This is the stats and different rolls for the Battles in the Battle of the Bands Club. You can find and sign up for the club here.

It's time for the Battles to begin. Not normal battles, full of pain and blood and death, but battles of music. Filled with just as much effort, if not more than any normal battle. Because there you die. Here you learn.

Now that we've got the cheesy speech out of the way, this is where all stats and rolls will be stored. In the next sections it will have the rules on your skill in instruments, your skill in songs you play, the rolls in battle, and rounds.
Instruments

You choose your characters initial skill in their instrument in the form you use to sign up with and you can change it when you want, but this section is to give you a general thought on when you might want to increase your skill. If you are at skill 1 then with five posts of practicing solely that instrument you go up a skill level. At level 2 it takes six posts. At level 3 it takes 7 posts, and so on. Keep in mind that this is all optional.
Songs

Each character has a specific skill at a specific song. For instance, you're playing two songs. Believer and Viva La Vida. You're a skill of 6 at believer and will get 6 added to your rolls whenever you play it, but you're only a 3 at Viva La Vida and therefore get less added to it when you play. This part of battles is not something you just get to randomly choose. Instead, to get a skill point in a particular song, you have to write a post about practicing the song in which at least 100 words of the post were about practicing. You can practice as much as you want in a thread but not get more than one skill point per post. Also you cannot get more than 8 skill points in a specific song.
Rolls
In the battles there are rolls done for each person. I will roll a d20 for every person in a battle. Each roll will have two things added to it. Your skill in whichever instrument you're playing and your skill in the song. Keep in mind that your skill in the song maxes out at 8. Once rolls are done then I will compare total scores of the teams and whichever has more wins the round.
Rounds

Every battle includes two rounds per band. Everyone pairs up into rounds and battles. The winners battle each other for first place and the losers battle for the highest place they can get. It's not a perfect system, but it's the best we can get with how many people we have. If you joined the club after teams have been decided then you will form your own team with me or one of the leaders backing you up. The exception to this would be if you have a low skill level and can join a disadvantaged team.
I pick the teams to make sure that they're as fair as possible. Each team is created by comparing the sum of all the highest skills in instruments. I will tell you if your team is disadvantaged and by how much. If you are between 1-3 points of disadvantage to your opponent then no action will be taken, but if in a rare case there is a disadvantage greater than that then I will add the amount of points that you are disadvantaged to your roll.

Every time a new date and theme for a battle have been chosen I will post here. If you have any questions about this please post below with a question or owl me. I don't mind which. Sorry if it's really confusing.

If you have any problems with these teams please owl me and I will attempt to fix them. I recommend owling your teammates too as you want to see what their ideas are for songs. Also if you have any questions about the date or the theme feel free to owl me then too. Basically just owl me if you have anything to say about this.

And then Eonaria, Callum, and Yolanda against Lyanna and whoever ends up joining her (most likely me and one other person)

Also adding some quick things I'm asking of you. Could one member of each team send me an owl that includes a team name, both songs they're performing, and any times they practiced sometime before the battle. Doesn't matter when as long as it's before it happens.
