Xyanne hummed as she entered the rehearsal room. Glad she made sure it was empty at this hour. A case covered in music notes and drawings in her hand as she closes the door with a sigh and a happy smile. She calmly walks up to the middle of the room where a music stand was. The young Ravenclaw reached into a bag she had with her and pulled out an already open scroll, putting it on the stand, the song opened on was called The River Flows In You and it was such a lovely song.

Putting her wand away, Xyanne crouches down and sets the case on the ground gently before unclipping it, opening the decorative case, the lass starts getting her violin and bow ready, including tuning it, putting the shoulder rest on and tightening her bow before standing back up with the instrument she's been playing since the age of five in hand. Putting the gorgeous instrument in place, she got into the correct position. Her fingers getting into place as she looks over the notes. Finally, the bow goes on the strings. Memorizing the notes, Xyanne makes the bow move.

The start of the song playing through the once silent room and the redhead closes her eyes as she gets lost in the calm and beautiful music. Unbeknownst to her, a figured silently entered the Rehearsal Room, hearing the sound of the violin clearly now. Once that song finished the scroll was forgotten and she played a new one, a sadder song. Lost within the sound, the world around her forgotten, and she was completely oblivious to the eyes watching her figure

Hope had left the rehearsal room hours ago, but it was only now that she realized that she had left behind her music. She knew she had to go and get it quickly. If she lost her music one more time, her grandma would probably kill her! She looked at the time and knew she could run and grab it quickly without anyone noticing. She made her way down the halls before coming across the room. That's when she heard the music from inside...

It was clearly a violin and sounded absolutely beautiful. She creaked the door open in a bit and peered in, doing her best not to make any sound. She was able to recognize the girl as another Ravenclaw in her year. She slid into the room and seemed to forget about the music she had left sitting on the piano nearby. She listened to the violin and couldn't help but get caught up in the sound, her mind wandering as the song went on.

Soon, the song ended, and Hope smiled brightly. She tucked a loose piece of hair behind her ear and couldn't help but speak up."Wow... that was amazing!" She beamed at the girl had a look of awe on her face. She decided to approach the girl. "Sorry to barge in, but you're really good..."

The Scottish girl blushed lightly, a lavender-pink spreading across her many of freckles. "Oh, um, it's fine. Thank you, I don't often play in front of people." She comments. Her accent thick as she talks so one could easily tell she was Scottish. Placing her instrument down on a stool just for that purpose, she approaches the other, quickly realizing she was shorter as usual. Well, at least some things never change, such as her height and awkwardness. "Xyanne Love, we have classes together." She says holding her hand out for a more formal introduction since she grew up learning to be more polite. Also slightly hoping the other wouldn't recognize her name, more specifically, her surname. Something that brings a lot of, uh, negative attention towards her

Being a pureblood 'traitor' family can bring in a lot of attention. So she always sat alone in the back of the class, always quiet and uncalled upon. Sometimes even the professors forgot she was there until they counted heads for homework sheets. So not many had heard her voice. And she had no friends. None if you didn't count the ghost roaming around the castle ground. "You are, um, Hope, right?"

Hope was a half-blood, and while she had grown up knowing about magic, her dad never really talked about wizard drama, so it was clear Hope had no recognition of Xyanne's family or last name. She did vaguely remember Xyanne's name being called in class, but that was about it. She smiled and took her hand, shaking it and nodding. "Yep, the one and only. Sorry for not remembering your name. I don't have the greatest memory." She paused a moment before something hit her. "Speaking of."

She walked over to the piano and grabbed the music that was sitting on it. "There you are." She picked up the musicShe then turned back to Xyanne. "If I had completely lost my piano music and book one more time, my grandma would probably rip me to shreds. That's why I barged in on you like that..."
She paused for a moment and looked at Xyanne's violin. "Is that your violin or one of the schools?" Hope had always loved the violin. Not as much as the piano, but she did enjoy listening to it. It definitely took a lot of talent to play. Her mum had taken her to a few symphonies and the violins had always been very beautiful, and she had wondered how many years it took the musicians to be able to play like that.

Her pale blue eyes lit up at the mention of her violin. "This is my own! I've been playing for years, despite everything in this school, I still find music the most magical thing here." Xyanne explains, with her excitement and friendliness one would quickly mistake her for a Hufflepuff if not the blue-accented uniform she wore.

She had left her robe in her room so it was just the normal uniform with blue trails on the skirt and her blue tie, plus her spell made Ravenclaw badge her mother made for her. Though it complemented her pale complexion and her multicolored hair, she found it rather simple. Every day was an adventure so, with the professor's permission, the bottom of her blue and black robe had music notes hand sown into it. Each week she added something small.

But, people found that weird, even here. Creativity was shunned upon by some. Spells were already created, and creatures were already found and named. Xyanne always thought there was more though. That there was so much more to this magical world, and she wanted to know every single corner of it.

"How are you finding our classes so far?" She questioned tilting her head just the slightest

@Xyanne Love @Hope Ables

It was Marian's second day back, the second day of her second year. She was not yet used to the flood of new people, new faces. Marian was exploring Hogwarts, for she hadn't had the time last year to see all of it. She was wandering, you could say, for she had no obligation to go anywhere.

She walked up to a room she had not seen before. She slowly curved her fingers around the door handle and silently turned it. The door opened a crack. The faint voices she had heard walking up to the room now grew louder and clearer. Two girls gathered near the piano, admiring a violin. Marian noticed that one was short with dyed hair, and the other had curly brown hair, which she admired. Marian walked in, her steps heavy enough that if there was a break in the conversation, she would be acknowledged, but otherwise she would remain unnoticed. Instead of presenting herself or announcing her presence, she stayed quiet and let them notice her in their own time.

Her outfit today was a simpler one, her Hufflepuff black and yellow robes over a ombre knee length dress coloured with different shades of yellow, from the pastel yellow at the neck to the bright yellow at her waist to the yellow-orange you would see during a sunset at the hem. Her hair, a little longer than shoulder length was left down, slightly brushed. Overall, she looked pretty.
