Rosalyn was born on February 13, 2008, in Manchester, England and is the middle child of the Wolfharts. She has an older brother, Cedric, who is eighteen and just recently graduated from Durmstrang, and a younger brother, Theodore, who is only five years old but has already shown magical potential. Her parents, Martha and Luke, work for Cyrus Langley’s parents for their zoo business. They often take the smaller and less dangerous animals and mythical creatures out for petting zoo showcases for both muggles and magic users alike, of course not at the same time.

Sometimes she would accompany her parents at their jobs, doing small tasks with her mother or father during the day. Sometimes she was even allowed to wander around on her own to play with the animals. It was her favorite pastime to partake in, and is what she wants to do when she graduates as well. Taking over the family business rather than working as an Auror like Cedric sounded far more interesting and rewarding to the eleven-year-old.

Working so closely with animals helped bring about her magical instance, which occurred when she was eight years old during one of their petting farm showcases. She had wanted to play with the baby Pygmy Puffs so badly that she was able to unlatch the pens despite being far too small to reach them (she is shorter than children her age) since they had been moved to the inner pens to rest for a bit. Luckily no creatures or people were harmed when the little balls of puff escaped, but she still felt bad later on at the potential injuries she could’ve caused due to her recklessness had she unleashed a different creature from its pen. These feelings weren’t shared by her parents, however, as they were elated that their second child also possessed magical abilities; they had feared she wouldn’t be able to when many years went by and nothing had happened.

Her mother, Martha, and the strange side effects Rosalyn had begun to feel more strongly than before started soon after she experienced her first magical instance. Martha is a Dhampir, with her father being a Dhampir and her mother being a full blooded vampire. Due to Rosalyn’s father, Luke, being fully human, she is only one quarter Dhampir, and isn’t aware of her family’s further history past her grandparents. Her mother doesn’t like to talk about her side of the family often, quite obviously because of the dark memories she is reminded of when doing so.

Life with Martha’s parents wasn’t an easy one, they were constantly hounded by random Dhampir’s on their choice to get together and have a child, mixing the pure lineage of the vampire with a “filthy” human. Yet Martha’s parents ignored all of the cruel remarks thrown their way, their love stronger than any string of words could ever hope to be, and together they were able to survive all hardships that came their way.

One day, when Martha was sixteen, her parents were murdered and someone had attempted to send her to her grave as well. However, she was able to get away thanks to her parents’ last-ditch effort to distract their assailant. It worked and bought Martha enough time to flee, although to where she didn’t know. That’s when she ran into Luke and he helped her hide, though she didn’t have to be in hiding for long. Her parents’ killer was found shortly after their deaths, and was found to be a pure blood vampire that wanted to cleanse the vampire name by taking out all those who weren’t pure.

For some reason or another, Martha didn’t hold any resentment or hatred for the man who took away her parents, instead, she wept for him. He was incredibly misguided in her eyes, and it was sad to see someone so far gone that it broke her already shattered heart more.

Rosalyn’s parents decided to keep her specialty a secret from her for most of her life, not wanting word to spread about what she was for fear of her becoming a target as well. Thus she wasn’t told of what she really was until she was eight and began showing signs of both her parents’ heritage, such as her first magic instance and her fainting from not getting enough nutrients to sustain her abnormal self.

At first the news tore at her, weighing heavily on her heart. She didn’t know whether to consider it a blessing or a curse that she was anything but just human, and that she had to rely on blood to keep herself alive even if she was still mostly human made her feel sick. Despite having had it for so many years, she had been blissfully ignorant to the fact that it was blood because her parents disguised it far too well for her to notice any difference. What was even stranger was how she had missed the signs from everyone in her family, including little Theo. Since he had awakened his magic very early, the signs of the Dhampir side of him grew even stronger than before (or just even more prominent to Rosalyn’s new lens).

The aspects of her race that are evident on her are the pale, corpse-like and sensitive to sun-light skin and grey tinted eyes, however hers are more blue with just hints of grey in the mix. She is also missing her canines in a sense for if a regular person were to look at her, although the gap where they would be is quite small since she herself is petite enough.


Rosalyn is a kind and gentle soul who doesn’t care for a person’s status. Her parents are both half-blood and possess magical abilities like all of her siblings, thus making her a half-blood as well. She cares more for people’s safety than how much of a prodigy they are, and will try to befriend anyone and everyone no matter what their background is. However, this also means that she wears her heart on her sleeve and is easy to betray for she is far too trusting of others, always giving them the benefit of the doubt even when she obviously shouldn’t. Despite knowing all of this about herself, she refuses to change and will accept any and all hardships that she might encounter.



Rosalyn has long, golden blonde hair, crystal blue eyes, and porcelain skin. Her hair reaches down to her lower back and falls in gentle waves. Along with her tresses are bangs that frame the sides of her face, held in place by two silver clips on both sides. Rosa typically keeps her hair neat and usually down, sometimes accompanying it with some sort of accessory besides just the hair clips. Her light-colored eyes hold a gentle warmth in them that is only rivaled by her bubbly and friendly smile, which can be seen dancing across her light pink lips quite frequently (if not always). She is rather small for her age, standing at a mere four feet and eight inches and weighing a measly eighty pounds. Despite her petite stature, she still enjoys the typical things kids her age like to do, such as playing games and participating in sports.

Rosa doesn’t typically care for the latest fashions going around her peer group, usually choosing cute and comfortable material or aesthetic. However, due to her mother taking her shopping quite often, she does have clothes that even the snobbiest of people would wear. However, she tends to wear these clothes for special occasions rather than just everyday wear. Her typical, daily outfits consist of bright colors and loose-fitting styles.
