A standardized test with math, english, reading and science. I had to take them in high school instead of the sats. Colleges (not all) require the ACT score. My community college didn't require it but a nearby college did. I needed to have an ACT score of 21 or higher to automatically check off the "Act 21+ or Praxis Core" on the teaching k-5 degree but I did not have a 21. I had an 18.

I did a practice ACT and got a 21 on it. Unfortunately, it doesn't count as the real ACT.

Seems like it! I've never heard of ACTs too, we have a different system here as well
