Fangs and the Moon
It was midday. Quickly, the redhead dashed into a bathroom stall, covering her nose.
'D-damnit...'
Red drops trickled down her lips and chin. This hasn't happened before. Or has it? When she was younger, she got a bleeding nose because of a huge amount of stress.
Carefully she sat down on the closed toilet seat and used her sleeve to stop the bleeding. She got in here just in time too. No one knew so far. No one.
Sitting there in the dark stall, her gaze rest on the moldy scratched bathroom door. Many kids came here before. Lost souls looking for friends. A place to hide. A place to cry...
Many things were written on the wooden door. 'TRANSFIGURTATION SOCKS'. 'CARADOC BROWNE MORE LIKE CARADOC-'
The last part got scratched out. Maybe for the best. Highly inappropriate.
The bleeding slowely started to come to a halt. Which was good. Slowely, she lowered her sleeve. The stain was big. Very big. She'd have to send this uniform out with an owl for her mother to wash it out or something. But that was an issue for later. Her problem she had now, was her hunger.
She lost quite some blood and needed to resist her urges for... something terrible. The idea of the most obvious solution shook her and she quickly grabbed her bag. The iceblue hues in her eyes, shifted to a red glow. She had to hurry.
'W-where is it.. I just got a new stash, but where..' She mumbled out loud. Her pale fingers digged deeper in her bag to finally find what she had been craving for. Blood flavoured lollipops.
As if her life depended on it, she ripped off the wrapper and placed it in her mouth. Blissfully, she started to suck on it, leaning back. Just in case, she brought some snacks too. She couldn't soley depend on this candy. It would only make her cravings shift to actual blood. Luckily regular food was just as good.
She'd stay here abit longer... Until she could handle her daily routine again.

Carson had, unfortunately, been in the Abandoned Toilets a few times before. He held a general dislike for the place, as it held a somewhat eerie vibe that made his skin crawl. Ghosts were known to haunt the stalls, and as a muggleborn, well, Carson still couldn’t get over the whole “dead” thing.
Yet, here he was, bolting into the Abandoned Toilets and slamming the door shut loudly. His chest rose and fell heavily as he slowly inches down the door into a sitting posistion, leaning his head back against the rotting wood. He could hear the faint footsteps of the Prefect that’d been after him through the wood, and he held his breath as they passed by the door. It seemed they weren’t too fond of the Abandoned Toilets either.
Over his heavy breathing, Carson could hear rustling behind one of the stalls. His eyes grew wide— he didn’t know that people actually used these stalls. He’d thought that was why it’d earned the name The Abandoned Toilets, because, well, they were abandoned.
“Hello?” Carson called out hesitantly, getting up from his seat on the grimy tile floor and cautiously walking over towards the stalls, stopping a few feet away from them. It’d be terribly awkward if it was someone and they were actually using the toilet, but Carson found that doubtful, as the toilets here probably didn’t work anymore, to be honest. His best guess was that someone was hiding out in here, and his Hufflepuff-ness told him to go and try to comfort the person, that is, if they needed comforting.

It was not the first time Arc Perscivious went to the Abandoned Toilets. Heck, it was not the first time he pooped there. But today was different. Firstly, it was the start of the new school term and secondly, more importantly, he finally found an interesting book from the library. And he did not want to go all the way to the Ravenclaw’s Bathroom in the West Tower to read it. The book was called “101 Usages of the Packing Charm”. The writing was even stylized. How could you resist that?!Interacting with: @Nico Shymane & @Carson Miller
The pale boy always had so much trouble packing his stuffs and this book could very well solve one of his biggest problems in life. By the way, calling it a book might be an understatement. Since it was more like a tome or something. It was really big. Big and dusty. It probably had mites in it. Old mites. They might have generations of mites in it.
The dark-haired kid skilfully opened the old wooden door with his left elbow and arm since, you know, he had opened doors with two hands holding a book many times. As he entered, the already cold room went even colder, the dimly lit room turned ever so slightly darker, the shadows shifted around, the air felt thicker, and one could even taste the smell of rotten flesh permeated through the room. Anyone who felt it would certainly be creeped out, but fortunately there should not be anyone in the Abandoned-
Well, shit. Pun intended. Apparently, there was someone. A boy was looking at the stalls for whatever reason. Arc did not know him. But he looked somewhat nice. The Ravenclaw Prefect should probably greet the other boy. That was just polite after all. It was not often he met someone at the Abandoned Toilets.
“Hi! I don’t think we have ever met,” said Arc cheerfully with his most charming smile. “I’m Arc, Arc Perscivious. I’d offer a handshake if my arm is not so preoccupied.” He gestured and glanced at the tome he was holding. "What brings you to the Abandoned Toilets this fine day if I may ask?”

