Cabin Sign-Ups

xxxMagic was wonderful for creating a beautiful experience for the people coming to Beauxbatons, with a wave of the wand, the theme of the cabin each group of students and adults could be chosen out of four varying designs. Each student cabin would have a chaperone with a separate bedroom from the students, the ratio being eight students to one adult. There would be four bunk beds in each cabin as well as a main living room area for students to study in, hang out or just to have fun. For any adults that joined the Valentines' Day festivities, they would have a smaller cabin to themselves with a bedroom and a living area, about a quarter of the size of the student cabins or they can request a group cabin for just adults as well. Professors and Headmasters or Headmistresses of other schools will have their own cabin to stay in, with whatever theme they choose.

xxxFor each cabin, there would be four themes to choose from:

𝕌𝕟𝕕𝕖𝕣𝕨𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕣 ℙ𝕒𝕣𝕒𝕕𝕚𝕤𝕖

xxxIf this theme was chosen for their cabin, once they entered, people would find themselves looking at a beautiful mirage outside the window of turquoise water, a coral reef in the distance, and tropical fish surrounding them. This underwater view would be based on the coral reefs of the West Pacific. The windows were large from ceiling to floor, opening out to a beautiful image of an underwater landscape. The windows would be the walls to the living room and in the center of the living room there would the refractions of light through the water would glitter on a beautiful cashmere carpet that was the color of peach coral. A large couch would be on top of the carpet, with pillows of white and peach. One could stare right through the windows to see the beautiful underwater scene, though it was not real. And, if students and others found themselves bored, there would be a bookcase filled with as one can guess, books of any kind. In the living room, there would be various places to sit as well as a glass table where students could eat or study, play cardgames, or perhaps even gobstones. Each of the bedrooms would have wooden ceilings, reminiscent of a wooden ship's deck. Hanging from it were beautiful laces of white, hanging from decorations resembling different underwater plants, seaweed, anenomes, flowers, etc. The beds would have sea shell shaped pillows and baby turquoise coloured blankets. The carpet on the floor would resemble the sea floor and each member of the cabin would have their own treasure chest, though it was only for their clothes and belongings for the week they were here. For light, this cabin would have many candle holders made of glass with models of sea shells and starfish.

𝔹𝕖𝕒𝕔𝕙 𝔾𝕖𝕥 𝔸𝕨𝕒𝕪

xxxIf this cabin theme was chosen, people would instead find themselves hearing the gentle rolls of waves and the winds calmly blowing on a summer beach day. If they looked outside their own floor to ceiling window, they would see a clear coast of beach with a blue sky and white clouds. There would be palm trees with coconuts and if the inhabitants of the cabin looked very carefully, they would see many coastline creatures such as crabs, seagulls, and more. This beach would be based on the Caribbean side of South America. The sun would set and cause a golden haze through the clear windows creating a calming atmosphere that would be perfect to take a nap. The bedroom would have a sliding window of its own, although for all intents and purposes one could not actually step outside into the beach, though it would look very realistic. A view of a grove of palm trees would be visible and a thatch roof cottage would be to the side to create a sense of realism. The curtains would be long and flowy, cream coloured, and could be used to cover the windows if the inhabitants wanted to go to sleep early or take a nap. The floors would be wooden, a light tan colour. The view of the beach would be visible from every bed, although from different angles. If they looked up, they would see a rustic beamed ceiling, reminiscent of a wooden cabin. In the living room area, there would be small potted palm trees and ferns, native to the beach, and people could find seating in two white couches with turquoise pillows and blankets. There would be a large dining table for students to study and hang out but also a round coffee table to be used as well. It would be a truly clean and modern living room the inhabitants would spend their time in. And like the previous theme, if students and others found themselves bored, there would be a bookcase filled with as one can guess, books of any kind. Like the previous cabin, this cabin would also have candles for light but in the shape of a palm tree.

ℂ𝕠𝕥𝕥𝕒𝕘𝕖 ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕥

xxxWhile the first theme was underwater and the second was the beach, this theme would be based in the forest. The moment one entered a cabin with this theme, one would be able to hear the gentle pitter patter of rain falling in a forest. And if one looked out the clear window, students and adults alike would see a lush green forest filled with tall trees that formed a light canopy. Every once in a while, if people stared outside observantly they would see creatures native to the forest that was recreated. Perhaps they could see a squirrel, or colourful birds, and perhaps even a moose. A person familiar with forests may be able to identify the view as one from the North American continent. The fog would phase in and out throughout the week the students were there. The living room would be warm and cozy, with a fireplace, as well as a beautiful rug that filled up the place. There would be multiple couches as in the other themes, although they would be dark and brown and black to fit the foggy forest scene. The dining room table would be made of stained wood and fit all eight members of the cabin together, where they could play games, study, or even eat a snack they brought from Beauxbatons' dining hall. There would also be a square coffee table made of wood as well. The bedroom would feel homey and rustic, as if one was camping in a wood cabin up north. The view of the forest would still be visible and the columns and roof of the bedroom would be shaped like a tree trunk. Bunk beds would line the opposite wall so that the view of the forest would be visible from every bed, but at night time the curtains would cover the windows so that people could sleep without the disturbance of light. This cabin would have candle holders the shape of a small cottage in each of the rooms for light at night.

𝕊𝕟𝕠𝕨𝕪 𝕍𝕚𝕝𝕝𝕒𝕘𝕖

xxxThis final cabin design would clearly be recognised as having been designed by Headmaster Albrecht. Students from a certain school would recognise the landscape they would see out of the window. The snowy landscape would be cold and austere yet beautiful in a way that space was. The cold and danger of an icy landscape, majestic beyond measure. Out of the window, the inhabitants of the cabin would see a icy lake with snow falling gently at times, hard at times. On the lake, a wooden ship would float near the coast, sailing away at times, and coming back at regular intervals. The trees would shake with the cold winter wind and an icy mountain could be seen in the distance. The living room was simple and modern, but practical. There would be two light grey couches for the students to sit in and a couple footrests. The students would find a black metal dining table as well as a coffee table made with the same material. The coffee table, however would have a layer of glass on it while the dining table would be used directly on the metal. There would be a fireplace with a pine needle wreath upon it as well as a dark grey rug on the ground. The pillows on the couch would be dark red and the blankets were the same colour as well. The bedroom would be beautiful as well, facing a different view of the cold landscape. The curtains on the window would be dark red and made of velvet, tied. The window in the bedroom would face a small cottage in the distance, roof covered in snow. The mountains would be in the center of the view rather than the lake. The trees would be clearer through this window and the evergreen trees would shimmer in the moonlight at night because of the snow on their branches. The candle holder that resembled models of logs and small lamps. The bunk beds would have a view of the window and at night the glow of the sunset and the moon would fill the room with golden warmth.

• If you get grouped with someone you have DNC with, please owl/DM Emery Albrecht or Célestine de la Croix-Valmer, and we will change your group.
• You can have your PC and iNPC in the same cabin.
• Adults will have their own cabin each, or if you would like a group cabin the above rules apply.
• If you are a group of less than 8 and don't want anyone else with you, please don't post here. Use the tag of the chosen cabin name and have fun roleplaying.

• All general roleplaying rules are applied while in your cabins. This means each post must be at least 200 words, no godmodding unless given permission, etc.
