I love skateboarding in the streets of London, it's my favorite pastime! No annoying dad or stupid people, just me, my bag, and my skateboard! It's summer, my favorite season because it's vacation time, no homework, no stupid teachers, and definitely no boring headmistress, just the world. And since my dad is too busy to give me a summer workbook, I'm free. I hop on my trusty board and try to do a little jump... totally nailed it!

I live in a poor neighborhood, so skateboarding in the streets of London, where there are lots of rich people, is a pleasure. They need to understand that money and boring things don't make everything; they do nothing in your life except bore you to death. Rich people are pathetic, they think happiness is in money, but that's completely wrong. What makes happiness is fun, no matter how small it is!

I sit on a bench in a park nearby, open my water bottle, and drink the water inside. I have to say, it's really hot, even though we are in London, it should be cold here! I like the warmth, but not when it's this hot! This is unbearable! I hope I don't meet too many people, I heard this park is quite crowded! But I find people boring and stupid!

It's finally summer break! Which means, no more school! A nine-year-old blonde haired Tracey was excited for her summer break. She loved school, but didn't enjoy the bullying she was experiencing, even if her classmates were talking about her behind her back. She knew exactly what they were talking about.

Tracey is a metaphor and has been one since she was 6. Three years later and she still can't control her ability that well, but she's been making progress. Maybe she'll practice her control on her ability more.

But not today. Tracey wanted to get some fresh air and maybe draw in her drawing book as well. Plus there's a park nearby so she wouldn't be too far from home.

"Dad! Can I go to the park?" Tracey asks her dad who was still drinking coffee.
"Of course honey, just be back before it's dark," Stephen, Tracey's father says.

Tracey smiled happily and said bye to her grandparents before she grabbed her art bag which contained her drawing book, pencil, pencil crayons, markers, pencil sharpener, a ruler, and an eraser. Tracey then grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and placed it into her bag before she put on her shoes and left the house and walked to the park.

Once Tracey arrived at the park, she made her way over to where her usual bench is, but when she got there, she saw a girl, probably a year younger than her. Tracey decided to ask if she could sit with her so she said,
"Um, sorry to disturb you, but mind if I sit with you?"

A girl had just asked me if she could sit down?

I was close to saying no, but for some random reason—maybe kindness, maybe just not wanting to argue—I replied:

— S’fine.

I let her sit, but that didn’t mean I had to be friendly. Far from it. I put my bottle back in my bag and glanced at her. She seemed older than me but pretty frail, like a gust of wind could knock her over. She also looked kinda posh, with her polite way of talking and moving, so, driven by curiosity and my usual bluntness, I asked:

— You’re posh, aren’t you? If not, you sure look like one.

That would explain her little miss perfect manners—the type who never gets dirty or scrapes their knees.

The only posh kids I’d met before were two bratty blond girls in frilly pink dresses, always giggling about something dumb. And if this girl was posh, she’d definitely notice I was the opposite—messy hair, scuffed shoes, couldn’t care less about looking proper.

Now that I think about it, I did meet a nice posh girl once. She was a journalist—the good kind, the kind who actually listens.

Journalists understand people—well, the good ones do. They see past appearances. Not like most people, who just slap a label on you and call it a day.

After hearing the girl that it's ok for Tracey to sit down on the bench, she sat down beside the other girl, but kept some distance, so then Tracey won't be in the girls bubble. Tracey then sent her a smile as she said,
"Thanks,"

Silence overtook the two girls, and Tracey was staring off into the distance, unsure of what to say to the younger girl. Tracey basically looked at her surroundings and wondered if there was anything cool for her to draw, like a cool setting, but she couldn't see anything of that sort.

When Tracey heard the younger girl ask if she was posh, Tracey had to think of her answer before saying,
"No, I'm not posh. Nor am I a rich kid. Wait, unless those two are the same thing, than my answer is no. My appearance may look like I'm posh, but honestly, I don't try much, nor am I looking to impress others either. I like your fashion style, it's way better than mine,"

Tracey wasn't sure how the younger girl would reply to this, but perhaps Tracey would be able to make a new friend, or at least she hopes so. And the first thing in making a new friend, is to learn their name, so Tracey decided to introduce herself by saying,
"I'm Tracey Bailey. What's your name?"

Tracey had a feeling it'll take a lot of effort on her part in order to try and make a conversation with the younger girl. Tracey was just being nice to the girl, and though her clothes may appear not as beautiful or pretty like Tracey's, she still liked the casual look.

"If you believe me, then that's a good thing," Tracey says more to herself than to the girl she's sitting beside.

Silence followed, the only sound that was heard was the pebble that was kicked. Until the girl began speaking again. Tracey listened carefully to what she had to say before Tracey replied,
"I meant that I like how casual your clothes look. They look nice and comfy, while mine don't look much like that. I'll have you know that I have fashion taste,"

Tracey hoped that she and the younger girl who introduced herself as Lys won't get into a fight and nor would they end up becoming enemies. But she couldn't prevent it if it were to follow.

Tracey noticed that Lys didn't say what her last name was, but Tracey wasn't going to pyre Lys' last name out of her. If she didn't want to tell her, then she wouldn't ask her about it.
