“Okay, since you can sing the lower note without sounding like a dying seal, you can do the majority of them.. well, only if you want too that is!” She wasn’t about to force Koko to sing all the low notes, but she was scared if she did she would make a fool of herself.

“Okay, major key’s good!” She said strumming a few chord in the major key that sounded good together. She continued to experiment humming to the sound the guitar. “Yeah, I think I could play something on the guitar.” She said turning to Koko and smiling warmly.

When Sylvie would write, or attempt to write a song she would usually start with the melody and what the song was about. It was hard to write good lyrics without a melody in place and an idea of what you were actually writing. Koko was working on the melody on a piece of paper, and Sylvie felt like she wasn't contributing that much. "Okay Sylvie, come up with an idea for the song, a GOOD IDEA. Don't do one of your stupid ideas that would probably make Koko weirded out." Sylvie tapped the pencil on her leg quickly trying to think of some idea that could help out with this situation.  "Okay, like I said we c-could do a generic love song, which could be fun, but I don't really have much love in my life to draw inspiration from so yeah." She laughed awkwardly and mentally slapped herself in the face.  "Beautiful Sylvie. Absolutely beautiful." She tried to think of more ideas, but she was too embarrassed from what she just said. "O-okay I think C major sounds g-good."

"Don't worry about it; I'm fine with it." Koko shot a smile at Sylvie. Anything was fine with her. Especially music-wise. It would be best to not overthink this. Koko didn't want to overthink it, and overthinking it would just lead to confusion. "Good, good!" she said, her eyes alight. She was feeling much better about this now.

A-a love song!?! the young Slytherin's eyes widened at Sylvie's suggestion. It wasn't weird or anything... Koko just felt very young, and she also felt as if it would be much more difficult to write a love song without a bunch of experience in... well... love. Sure, she had experienced family love, such as how Victor felt about her and how she felt towards him, but she didn't even remember having a crush. Maybe a preschool crush, but she didn't even remember that! So how could she do this? "I- well... Uh...." Koko bit her lip. Crap. She felt stupid. "I don't think I would be good at that. I don't have... uh... any... experience in the subject." She frowned slightly, brainstorming.

Koko's gaze swept around the room. It was a nice room with wonderful acoustics, but she doubted that she would find inspiration here. Perhaps one day she would change that. But not now. Koko's thoughts drifted to all of the stories that she had read before... Something about a story... "Perhaps we could write a song that tells a story? It's all I can really think of."

"Okay!" Sylvie said, returning Koko's smile. She was glad she wouldn't be making as much of a fool of herself in front of this girl. She was going to be spending the next seven year with her unless something happened. Also, Koko seemed to be happy with this arrangement, so that made the whole thing even better!

From the look on Koko's face, it appeared that the generic love song idea was something that probably should've stayed in Sylvie's head. "Oh god she looks so shocked! I shouldn't have said that! I should've just kept my stupid mouth shut!" Koko said that she also didn't really have experience in the subject.  Her face turned a bit red with embarrassment from the fact that she'd even thought of that idea, let alone mentioned it when both of them had barely any experience with love collectively. She did have a crush on a girl at her muggle school, but they hadn't really talked much now she was at Hogwarts.
"Perhaps we could write a song that tells a story? It's all I can really think of."

As a girl who loved to write and read stories, this idea made Sylvie light up. "Yes! A story sounds like a brilliant idea!" She exclaimed, tapping her pencil on the paper. "We can do that if you want! If we did, would you like to retell and old story, like a fairy tale, or come up with a new one?"
