Letters Home [Solo][Closed] - Owlery

Teiki came up to the Owlery. She would probably explore a while, but hadn't really been thinking of that at the moment. She was simply excited. It would be the first letter she sent to her family. She felt a little sorry for the owl though, because she knew it would be a long trip. She looked back at the letter in her hand, knowing almost exactly what she had written. She was happy with it.

Dear Mom and Dad,
I made it safely to Hogwarts. So far, it's been really exciting to explore the place. Hogwarts is huge! I don't know if I'll ever see all of it. Probably not. Also, guess what House I'm in? Hufflepuff! I've already made 1 friend, and who knows, maybe by the time you get this letter, I'll have made another friend. I doubt it, though. Amelia, my friend, is really nice and kind. She's a Hufflepuff, like me. Dad, you were never able to actually tell me how exciting it would be to actually see Hogwarts during the boat ride. I hope you don't worry too much about me. This place is wonderful, and there are many teachers that can help me if I ever run into trouble.

Teiki had cried when she read the letters. She admitted it. They made her feel homesick, and she loved her sisters so much more as she realized how long she would have to wait before she could see them again. She had calmed down though, by the time she had gotten to the owlery. She smiled, opening up the letter from Night & Daisy.

Dear Teiki,
Night and Daisy are upset that you forgot to mention them in your letter. They are telling you that the letters are read to them as well, not just the parents. They also tell you to describe the school you are at. They say that your father's view of it is "old and Teiki is at new school." They also say that you'd better tell them all the magic you learn and friends you make or else they will steal all of your chocolate.

Dear family,
That includes the metaphor twins, no need to steal my chocolate! I think I might have a few new friends, but I haven't asked them. We seem to be getting along. As for magic, well, classes haven't started yet. But for description, well... Hogwarts is a large castle. When you go inside, there is a hall that has four long tables, each different colors. The tables represent the different houses. It's where we eat and where the sorting takes place. When you go inside, look up. All the staircases move! There are different areas that each house has for their dorm and common room. Now, I'm tired. Go ask papa for the rest of the description. I don't think it's changed a bit!

Letters, she wasn't going to write them as often now. She was starting school! It would be hard because she knew she was probably going to get overloaded eventually. She was a procrastinator after all. She smiled at the owl, pretty sure it was the same owl she had used before. "Fly safely."

Dear Family,
Well, school started. I got a week to explore around and make friends, though. So, it's been nice here. I still miss you, probably always will. It's also nice to be with others, though, too. I get to explore a completely new place! And, I've actually left France once in my life! Isn't it impressive? Homework has been interesting. While they do expect a lot, the first few days they're a little lenient, so that you can get used to the schedule. No, Papa, I don't have a favorite teacher yet. You expect me to figure that out with one interaction with them? Not possible. Maman, you should see this place! You would love it. It would also be a really hard place to play Spot the Difference. Maybe then I can actually beat you consistently. Ha! That would be the day. Tell the metaphor twins that no, I have not managed to get confetti to pop out of my wand. I don't even understand why you two care. You can easily hold it in your hands perfectly fine. There are even little popper out there, filled with confetti! Well, I hope to talk to you soon, although I'll probably only be telling you stuff when something new happens.

Teiki hadn't been ready for the homework to pile up. She quickly jogged up the steps to the Owlery, completely out of breath. She stayed at the top of the stairs, gasping for a few seconds, before finding an owl that was somewhat willing to take a letter.
"It's a long way." Teiki huffed, silently scolding herself for being out of shape. She folded the letter neatly and carefully coiled the letter around the irritated bird's leg. The bird glared at her before flying off, knowing that it needed to go all the way to France.

Dear Family,
Two letters, one after the other. Surprising, right? Honestly, I'm so exhausted. You never told me there would be this much homework. I refuse to live in these conditions! (Just kidding, but it is a ton of homework, very much not used to it.) How is everything back home? I hope you don't have too much trouble with the twins. Also, have you made sure your wand is still where it should be, Dad? I'm almost positive that Night would've probably tried to steal it by now. You know how she is. She just wants to protect and impress her sister. Honestly, I'm surprised how much personality they have already. It'll be interesting to see them when they grow up. Also, tell Lilac I miss her, too. I didn't forget her!

Teiki scrambled up the stairs, the letter pressed firmly in the palm of her fist. She huffed quickly before racing over to the owl and quickly looking around for an owl. Almost all the owls seemed exhausted, probably from the Ilvermorny Pen- no, Quill- Pals. She sighed, walking over to the least tired owl she could find.
"Sorry for the trip. At least you're not going to America?" Teiki whispered, tying the letter around the owl's leg.