As she was quietly nibbling on the lollipop she suddenly heard the door slam shut. A soft squeek escaped her lips as she tried to stay quiet. Afraid that she allerted the person, she still hoped he or she didn't hear her. As relaxed as she was, that relaxation was now completely gone. Which lost soul got in here this time?
What to do... Her feet.. He'd be able to see her from underneath. Swiftly, she tried her best to pull her legs up, resting her feet against the door of the stall. Quickly collecting everything of her robes to not leave any marks of her presence. But it was too late.
The boy heard her. It was a boy... or a girl with a very.. deep voice. Either way.. She was caught.
“Hello?”
She heard his shoes, carefully walking around. He's probably examining the stalls. What now? She couldn't just sneak out. There was no way.
She could only stay perfectly still and hope the boy would think it was nothing. This was so awkward and weird. Nico started overthinking. What if it's a bully? He didn't sound very threatening but you can never be too sure. Pinching her eyes closed, she held the lollipop tight between her teeth, thinking, contemplating. Until suddenly... A second person arrived at the scene.
“Hi! I don’t think we have ever met." Odd. This voice seemed.. familiar. "I’m Arc, Arc Perscivious. I’d offer a handshake if my arm is not so preoccupied.”
Arc? From... the First Year Graduation party? What is he doing here? Apparantly he's carrying something with him. Lunch? A book? A... person? Was he.. Nah..
Nico felt less scared now, hearing someone she knew except she still needed to calm down her urges. Which was the main reason she came here. She decided to put down her legs again, gently and quiet. The boy she didn't recognise was probably startled or taken by surprise by the entrance of Arc. Nico was too...
The little dhampir decided to wait and carefully slipped a brownie from out of her bag to feed on. It wasn't well.. blood... But combined with the taste of the lollipops and the nutricion this pastry had, she could overcome this. Her parents thought her that that was the best way to get over the urges quickly. She'd be good for the rest of the time... Until well,... she'd bleed again for whatever reason.
Quietly nibbling on the brownie, she listened to the encounter, thinking when would be the right time to join them.

Carson’s head did a one-eighty when a voice pulled him away from his thoughts. It seemed that he was so occupied with finding out what the rustling was, that he didn’t notice another person enter the room.
“Hi! I don’t think that we have ever met.” the voice chirped, sounding much too cheerful to be in the Abandoned Toilets. The boy standing in front of Carson seemed somewhat familiar... Carson was sure he’d never spoke with him, but he must’ve seen him around the halls before. “I’m Arc, Arc Perscivious. I’d offer a handshake if my arm was not so preoccupied.”
Ah. The Ravenclaw Prefect, fortunately not the same one he’d been running from seconds before, but a Prefect nonetheless. Arc spoke like an adult, and acted like one too—with handshakes and all. Admittedly, Carson never offered to shake anyone’s hand when he first met them, unless they were like, important or something.
He was holding a large, dusty book under his arm, tucked between the folds of his Ravenclaw robes, his shiny Prefect’s badge gleaming on his chest. Who on Earth would come all the way to the Abandoned Toilets to read? Voluntarily?
“What brings you to the Abandoned Toilets this fine day, if I may ask?” he still spoke like he was much older than he was, or at the very least, he was extremely polite. He must’ve been raised by fancy parents or something, right?
“I’m— er,” Carson wasn’t the best liar, but he wasn’t the worst. Either way, he wouldn’t be caught dead telling a Ravenclaw Prefect that he’d been running from a Prefect not seconds before. He was positive that this kid would give him detention, no matter how ploite he seemed.
“I’m looking for something.” he decided, shooting the boy what he hoped was a winning grin. “I’m Carson, by the way.”
“Why did you bring a book to the bathroom? Multitasking?” Carson joked, laughing a little at the end. It was either that, or this kid really liked the Abandoned Toilets— and Carson really hoped it was the former, because he couldn't picture anyone hanging out in the Abandoned Toilets in their free time.

