Denise always had an uncanny relationship with Astronomy. Even though she found the homeworks frustrating (who would want to remember all the moons of different planets), she has a very keen interest in observing the patterns of stars and galaxies. They were so unpredictable in nature and mesmerizing at the same time.
On a fine Sunday morning, she thought of visiting the Astronomy tower. She was stuck with her homework since Saturday, which she spent enjoying time with Arden instead of completing her homework. It was high time she completes it as it's submission date is on Monday. Very well Denise, this weekend also you will be stuck with homeworks, Denise scoffed to herself. She was definitely not enjoying Hogwarts.
She made her way towards the fight of stairs, quickly but steadily. The steps were kind of steep and a single wrong step could possibly lead to a few mild fractures. She wasn't prepared for it yet- maybe later but not now.
Once Denise reached the Astronomy tower, she carefully observed her surroundings. Noticing no entity to be present besides her, she comfortably unpacked her homework materials from her bag near a big telescope. She carefully handled down the enchanted orreries from the nearby shelf which showcased the arrangement of planets. She was surprised, honestly. She took hold of a quill and spinned it absentmindedly before focusing her left eye into the telescope set up infront of her. She was bad with adjustments, she could never figure out where the exact position of planets were.

Avery was excited. Tonight was clear, and the perfect time to get a chance to view the stars. The moon was also at its fullest, so that made everything perfect. All she had left to do was walk up all those steps. Not exactly Avery's favorite thing, but at least she would be in shape for when she was accepted to be a Seeker in the Gryffindor Quidditch Team.

She walked carefully up each step. Not wanting to risk slipping and falling. She had almost done that once while on the way to the Owlery. She had learned her lesson after that. She was lucky that she hadn't broken or bruised anything. As she approached the top, she breathed in a sigh of relief. Now it was finally time to have fun.

She walked into the room and was surprised to find another girl, probably a first year like her, standing at one of the telescopes. Since it was Sunday night, she didn't expect anyone else to be up here. Avery didn't mind though. She was still going to try and get a head start on seeing the planets and stars before class. That would make Avery's night a lot more interesting than just sitting in the Common Room and watching games of Wizard Chess.

Denise was startled slightly at the sudden arrival of a visitor. It was a girl wearing red robes, supposedly from Gryffindor. She has beautiful long wavy hair which were mesmerizing upon the shining moonlight. Denise fixed her attire out of nervousness and started fidgeting with her cufflinks.
"H-Hi!" Denise paused. Why was she stuttering? Is it because she got an unexpected spectator or the fact that she might have been caught in a bad composure. She cleared her throat meticulously and continued, "Denise Garcia here. What about you?"
Her words seemed to echo through the magnificent hollow infrastructure of the Astronomy Tower. She was shaking with such integrity that she had to stride a bit on her spot to make it look like a normal act. Her social anxiety was getting at its peak. She wasn't like this earlier, instead she was described as the most extroverted child in her hometown. She had this exceptional ability to befriend anyone and anywhere irrespective of time.
"Soo I came here to get my homework done. I suppose you might also have a motive for your presence here? Not that I am questioning haha it's just pure curiousity."
Denise's eyes twinkled brighter that any stars, it was something her mother used to say. She hoped it was true even though she was not at all famished by her exterior features and believed in internal beauty but she wanted to make a good impression on this unexpected encounter.

Avery turned around in surprise. She hadn't expected the girl to say anything, but she was happy to make conversation with her. It would make the assignment Avery had to do a lot more fun! "Hi Denise, I'm Avery Gray." Avery responded to the girl, Denise.

"Yeah. Tonight was the only night that I actually had a chance to come up here to finish this assignment. It isn't hard, but it does take careful precision when looking at the stars. Maybe we can work together, if you want?" Avery hoped that she wasn't making the girl uncomfortable with her question, but it would be nice to work together. It helps make the work get done faster.

While Avery waited for the other girl's response, she turned back to the telescope and began to adjust it. Making sure that she turned it just the right amount, so that she would be able to see the stars clearly. She wanted to be precise with this assignment, since she loved everything science, and wanted to show the teacher she knew what she was doing.

She was fascinated with how clear the constellations were tonight. She didn't see any planets, yet, but she knew they were there. Waiting to be discovered by her eyes. She couldn't wait to see what she would find tonight. Especially with how clear it was!
