat wasn't the answer Erin was demanding, there was other fat kids in the school who went unbullied. Albeit rare, they existed... in the older years.

Oliver groaned as he stood up, he didn't like the current setting. Erin looking down on him. He was gaining enough confidence in himself to not let himself see her as anything but a bottom of the barrel future dropout. He clenched his wand firmly, staring at Erin as she questioned him.

"Self centered... you're so self centered. Why do you care about me..." Oliver's expression weakened. "Why do you have to control how everyone around you acts? Is your life that pathetic? Seriously... the world doesn't revolve around you," Oliver didn't have the energy to say all of this with anger. He was fuming deep within but right now, he was just expressing the miserable, bullied Oliver, He wiped blood off his lip with a thumb. "Yea, I'm fat, I love food! I've cut on my sweets though. Why do you care about my appearance...? Do you complain to dog poop that it looks bad too? And yeah, I stink. Yeah..." Oliver paused. He had no argument for that. He ate a bad mixture of food presumably, he wasn't old enough to understand flatulent behavior.
"But okay," Oliver let out a sigh, lowering his tensed shoulders. He didn't want to have an argument over subjective opinions," I can try to be cool. I'll do that for you, update me with what not to do and I'll do it. But! My part of the deal is... you have to be my friend..."

Oliver stood tall and held out a hand to shake. He looked at Erin's feet as he offered the palm. He was no schemer, there was no ill intentions in trying to get closer to Erin, he just felt their conflicts were unnecessary. He wanted Erin as an ally, the girl fought like a dog and was feared by many in the school. Having her as an ally guaranteed Oliver to reduce his usual bullying considerably. It was a long shot, but considering what Oliver just did with his finger, there was very little that was out of bounds as of now.

It was biological warfare. Another stink bomb. Erin crinkled her nose and her face contorted into an expression of disgust. Does he just stuff rotten eggs up his rectum? Does he have skunk-like powers? There was something incredibly wrong with his gastrointestinal tract or something died in there a very long ago. "Fuck man, stand down wind," she complained. She waved at the air with her hand, attempting to blow the ephemeral toxic fumes away from her already badly assailed olfactory system.

"Self centered... you're so self centered. Why do you care about me..."

"A bit hypocritical," she could not really both care about Oliver and only herself. "Perhaps a bit narcissistic as well," thinking she gave a shit about him when she generally only seems to care about herself, her wants and her needs. Admittedly she gave no shits about Oliver, he just annoyed the hell out of her. If she was forced to endure him, she may as well find him tolerable. It was still all about her and her selfish whims. "And I don't care. Why would I?" She answered honestly.

"Why do you have to control how everyone around you acts? Is your life that pathetic? Seriously... the world doesn't revolve around you."

She eyed him over. "Control," she repeated. She never thought of it in that way, that she desired control. In fact, she always wanted the opposite. She wanted chaos. She wanted a world that she could no longer manipulate. The ability to finally feel as alive as she physically was. "Control is overrated," she claimed, like a spoiled child would state that money had no value. She was slowly losing the control she had, something that she would yearn for in the coming months and years. Things got more complicated as one got older. Distractions. Needs that the world would no longer freely satisfy. Risks that one must endeavor to hazard to gain the power she was so careless as to disregard now. "It is not my fault that the world revolves around me," she continued. Of course she empathized the term around, she took it another way. The world went on without her, it went on around her. She was an irrelevant until she made her presence known, then she shaped the interaction. "It makes it easier to watch them, to change them."

"Yea, I'm fat, I love food! I've cut on my sweets though. Why do you care about my appearance...? Do you complain to dog poop that it looks bad too? And yeah, I stink. Yeah..."

"You're also off-balanced. Stronger than you look, but burdened by the weight of a second or a third person on your back. Makes you slow. Ineffective. Weak. Aesthetics have their own advantages, but you'll never be hot like me," she was probably not wrong there. There were a number of part-Veelas in their year, an unheard of number of them being male even. In terms of looks, Oliver will never be the hot guy "but who the hell cares." Looks were secondary to function, he was dysfunctional.

"The smell is just rank," she complained. "And what do you do when something is unpleasant?" It was a rhetorical question of course, but Oliver needed to ponder the answer. He was smart, he would get it. You try to get rid of the nuisance. Break it. Escape it. Change it. When sensibilities are assailed, there is an internal, combustive reaction. The sort of thing that causes people to lash out. What stops them is the source of misery being unflappable, unbreakable; the fact that they might be hurting more after than they were when they started. "Makes you stand out. Makes you a target. If you are weak enough, they are just going to kick your ass again and again." Maybe she was not making any sense, she was hardly a scholar but she understood people pretty well.

"But okay. I can try to be cool. I'll do that for you, update me with what not to do and I'll do it. But! My part of the deal is... you have to be my friend...

She could not hear that last part. Well, she heard it but she chose not to. Friendship sounded like a trap. The sort of trap that ends badly probably, he was smarter than her after all. He extended his hand to shake, Erin would grab part of the sheet off of his bed (hopefully not regretting that) to serve as a barrier between her hand and his likely sweaty palm. "Friend, an uncanny choice," she replied.

A pact of sorts would be made between the devil and the pig.

Seems like a good concluding area really?

Topic end?

Just a trick of the lighting they said...