"Ah, it is nice to meet you, Carson. I don’t think we have properly met.” But he certainly had seen him before, though. And that name was inside the list of student body. The young Ravenclaw was sure of it. So, Carson was not an intruder. Ehem. He really should not think that way and be paranoid with every encounter he had with students he hadn’t properly acquainted. It was not healthy. And tiresome. But after what happened in the Blossom Ball last semester and what Erin had said… It was better to be safe than sorry.
“And well, it is not exactly multitasking, per se…” The boy shrugged while still hugging the tome. The huge book almost squished his sleeping pet rat hidden inside his pocket. Oops, sorry, Fortis. “I know it sounds odd, but I like reading in the bathroom. It’s like my second go-to place to read after the library.” Arc chuckled. “It helps me concentrate somewhat. Like the change of pace makes me sharper again. And this place was pretty close to the Library. And it's usually, you know, abandoned. So, well, here we are.”
The dark-haired kid took a few steps closer to Carson. “What are you looking for, by the way?” Arc said while taking in his surroundings. A book? A secret stash? Was there like a hidden room from the Abandoned Toilets?! That sounded exciting. “I can probably help you. I might not look like it, but I’m pretty good at solving puzzles and finding hidden stuffs.” He stopped a couple steps from the boy. Wait. What was that? With the sudden silence, he could hear a…munching sound? Ah! Was the other boy looking for his missing pet? A cat? A mouse? A pillow shark perhaps?! Nah, that would just be silly. He better not made any speculations. Arc should just listen from Carson directly.

Oh shit. Carson had forgotten how curious Ravenclaw tended to be when he’d lied to the boy— it was fine, though, right? He could think of a plethora of things that he could’ve lost, after all, it wasn’t very uncommon for him to loose things.
“No.” he answered, in response to Arc’s question about a pet. “I’m uh— looking for a friend?” Okay, he shouldn’t have said that. Why on Earth did he say that? He should’ve said he was looking for a book, or something— maybe even an assignment. Not an actual living person.
“Yeah, uh, we said that we’d meet up here for a... for a project.” he lied, grinning at Arc with as much charisma as he could muster. Carson couldn’t say that he prided himself on being able to lie well, but then again, it turned out that he was a lot better than he previously thought he was.
“I was just about to check the stalls. Wanna help?” he asked, thinking he could make a friend of Arc. The boy, albeit a bit strange, seemed nice, and Carson would never say no to another friend.
Carson walked over to one of the stalls, knocking on it before pushing it open carefully. Okay, maybe it was a little weird that his “friend” would be hiding from him in the stalls, but it was all he had at the moment.

Her time was running out fast. They had just decided to check the bathroom stalls. The first one that opened wasn't the one she was in. Luckily.. She was in the last one.
Hearing the door being pushed open, little hairs on her body stood up right. Why was this situation so scary to her? Nervous, she continued to munch and thought about every possible scenario in her head. Looking up, she could maybe jump over to the other stall if they had already been checked. But... she'd have to time it perfectly so that both Carson and Arc wouldn't hear or see her.
Nah... That option was too much of a hassle.
She eyed at the bottom of the stall. Maybe she could slip through it. Knowing herself though, she wasn't the most quiet one. She'd probably get stuck halfway or hurt herself.
That was a no aswell..
Quietly sighing to herself she knew she had only one option left. She could maybe spook.. whoever would find her first. She took another, last bite of her brownie. That would be... what she would do. That was it. No way she could just open the door and act as if she never eavesdropped their conversation.
Whoever would find her, would get the time of their life. Without a sound she carefully shoved away whatever she had left and waited for her time to strike.

