Just a Bit of Quiet Reopened

Elizabeth stared in shock at what the older hufflepuff girl said. She was about to say something when her multicolored friend chewed the other girl out. Elizabeth smirked when her friend was finished but as her mouth opened she heard her slytherin friend chimed in and took Mari's side. Elizabeth had to think fast or a fight would break out but her anger overpowered her common sense. "Excuse me but are you the one getting beat up, are you the one who came up with this idea. No! You can't just interrupt without knowing the full story and just expect yourself to become leader! Also boys go through the same bullying as us girls and don't call it the girl game. When your talking about unprofessional that's what your ideas are! No boys is just sexist and your position on thinking your better than all of us first years are stupid. I know plenty of upperclassmen who I can recruit losing one like you won't be so bad!" Elizabeth was out of breath and furious. She turned around and saw Logan looking very frightened. Elizabeth's face softened and she apologized to the poor girl. "Listen I am so sorry my emotions get the best of me if you don't want to help that would be fine but if you decide you do want to join you can just write down the ideas so you won't be blamed if we do get in trouble because technically you won't get in trouble." Elizabeth ran and hugged her friend while saying "I am so sorry that you feel pressured and scared this is all my fault." Elizabeth still had hope for the group but didn't want to lose any friends.

Erin sneered slightly at Elizabeth, growling out at her,

'Don't get pissed that your being bullied, your making yourself an easy target. So stop doing whatever you're doing to get bullied.'

She ground her teeth together and hopped on the topic of Mari's idea of being "sexist',

'Well technically, from a statistical standpoint females get bullied more often than males, so technically Mari is right, and also I personally don't think she's being rude! And with your comment of knowing Upperclassmen, I frankly think that is a blunt lie.'

She straightened out her bleached overalls and black turtleneck, picking up her bag, as she looked around the library noticing how everyone was now watching them. Erin looked at Elizabeth, Logan, and Xyanne hoping one of them would join her beliefs; she stood staring into Elizabeth's eyes and sneered out loudly; hoping everyone would hear her.

'I wonder how you even got in Gryffindor, your just a coward. And by the way if you want to stop getting bullied; act like a Gryffindor.'

Turning on her heel, she glidded out of the library remembering a saying her father told her when she was younger:

Chin up Princess, or the crown will fall

The two girls worthy of multiple eyerolls had walked away, but not even a few minutes had passed before the multicolored Ravenclaw returned and launched into such a long speech that Mari thought she would die before it was over. When Xyanne finally finished her speech, Mari burst into applause and murmured simply, "Very nice. You go have fun then. Don't owl me when you get beat up."

Her eyes scanned the room as she took in the remaining girls, trying to gauge if they were going to be weenies like the two who had wandered off. They were certainly going to get beat up; Mari knew it. She hoped that Luna Choi wasn't lurking outside the library, like Mari assumed she did nightly, waiting to bully another innocent bystander. Since she hadn't been able to torture Mari all summer, Choi was probably ready to take revenge on whoever she came across first.

Thankfully, the Slytherin girl seemed to understand what logic was. Mari didn't normally like Slytherins, but heck, new year new Mari, right? She grinned widely at the newest member of Girl Gang and nodded to her sentiments. When she finished, Mari added, "She's right you know. I think the hat made a mistake! That wit should have brought you to Ravenclaw. It's September, first years; welcome to Hogwarts. I'd be happy to give you a tour...and, as leader of the Girl Gang, protect you. But that's only if you are willing to follow me."

Mari had spent almost all of her first year wandering the halls, since she didn't have any friends, so even though the Slytherin didn't know her, she was correct: Mari did know the corridors like the back of her hand. Of course, these days, she really only stayed in the Porcelain Palace, but they didn't know or need to know that.

Not really expecting what happened next, Mari's jaw dropped as she took in the words of the Gryffindor. Sexist? All Mari had been trying to do was form Girl Gang like this girl had proposed from the very beginning, to fight the bullies that had hurt this poor first year, and now Mari was sexist? She hadn't even come up with the no boys rule in the first place; heck, she had been forced to extend the invite to her current and future boyfriend(s)!

"I-" The tears began to flow; it seemed that "new year, new Mari" wouldn't extend to her tears. They dripped down her face slowly, certain to increase in speed and density if this girl continued her baseless accusations. "Excuse me. I did not come up with the idea, you came up with it! If you don't remember, I said that we needed to at least have my boyfriends in here. I was just trying to compromise on Girl Gang so we could all be happy and so that you wouldn't get beat up!"

If they continued, Mari just might have to throw a few punches to show that she was strong. But if you look at her stats, she has a strength of two so she really isn't. Thankfully, the Slytherin came back to her rescue, and once again, Mari agreed with all points. How could she not? This girl seemed like the most loyal member of Girl Gang she could ask for. Unfortunately, though, she started walking away without telling Mari her name. "Hey!" Mari called after her, "If you really want to join Girl Gang, I need to know your name!"

