That's great. After all it doesn't really matter what the result of the game is if you have supportive teammates. Linda replied with a smile. As she continued listening to Landon, she was amazed by how much he seemed to know.

Really? Could you tell me more about it or recommend something I can read? It sounds quite interesting and I'd like to know more. She mused. The only scary thing about it is that people are not willing to learn from past. As long as it happens, history will repeat itself. Linda sighed. It was great to learn from past and from mistakes, but sadly not everyone was interested in it.

That's great that you are constantly searching for more information. I guess it's great because no one can know everything and so the more you know, the more you can discover else. Life is endless lesson and so it's full of history.

Linda glanced at Landon. She was never particularly interested in history, but she couldn't deny that some things from it were fascinating even for her. Maybe she should try to learn more about it. Perhaps, Linda could find more things that would be fascinating to discover. It was never enough to learn something new. Learning was important part of life. Not only at school but also in life. Perhaps it was time for her to find out more about it.

Landon nodded as Linda said that what mattered in Quidditch was having supportive teammates. "Yes, I agree. They make the whole sport so much better. Not to say I don't love it on its own though. I love Quidditch and how it feels to be up in the air on a broom. I might be on the bench most of the time, but I love it all the same," he explained. He didn't feel any resentment that he was second-string Keeper. His turn would come one day, and right now he was still not ready to take on the responsibility of doing it by himself yet.

Landon's eyes lit up as Linda requested more information about Merlin and King Arthur. "Oh wow, that's... I mean, there are lots of books on them so it might take me time to get you a list of books to check out," he admitted. He smiled happily. "I love to research, so I'd love to get a list of books for you!" he said excitedly. He really enjoyed this sort of thing, but he couldn't think of book titles off the top of his head. "I'll send you an owl at some point." He was happy that someone was showing an interest in history. It really was a fascinating subject when you had the right teachers.

Landon hoped that he could help her find something interesting in history for her. "I also know there are fascinating women in history too. For example, Morgan le Fay is also important to the legend of King Arthur and there's more to be read about her in those sorts of books too!" He mentioned this because he knew that sometimes it was easier to find enjoyment in history when you were reading about someone like yourself. "Though she was a bit into Dark Arts so I don't know if she is a good role model, but still a fascinating person to learn about!"

Landon flushed a little as he realized he had been talking too much. "I'm sorry. I just get really fired up about history," he said and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.

Linda listened to Landon while he was speaking about Quidditch. I agree. The feeling of been in the air on broom is amazing. Especially if you are using not school broom but something else. She replied thoughtfully.

As Landon continued to speak, Linda was surprised by how he seemed to lit up. She supposed it could be something he's really interested in a lot, which later was proved by his words. She felt enthusiastic hearing about him preparing a list of books for her. That will be amazing. I will wait your owl then, thank you for taking time on it. She smiled happily pausing for a second. I didn't know about it. It would be wonderful to read all about it. Even if she was into Dark Arts. My father's family are all into it. With the last sentence Linda seemed to look a bit sad for a quick second before returning to her usual smile. You don't need to apologize. It was really amazing to see you so enthusiastic.

Enthusiastic wasn't the right word, but at the moment she couldn't find anything to describe that feeling better. It was always fascinating how people could suddenly be more energetic when talking about something they are really interested in. That's how it could usually be more obvious with what exactly the other person was more interested in.

Landon smiled. "I'd love to save up for a Firebolt some day to get a better broom, but I'm pretty happy with my broom now. I think I do really well with it, though I wouldn't say that I am good enough to be first string by any means," he explained. He was perfectly content with being second string Keeper for now. He really loved Quidditch and flying, so he was happy to participate as much as he could, even if it wasn't always playing in the Quidditch matches.

He was so excited to talk about history with Linda, despite knowing that the topic could easily bore some people. He just found the stories important and honestly a little entertaining at the same time. People could only learn from history, even if it was boring to them it was important to learn. "I'll send that owl as soon as I have the list," he said, a wide smile on his face. He could be very shy at times, but history made him much more talkative. "I understand that distancing yourself from your family's history can be hard, but it's also important to learn from it," he added. He didn't pass any judgment toward her family for the past, but he did know that there were things that shouldn't be done and the Dark Arts could easily be on that list.

He flushed when she told him that it was amazing seeing him be so enthusiastic. "I... I don't always talk a lot, but when it comes to history or Quidditch, I talk a lot more," he admitted sheepishly. He was happy to be able to talk about these things with someone who didn't immediately get bored with the topic.

