Once she had taken Clark to the hospital wing to have his head looked at, EmmaLee told him that he would need to meet her in this classroom on Saturday morning and she had left in search of any of the house elves. Once she had found one, she asked them if they would be able to sort out the bedclothes from Hufflepuff dorms and bring them to that classroom.
Now she stood among baskets of white and yellow bedclothes feeling a little clever at her first detention idea, admittedly. She had also acquired a few large basins of water, some laundry soap, and some clotheslines. Maybe if Clark had to clean the Hufflepuff bedclothes the hard way, he would learn to leave, at the very least, Logan's bed alone. Maybe there would even be some other clothes that were particularly soiled or him to toil over and he would forget about another bed-soiling prank in the future.
Moving the desks against the walls of the classroom to give Clark some space for him to work, EmmaLee wondered if she should hang the few clotheslines she had found for him or let him figure out how to do it. She opted that if he wanted help, he could ask, and walked over to the empty teacher's desk so that she could do homework and watch him as he completed his task.
When Clark came in later, she explained that he would be washing the bedclothes for the Hufflepuff dorms by hand and without magic. He would need to wash, dry, and fold everything here.
"Good morning, Clark. I think that maybe you ought to learn just 'ow much of a pain it is to clean the messes you make, for your prank victims and for the 'ouse elves. So today I am 'aving you wash all of the bedclothes for all of the 'Ufflepuff dorms. You will do it by 'and and without magic of any kind. Your potato mess should be in there somewhere, please take extra care to wash that particular mess well." She said. "Do you 'ave any questions?"
Detention Rules and Expectations
1. You will need to post a minimum of three posts at a minimum of 200 words each for each section of the detention (washing, drying, and folding), but posting three posts without completing the tasks EmmaLee assigned above will not result in a satisfactory completion of your Detention.
3. Please include your word count for each of your posts somewhere in your post and tag me in your posts.
4. Double posting rules do not apply in this thread. You are not obligated to wait for EmmaLee to make a post before you continue with your other posts.
5. You may not join ANY new RP threads until you have successfully completed this Detention. You are free to continue to post in any threads you do have that are ongoing at this time, however.
6. Remember, please, that your OOC self is in no trouble whatsoever. Your IC self could get detention everyday if that is who they are, and it would not be detrimental to your OOC standing in the community later on if you wish to be a Professor or a Prefect, etc.
7. I will most likely not post in here again, but that may change depending on what you do or if you would like interaction from EmmaLee.
8. Owl with any questions.

DETENTION - Elbow Grease
425/200Clark stared at her in disgust. How dare she think it wise to give him detention after he gets injured, and no matter how dramatic he was, he still got hurt. How rude was that? He mumbled, staring at Emmalee. “You forgot to give Logan detention. She’s not innocent, you know. There’s a reason I’m hurt.” He groaned, his voice reverberating with obvious disgust.
His stomach grumbled, the feeling weird. It was like his insides were groaning and was trying to escape his body so they did not have to deal with the punishment as he physically had to. As an attempt to squelch the grumbling, he put both of his hands under his ribcage and pressed hard. He did not hear the grumble but when he loosened the pressure he initially put on the body, he heard it again.
Great.
He looked back at the girl, a look of disgust and discern clear on his face. “Okay.” He said, admitting defeat.
He was expected to do laundry, which was a major ick. However, it was not going to stop Clark. He reached down to grab a pillow cover, this one incredibly pink, which was.. ew.
Clark grabbed a brush and drenched it into the soapy water, scrubbing it as hard as he could, hoping that it would satisfy the prefect beyond all measures. He looked over at the pile, hating the sight. Way too much to wash and do. He had a flashback of his first year at Hogwarts, where Magdalena made him wash dishes by hand.
Well, at least these were not nasty and slimy like the dishes were. He set the pink pillow cover off to the side, moving onto the next sheet, this one black and white with an irregular zigzag pattern. Gross! Did all of these come from the girls dormitory? Those are horridly not his style.
But regardless he would keep scrubbing. He drenched it in the soapy water and scrubbed, again as hard as he could muster. He set it asides.
He saw a white sheet with a yellow stain on it and didn’t say anything but his mind raced, knowing he did not want to touch it. Ew. ew. Ew.
He threw it into the water, grabbing the brush and specifically scrubbing the stained part, hoping to make it whiter than snow. He continued to scrub as hard as he could. This would’ve been easier with magic, not without.
No prevail.
Ugh, well the sheet was washed, so he threw it asides to keep scrubbing the sheets.
→ OC: Because too many people in hufflepuff, I got to 200 words washing/scrubbing the sheets so I’m gonna move on to the next post.

DETENTION - Elbow Grease
233/200Clark stared at the huge pile of wet sheets and felt that his arm was as sore as it could possibly be. How was he going to dry the sheets?
An idea appeared in his head, it was not traditional but he didn’t feel the abandoned classroom was large enough for hanging all of the sheets, given that Hufflepuff had a ton of people in its House. He groaned, knowing that wet sheets were unnecessarily heavy.
He grabbed the first sheet and moved away from the pile, bringing it over to one of the empty desks and he laid it out. He tried to make it as flat as he could, despite knowing that the sheet was going to droop as the desk was obviously not as big as he wished it could have been.
He lifted up the blanket and abruptly pulled it down and repeated the process, trying to get the sheet to flap dry.
He continued to exhaust himself flapping the sheet before deciding that he flapped it enough for it to hang up and dry. Hopefully it would dry a lot faster than simply flapping the sheet. Clark groaned clipping the clothes to the string, as he had to stand on a seat by the desk to do so.
He moved onto another sheet, feeling his arm tense up and then feel like it was going to give way.

DETENTION - Elbow Grease
259/200Clark felt the need to hate the girl for this. “Why?” He’d say softly and with great regret. He was not sorry for dumping instant mashed potatoes on her bed but he was sorry he got hurt. Sorry that his own cousin did not even get a detention. How horrendous was that?
Well, no point in complaining, he was at least mostly done. He grabbed a sheet was a tiny bit damp but not as drenched as it was earlier, and folded it, taking it long way and having the two far ends meet, a crease being created at the halfway point. He folded it again, this time taking the edge of the two edges met, and the initial crease formed, having the edge and the crease meet, a new middle made.
He put his arm a third of the way from the top and allowed the top to fall over his arm. He pulled out his arm and secured the new fold. Last part for the sheet, he would bend the half over so that it made a small square in the end.
He put it off to the side, moving onto the next sheet. Folding it with what felt like literally nothing in his brain, like it was not wanting to think. It just droned on about absolutely nothing, like his brain stopped working except only to fold the sheets. How boring it was.
When he got to the final sheet in the pile, he finished folding it and put it on top of the folded others.