It was a frantic yell; without the girl's name, it seemed that the gang's list would have a grand total of one person: Mari. Whether the girl would come back or not, Mari would turn back to the least loyal members and mutter, "At least one of you has sense..."

It was a normal day. What a normal day to Luna meant a boring day. And if someone asked her what she would do on a boring day, well, to be fair, she would ignore them. However, if she by 0,001% chance answered that question, then her answer would be checking the library. Reading was one of her hobbies after all.

Spending time with people? That sounded like the worst suggestion ever. Especially in this school, where people around her ages were all idiots. How disappointing, calling them second years when they were as stupid as the first years. Want some example? Mari Haynes, the dumbest child she had ever known.

And speaking of the devil, she could see that girl's hair from where she was standing. How surprising, she thought an idiot like Water Tap would never come to this place. Well, why did troubles always have to show up whenever she came to the library?

Why would she call this girl idiot? People had to know what that girl did in the detention Luna gave her. When people cleaned bedpans, they had to use something to clean it in order not to hurt and make the hands dirty. However, this stupid girl used her bare hands to clean it. Yes, cleaning bedpans with bare hands, not anything else. What an idiot.

If anyone expected her to go and piss this girl off, then sorry but no sorry, she wouldn't do it. She hated that girl, but she had no interested in causing troubles to herself. Today was boring, but that did not mean she wanted to cause troubles to herself.

It seemed like that girl was talking to some people though. Should she go and tell them to be quiet in the library? No, that was a stupid question. She could already see Water Tap trying to get on a fight with her. That also meant she could give that girl another detention but seriously, she was not in that mood. She just wanted a peaceful day, just reading and reading.

Her brother had checked the library before her, and if she could recall, he said the fifth bookshelf, from the left, had some books about taking care of cats. Which was pretty interesting, she wanted to know more about cats so that she could know how to take care of Ray. She didn't like animals that much, but she liked her pet.

And the fifth bookshelf was... Luna mumbled, started counting. "...Stupid place." And that place was, right near the table where Water Tap was standing. Now she had a question for herself, about going there or not. But to be fair, if she had to choose between Ray and Water Tap, the result was already so clear.

While she was walking to them, Water Tap suddenly started crying. Here we go again. Acting like she could not see anything, the girl went right behind Water Tap and checked the books on the shelf. Her brother was not wrong...

Just because I said you were bad does not mean that I am mean. It shows that I am honest.

After all that the past year had done to her, what had a little girl named Kokonut learned? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Well, she knew how to do fun spells like incendio now, but she still hadn’t gained any common sense. She knew how to not lose her limbs in Professor Lian’s class and how not to stab her eye out with her wand, but that was about it. She had learned how to not get killed, but she hadn’t learned anything that would help her in a different type of situation. A type of situation where she herself inflicted damage, where she herself was not nearly a victim.

Koko had entered the library upon a disgusting scene. She knew it would be disgusting when she saw Bloodbath, and right as she saw the Hufflepuff, chills ran up her spine. This sucked. And it would likely get worse.

Then she saw the same girl who had been shoved into a thorn bush by some bastard. She had told the idiot Gryffindor to yell at him... apparently, she hadn’t taken Koko’s glorious advice to heart. ”Oh my God,” The Slytherin exclaimed, exasperated. ”Ae you still getting bullied by that idiot!?” And then her golden eyes shifted to shoot Mari a glare worthy of Hell’s fiery gates. ”And you, toilet girl, what do you think you’re doing here!?” Koko’s little pale fists were clenched, her right one slowly inching towards her robes which held her wand. She wanted to burn this kid, burn her right to the ground. She probably would have if they weren’t in the library. The library didn’t deserve to die even if this spit-blowing idiot did. Maybe Koko could unleash the worst magic ever upon this idiot kid... But not yet.

These children... Koko didnt understand why they couldn't just fight back. Well... She might not have fought back against Fridge during her First Year, but that had been because Fridge was a prefect. Koko supposed that she could now fight back, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to give up the good yet terrible position she had recently been given.

Speaking of certain household appliances... There she was. Fridge. The fear of Koko's life. Koko's eyes widened, and she felt something shift. Maybe it was her, maybe it was everyone else. She suddenly felt... Pretty. And she also felt as if she could do anything. Even confront the most terrifying prefect in the world.

That, dear reader, was easier said than done. The blonde girl turned to face Fridge and she took tone step towards the girl, full of confidence until the tip of her combat boots touched the floor. Then the adrenaline kicked in. "F-Fridge!? H-Hullo!" At least she wasn't crying. At least she wasn't shaking. Sure, she was stammering, but Fridge had made her jump out a window before. This was absolutely nothing.

She went back to glaring at Bloodbath. "You shot a spell at me, and now you think these gullible girls will listen to you? They might. But you're just as much a bully as that one boy is."

