Karina was so amazed by the looks of the Great Hall. There were rose petals everywhere! The scent from the flowers filled the room, making everyone in a festive and lovely mood. Karina didn't usually celebrate this holiday, knowing that no boy had really ever caught her eye. She didn't have the feeling for relationships. School, studying, and ballet, was on her mind, she just didn't have the time for boys! But at Hogwarts, school is the only thing she has really had to focus on. She had been so far away from home.

Karina walked through the widely open doors that led her into the Great Hall. She walked to her Slytherin Table and sat down quietly in the farthest corner of the table. Karina had friends, they just weren't in the same house as her.

Karina was wearing her festive red clothes. A beautiful red dress, (which her mother had sent to her for the New Year's Holiday), a big red bow, and a pair of red shoes. Her hair was tied back neatly into a Fishtail Braid.

"Well isn't this place just marvelous? It's so beautiful!"

She said quietly to herself. She looked around. Everywhere she looked (almost everywhere) she saw a beautiful couple. A boy asking a girl to be their Valentine, or in some cases the vice versa!