“I’m uh— looking for a friend?” Wait. What? He sounded unsure. “Yeah, uh, we said that we’d meet up here for a... for a project.”Interacting with: @Nico Shymane & @Carson Miller
That…did not make a lot of sense. Meeting up with a friend in the Abandoned Toilets? For a project? That sounded like a lie. Or some kind of mischief. Either way it was not something good. “Really?” Arc said, raising his eyebrows.
“I was just about to check the stalls. Wanna help?” Carson said before walking over to one of the stalls, knocking on it, and opening the door.
Ah. It got even weirder. Very suspicious indeed. Why would his own friend that would do a project with him hid in one of the stalls? Unless, it was a very weird friend. Or the project included hide and seek somewhat. Or, well, the simpler explanation, there was no friend. And when in doubt, Occam’s Razor, right?
If that was so, there might be someone or something hiding in the stalls that might be disturbed. Ugh. That would be bad. What if that person was pooping? Worse yet, what if that person was reading a really interesting book and they were getting to the good part?! That would pooped them big time. Pun intended. The dark-haired boy needed to find the stall the hidden person was hiding and stopped Carson before he opened it.

(Wisdom Check. Roll+8. Natural 20 (28). Arc found out that the hiding person was inside the very last stall.)
There! He could hear a soft munching sound from the very last stall. The young Prefect walked quickly towards Carson. And stood right next to him while looking at the other boy like he was seeing a scary banshee or something. He would try to physically block his way from opening the door if he ever got close and tried opening it. Before that, though, there was another thing he could try…
“Ah, Carson. I would not do that if I were you.” Arc said with a slightly spooked voice. “It would be alright if it’s actually your friend. I don’t know why he is hiding from you, though. But it would be bad if it’s someone else,” he gave a brief pause to let his word sink in. “Have you heard about…um…” Time to bring out the big guns. “Kaegen? Kaegen Deathmote?” Arc’s voice got smaller almost into a whisper. “He…um…blew up this toilet once and some people got really hurt. Like actually bleeding and needed treatment for days."
Sorry, Kaegen. Arc was sure the rumor was just exaggerated and his fellow Ravenclaw was not as bad as it sounded. Doing this was certainly not helping the rumor died down as well. Sigh. "And trust me when I say there are even crazier people than him that likes to hide in here.” He shook his head while still hugging his tome. “You don’t want to find out, Carson, seriously. You don't want to bother them. Curiosity killed the cat.” Not the lovely one in Mars, though. You would never be forgotten, Curiosity.
If Carson still tried to open the doors, Arc would try to block him with his body. But he would not give that much resistance. He did not have that much physical strength, anyway. If he really insisted on it, the Ravenclaw would give way for him.

“Ah, Carson, I would not do that if I were you.” Arc cautioned, causing Carson to raise an eyebrow with an amused expression. Voicing Carson’s earlier thoughts about the strangeness of the situation, Arc’s voice dropped in volume as he told Carson of a dude named “Keagen Deathnote”.
“He... um... blew up this toilet once and some people got really hurt. Like actually bleeding and needed treatment for days.” Arc explained, his eyes slightly wide as his face morphed into one similar to Carson’s when he was trying to scare his younger sister with a made-up story to mess with her. Arc was barking mad if he thought that would work on him, on the contrary, it only made him more curious to see who was in the stall.
“... Curiousty killed the cat.” Arc finished, and Carson only realized that he’d been zoning out until after he’d finished speaking. Truthfully, his mind was running wild with the possible outcomes of him opening the door, and he’d now come to the decision that he was definitely opening it.
“Dude, chill.” Carson laughed, taking a step towards the stall door Arc was standing in front of. “You can’t tell me you aren’t curious about what’s behind that door.” Carson grinned, hoping to sway the boy’s position on the topic. “You are a Ravenclaw, aren’t you?”
Carson shot the boy another shit-eating grin as he lightly pushed past him, opening the stall door to find...