Elizabeth's anger dissolved when she saw the girl crying. Elizabeth felt bad and wanted to apologize but then all of a sudden the girl from the quidditch pitch stepped out and started yelling at Elizabeth. Elizabeth knew where the girl was coming from but she had a perfect idea. "Ok listen everyone I am not going to go beat those boys up, you guys go right ahead but this is my group and violence will be our LAST resort. I overheard a group called the order of the dawn talking and they are going to give those boys a taste of their own medicine and trust me those kids can fight. Anyways if you guys want to join our group welcome to any gender or ethnicity or house then just talk to me, but I make the plans and the rules and I was trying to make plans and letters but you guys decided to hop right in our little chat. I appreciate the concern but this happened to me and I am going to do something about it so if you have any information or concerns then go right ahead and tell me if you want to join the group owl me or say it right now. Your ideas will be put into consideration and we will vote but I am the leader mostly because this is my experience and I know the leader boy firsthand I went to school with him when I was little."

Yawning, Nico made her way through the halls. Her nightsleep wasn't very good. Pretty restless. The girls in her dorm were having a storytell night and here were some creepy stories in there. They gave the little dhampir quite a scare. Ironicly.

Today, she was heading to the library, hugging two books. One about dragons and another about... bears. After the handsome Huffelpuf had told her about these books about mythical creatures, Nico had become curious about them. After lots of doodling and abit of research, she decided to bring them back.

Carefully, she opened the door and quietly closed it behind her. Scanning the library, she noticed that it was ... well... abit crowded. And noisy.

Keeping an eye on them, she noticed a few familiar faces. The first she notied was the Slytherin girl, Koko. They once met at the Great Lake after she accidently dropped her pencil in the murky waters. A... scared girl.

And then.. there was Luna. Her trusted colleague. They've known each other for a while and Nico liked being around her. Respect was what she had for her.

Now, there was some commotion. Some girl seemed to be stirring up trouble and unnecesarry attention in a quiet place like this. It bothered Nico quite abit. Slightly annoyed she bit her lip. How inconsiderate...

Shuffeling over to the shelves, she placed the books back, when she heard the girls arguing. Gosh, really... right here? What on earth made them so pissed off to let everyone in the Library know? Slowely, she approached them from within the shadows of the shelves, passing by Luna, standing next to Koko.

'Miss Riddle..' She smiled warmly. After their talk about art Nico had become quite fond of the blonde Slytherin. 'Is everything okey? You girls are being quite loud.. This is a library, not a cafetaria. Here we don't raise our voices..' She folded her arms. Soon, she figured out who this was all about. Stirring up drama...

'Little chat? Everyone in this whole Library knows what's going on now... Good job.'

'So this is about bullies... I see.' To be fair, this situation brought up quite some memories with her aswell. Primary school was scary. Kids found her weird for well... Reasons these kids didn't know about. She was different, and some kids didn't like or tollerate different.

'You must know, this is only going to make things worse.' She eyed at the Gryffindor[Elizabeth] who had been yelling. Her eyes were iceblue. Cold. 'I know what It's like to be shoved and humiliated. You're not alone.' Her grip on her elbows tightened. 'You are NOT.. alone. If you truly seek help. Let others help out. There's no need for a leader. You have to work together... You're a group. Lean on eachother. You're equal.'

Nico's gaze never left the Gryffindors face. 'Stop doing things on your own.' Swiftly, the Slytherin flipped her red hair from out of her collar. She was bothered by this so called 'bravery' of this so called 'Gryffindor'. After hearing over their entire conversation, Nico couldn't help but cringe. 'If needed. I'll join this...' Nico looked over at the slightly crying Huffelpuff. '.. Girl Gang.'

Nico didn't like how the girl was belitteling everyone who wanted to help. It was ridiculous. This girl didn't seem to want to strategise and face these kids. She just wanted to be seen as a leader.
'You are not fit.. to be a leader.' Nico glared, her eyes showing a slight red hue.
No one saw it, except the little Gryffindor. This must've been the first time that a bit of her darker side slipped out.

'Get along and you will succeed..'

You're gonna need a bigger boat

Just a Bit of Quiet Reopened
Elizabeth narrowed her eyes at the newcomer. "By the way" she eyed Erin. "I am brave, much so that the boys even stopped their attacks after I stood up to them and created this group. Now I might have to leave, this is getting much to crowded and loud and I have meetings and different plans elsewhere than to stand here and yell at people who should be asking instead of assuming. I am not violent, all people are welcome if they ask, and everyone can share their ideas but all this yelling is making me annoyed when there are people out there getting bullied and picked on at this very moment. Also I am only the leader because I had this idea and I am the one who writes letters to people which is my only job. Everything else is voting, like members, ideas, and places to meet. So I am more like the founder instead of leader. Also I am sorry for calling you sexist and we hadn't come up with a name yet, I lost my temper. The name founded by the already other members of the group is called injustice. Now if you excuse me I am going to go recruit some more people and not stick around for more people to yell at me. I am sorry and if you have any questions or concerns ask me now or owl me later. If you want to join then ask now. i will want to recruit as many people and I would rather it be now because I am meeting the others in the great hall."