Hello!
Did you know about Ilvermorny? I didn't, but I've started Quill Pals with people who go to Ilvermorny currently! It's so cool! It does mean, though, that all the owls are quite tired, so you might want to let the owl rest at our house. Anyways, school has been nice. I'm writing letters to this girl named Karilyna. She seems really nice. I've also learned a lot about their school, so that's nice. I think a lot of people have been excited about these Quill Pals because they live in another continent. It makes sense, after all, I'm really excited, too. Also, I've heard that they're supposed to come over to Hogwarts at some point! I hope they enjoy their visit, and I can't wait to actually meet my Quill Pal in person!

Teiki raced up the stairs to the Owlery. Caught up in the Ilvermorny students, work, prepping for the party, she had completely forgotten to write to her family. Quickly jotting down her letter, she glanced over at a particularly curious owl. Gently grabbing the owl, she quickly exclaimed, "You're going to France now!" The bewildered owl gave her a confused glance before heading off. She sighed, trudging down the stairs.

I'm SO SO Sorry! I completely forgot! It's honestly been quite a mess. On October 31st, there's a masquerade ball, so I've been half planning for that. Plus I was writing letters and meeting my Ilvermorny partner. It's not that I don't like her, I think she's great, but all the things I need to do have been stacking up. The homework has as well. How are the sisters? And can you say hi to Danielle and Rhianna to me? I don't know if they've been missing me, but I sure have been missing them. Also, please send photos! I need to decorate my dorm, and I'd like it to have little snapshots of home, if you are all okay with that. So yeah, there should be a photo attached, so you can criticize or applaud what I will be wearing at the Ball. Because I have no idea what I'm doing!

She had received many letters, and then decided to do procrastinate on actually writing letters back. But finally, she had waited long enough, and found a free time to write a letter, one to her family, with a few smaller letters to her friends.

She hoped she hadn't been too tired when she had wrote them..

Of course I've gone off to some boarding school. I wouldn't have left you alone if I wasn't in some other country, and you know that. I've literally got, like, two friends (laughs). Don't worry, it's you and Ray. But, hey, you might get some competition, because I'm actually meeting people! Aren't you impressed? I mean, I'm basically the same as I was in the last part of CM2.

I'm afraid to say I haven't explored much. I don't really know which places I am allowed to explore. There's a lot of restricted areas in this place, which is sort of surprising, because its a school. But it's fine. I'll figure it out eventually.

No, I was never good at finding secrets in other people. That was your specialty. I, though, could find secrets in the environment. We could've been detectives! Then, we would have Ray write all the paperwork because we both know she was the best at that (and she actually enjoyed it).

Dear Tea,
How are you doing at the new boarding school? You said that it held more of a medieval structure when it came to the building. How so? It was a little odd of you to be vague on details, as Danielle would generally spur you on. It's been a little odd, not being able to work through homework problems with someone else, but I hope you're not feeling too lonely. After all, you said that you're in England? That's pretty far from France. If you ever need any help with homework, you could still ask me, although I think you would have to turn in your homework late if you did that.

The boarding school is interesting. I don't really know how to explain the building. It's really has really large rooms, most having high ceilings. There are a lot of floors, though, so it certainly is tall.

Enough about the building, though, homework has been fine. What about you? The teachers have some really important rules that must be followed, but then they generally just ask you a few questions, so it hasn't been too bad. It has been a little odd, though, not having a buddy besides me to help.

Wow, Teiki!
You got so many letters and questions from your friends in just a few weeks. Knowing them, they probably worked together to gain the courage to make letters after not receiving any for a few months. Understandable, considering how close you were to those two girls.

The family is the same as always, a little chaotic, although Night and Daisy have started to realize that they have a better chance at getting away with things now that you are not around to stop them. I keep finding them at the very last moment. But don't worry, we'll manage without your help. Speaking of which, do the newspapers still have puzzles in them for you to work on in your free time?I would hate for you to give up that hobby, just because you couldn't really buy it somewhere. So, that's what the small package is. A mini-booklet of puzzles. Perfect for whenever you are bored.

Dear Everyone,
Thank you for the gift! I will most certainly be returning the booklet soon, with all the problems completed. I wasn't expecting this many letters. I thought they might ask you(Mom) about how I was, but I didn't realize they would actually try to send messages! I'm trying to make sure I don't tell them too much, with them all being Muggles, but Danielle's pretty clever.

You don't need my help?! How rude. No, I'm joking, but I do miss the twins, and I hope their doing well, and not making too many plans. I'm sure they'll grow out of that stage. I'll say they'll stop at the beginning of next year or when their birthday comes around (Probably beginning of year).