Linda listened to Landon while looking at the sky. Turning her head back to look at him, she found that it made sense. I guess it'll be great - the feeling of saving up enough and getting this broom. She wouldn't know it. If Linda needed new broom, she could ask her family. But she didn't think she'd change her Silver Arrow.

She thought for a while about his words before speaking again. It is important to learn, so maybe I'll get to it later. I don't think I'm ready yet for that discussion. Maybe during next studying year. Linda said quietly. Talking about it would require time and wishing to listen. Being ready to hear anything and if it's not something she liked, she had to be ready to not overreact. She wasn't ready yet. It had to wait a little bit more.

Distracting herself from these thoughts, Linda looked at Landon and smiled. It was great to talk about something that he seemed to be so interested in. That's really amazing. It's actually fascinating how much we can talk when it comes to something we are fond of. She noticed it many times with different people and it always was rather fascinating. Even she could spend hours if the topic was one of her hobbies.

Is there anything else you like talking about? She asked curiously. Curiosity obvious in her voice as well as in her eyes. Could there be something else?

He noticed that Linda seemed to be momentarily lost in thought about the Dark Arts conversation. He stayed quiet, allowing her to think instead of chiming in on it. He knew what it was like to want to think about things and he didn't want to interrupt.

Landon smiled as Linda started to talk about what she was passionate about. "I'm not very good with art or things like that, but I do like to look at it," he said. "I'd love to see some of your work if you want to show me someday. Right now, you don't have to, nor do you have to at all," he explained. He didn't want to pressure her into sharing. Some art was personal, after all. "Musical instruments? What ones do you play?" he asked curiously. "I never really got good at any instruments, but I know the basics of piano."

It's definitely quite a good one. Though I can see that Firebolt could be even better. She smiled. Linda didn't have any intention on buying another broom. Her silver arrow was rather enough and she enjoyed using it so far.

Scary? Was she a bit scared about it? Perhaps hesitant would describe the feeling better. However, Linda wasn't sure. She didn't know what exactly it made her feel. Dark Arts could be something interesting to learn about. It all was depending on how someone was using their knowledge. If she learned it but didn't use for harm, surely it couldn't be bad?

Something she was passionate about? Drawing and photography. Those would be the next topic that I can spend hours talking about. Then it would be musical instruments and stars. She smiled. These were her main hobbies and she was certain she would never get bored with them. Certainly. Although, don't you find it fascinating? How much we can talk about something we are interested in? How hard it is to talk about something we have little interest in? Let's you understand easier whether another person really likes talking about certain topic or not.

Linda smiled in agreement. Spending family money was easy. But when she was spending her own, it was teaching her to value it more. Everything had a price and although she doubted she'd ever be poor, it was important to learn how to spend money, how to save them.

Sure, I can show you some day. I have a lot of drawings. At least 4 notebooks so far and I think I started fifth one already. Alternatively, I add drawing to my handmade gifts. So if there's any day I could make a gift for you, you'll likely find my drawing included. She smiled. Piano, guitar and drums. I am still thinking about learning something else. Cello perhaps could be her next target. Oh that's nice. Basics of piano is also quite enough for something simple. Some simple melodies can be great for expressing yourself through the music.

Stars and constellations. History and space. Everything was connected. It's also great. I like searching for different constellations rather than just looking at stars. It's always interesting to see what I can find.


She smiled enthusiastically. Do you know a lot about constellations? Or rather history. I'd like to know more if you know something I don't know yet. She could spend hours talking about it. And ironically enough, it was history again they could be talking about.

Landon smiled happily as she agreed to show him her drawings one day. "That would be great! I'm sure you are quite talented," he said genuinely. He knew that some people could seem like they were exaggerating, but he meant every word he said. "Piano, guitar, and drums? Wow, that's impressive!" he exclaimed. "I never tried guitar or drums, but I imagine drums are really difficult. Especially a full drum set. You'd have to move your legs differently than your arms, and that feels so overwhelming."

Landon sighed a little as she asked him if he knew a lot about constellations. "I'm not as great with celestial history, unfortunately, but I know that many of the constellations have stories in mythology. For example, Ursa Major has several myths, but the most commonly known one, at least by me, is the story of Callisto. Zeus loved her and Hera, his wife, was jealous, so she turned her into a bear... or there are other stories too, but that's the one I remember right now," he explained.

Landon smiled and looked at Linda. "I don't know how you keep doing it, but you get me talking a lot. I'm sorry for taking over the conversation," he said with a sigh. He felt bad being the one talking so much, but he was so passionate about history that he got fired up and talked a lot more. "I just really love history," he admitted with a laugh.
