Divergent Drifting Souls Club

This is the first meeting of the Drifting Souls Club. Our first universe is Divergent. I'll make a code and banner for the club later but for now I'm just sending it out. Remember that there is only a 50 WC for this thread.
Silva was nervous. It was the day she chose. The Choosing Ceremony. She already knew which one she was picking, but that didn't make it any easier. Her head jerked up when it was her turn. She stumbled up to the bowls and headed to the Erudite bowl. She trembled as she picked up the knife and nicked her finger. Erudite was where she belonged.
This is the Choosing Ceremony and all our characters are 16.

Avery was terrified. For the past 16 years of her life she had been an Erudite. She knew she had never belonged there. She longed for freedom. For a fresh life. A life not constantly full of logic and learning. She rode the elevator up to the floor where it would be. The Choosing Ceremony. The one thing that would change her life forever.

She watched others go up before her. Choosing their respective factions. After what felt like an eternity of waiting, it was time. Avery heard her name and stood up. The words faction before blood pressing down on her like a weight. She didn't know if she was ready for this.

Avery walked up to the bowls, grabbed the knife and looked at the bowls. Then she took in a careful deep breath and walked up to the Dauntless bowl. She slit the palm of her hand. Making sure to not cut too deep, and not drip any blood. Then she stuck her hand over the Dauntless coals. Blood dripped onto them with a sizzling sound.

Avery could hear the Dauntless roaring and cheering at her. She couldn't believe it. She had done it. She had defied all odds, and joined the faction her parents had warned her not to join. Now it was time to find out if she would pass, or if she would fail like countless others.

Was it concerning that Pam wanted to scream and run away?

Probably, right?

Not to mention she was still overthinking if she had made the correct choice. Having spent her entire life in candor, Pam knew she was going to leave it as soon as she could. The way she saw it, there was a thin line between being honest and not being allowed to keep secrets and Pam didn't like how close it was. She liked neither Amity now Abnegation. Both seemed to be polar opposites, one indulged, and the other gave. Two different sides of the coin.

And that left her with Erudite and Dauntless, which was where the actual debate arose. The intelligent vs the brave.... and Pam had no idea which one would suit her. Hence why she had decided to listen to her mother's advice.

Her mom knew her well. After she had got over the initial shock of Pam leaving their faction, she had agreed to help her figure out where she should go. Her mother had pleaded with her to not go to Dauntless, not with the danger she would always be in, and this was the main thought going through Pam's head as she watched others get initiated before her.

Her parents would worry for her anyway, so she figured the least she could do for them would be to not—

Her thoughts were cut off as her name was called, and Pam found herself stumbling over to the bowls. This was it. Time to make the decision which would shape her entire life. She scanned the five bowls, focusing on the one with water.

The bowl for Erudite.

She inhaled, gripping the knife and slicing it across her palm. She held her hand over the Erudite bowl, watching the water tinge with red. She had done it. She had left home and entered into completely new territory. Hopefully, it would work out for her.

Her parents were Dauntless, but she'd never fit in there. She hated it in Dauntless. So, the second she got the chance she knew where she was going. She was still terrified as she thought of leaving, but she was comforted by the idea of her older sister, Ellia already being in Erudite. Her hand still shivered as she sat down. Her family wouldn't be mad. Her mom had come from a different faction and they were already used to it after Ellia, but she knew they'd be sad.

She slowly got over her shock and began to think about what she'd do next. How did the initiation go in Erudite? Now that it was done, she was beginning to feel quite excited. She smiled a little bit
How do we want to continue it? Should we fast forward a few months or role-play out the initiation a little bit?

Avery was excited. Since the ceremony was over, it was her time to shine. She followed after the dauntless. He blue dress flowing as she ran. She couldn't wait to begin a life where she would really belong. Somewhere where she could be her real self instead of acting like someone else. She was free!

Once they had run down all the flights of stairs, she didn't know what was going to happen next. At least, until she heard it. The whistle of a train. That's when she realized her training had begun. She began to run when the other Dauntless around her began to. She wanted to keep up. She couldn't fail now and become factionless. Her family would be horrified at their failure of a daughter.

Avery ran close to the train. Unsure of whether she would be able to jump on or not. Well, it was a first time for everything. She grabbed onto the handle. The pull of the train startling her for a second before she snapped back into game mode. She yanked herself unceremoniously into the train, and was surprised to find some friendly Dauntless to pull her up. Welcoming her as one of their own now. What she didn't know was how much more she would have to do today. But, for now, it was time to enjoy the ride.
